Dan, Tom, Rupert and Emma had every desire to go and celebrate New Years by partying like normal teenagers. But at least Nickelodeon was letting them tape the New Years Eve special a couple days early. They did some quick non-descript tv-show intros and little shorts that could be replayed over and over again. Then they did some games with some kids, three-legged races, guessing games, and a celebrity Double Dare sequence. Then they did some Q&A.
"Is the movie almost ready?" One little boy asked hopefully.
"Goblet of Fire will be out in less than a year. We have a little more filming, then they have to put all the effects in," Rupert asked.
"Emma, do you have a boyfriend?" Another girl asked.
"Not right now," Emma said, smiling. "I'm waiting for the right boy." And then the question Dan was expecting, but somewhat dreading.
"Dan, is it true you're going out with Hilary Duff?" He smiled.
"Hil's a great friend. We've gone out on a few dates, but we're both still young. We're taking it slow."
"What are you guys doing after Harry POtter is over?" An interviewer asked.
"Well, Tom and I are working on a project with Frankie Muniz," Dan said.
"But we haven't even worked out the preproduction yet, so it might be a while still."
"Tom, is it fun playing a bad guy?" a boy asked.
"It can be quite pleasant," Tom said, "But sometimes, I can let things get away from myself," he said with a laugh.
"Yeah, we constantly have to pop his ego," Emma said, mussing up Tom's perfectly gelled hair. The interview lasted a little while longer, then they posed for some pictures with the kids, and then they all headed out to New York to party for New Years.
