Christmas at Zac's House

Written by Joy and Michelle

Cassie and Orion

Cassie woke up early on Christmass morning, and batted her brother with her paw.

Boys! Christmas! It's our second one! Let's go wake everybody up, for pressies! ! ! !

Mmmmm Orion said, sleepily waking up. Hungry. Cassie jumped to the other side, and nuzzled Saku.

Christmas! Present time!

Saku and Zac

Pressies! Saku exclaimed happily.

He took a brief moment to stretch and then bounded to Zac's room. He pawed at the door, but got no response. So he turned human, opened the door, and then went back to cat again. He leapt onto Zac's bed and pounced on his father.

"Sakuuuu," Zac mumbled. "Wanna sleeeppp..."

Saku nuzzled Zac's face affectionately and mewed.

Orion and Cassie

Orion and Cassie followed Saku into Zac's room and jump on their 'uncle,'

Zac and Saku

"Argh!" Zac groaned. "Okay, okay, I'm up, I'm up."

Saku purred and got off the bed to let Zac out.

"Yeah, yeah. Why don't you go wake up Isaac? No reason why he should miss out on the fun," Zac mumbled.

Saku nuzzled Zac's leg, then bounded out of the door to go just that.

Jessica

The kitties woke everybody up. Some of the group from the holiday had stayed over for Christmas, since it was easier than travelling during a public holiday.

"Who wants breaky before pressies?" Jessi suggested.

Saku, Zac and Isaac

"Breaky..." Saku looked pained. "Me open pressies now!"

"It's too early in the morning to be hungry," Zac yawned.

Isaac gave everyone a silly look, thinking of his previous use of telekinesis:

"Ahh, there used to be a time where I could do both at once."

Rachel and Jessica

Rach and Jess sat down on the couch, while the 'kids,' tore open present.

"Who got what?" Jess asked.

Saku, Zac and Isaac

"Ooooh," Saku grinned. "Water bombs!"

"You have hydrokinesis," Zac said, pausing in the process of opening his own present, "what do you need water bombs for?"

"Putting the water in," Saku giggled.

"Ahh."

"I notice you're opening the smallest present first," Isaac said to Zac.

"Yeah... get the small ones out of then way, and then onto the good stuff. I also notice it's from you."

"But you get two from me. And that one is more of a combinded present from myself and Taylor."

"Oh?"

Zac finished opening it, and pulled out a card. he read it, then looked at Isaac.

"You're moving?"

"We finally found a place," Isaac smiled.

"But... I thought we were having all this fun here..."

"Zac, we could hardly stay here forever. Besides, your house it way to populated for Taylor."

"I... I suppose," Zac was a little disappointed, he had been enjoying reconnecting with Taylor again. "Well, cool. When are you moving?"

"Next year," Isaac leant over and pointed. "That's the place. It's just two blocks from here."

Cassie, Orion and Jessica

Cassie looked at Zac. "Makeup, Uncle Zac? Ew. That's for girls."

"Tomboy," Orion said.

"Sissy."

"Butch"

"Girlie"

"Dyke"

"Fag."

"Bitch"

"Jerk"

"Dork"

"Nerd"

"Geek"

"Loser." They both shifted into cat form and wrestled for a few minutes, then started cuddling, and nuzzling each other.

"Cats are very strange people," Jessi said.

Saku and Zac

"Hey, I resemble that remark," Saku joked.

"Well," Zac shrugged. "I would have thought you would have liked make up. Y'know, being a girl and all. But hey, it could be useful if you get into acting, or costume parties or something."

Cassie and Orion

Cassie turned back into human and looked at Zac. Smiling, she changed her comlpexion with her mind. She went from pale, to brow, to black, and her eyes and hair changed colour as well.

"I knew you were going to do that," Orion said, turning human and sticking out his tongue.

"That's 'cause you're a cheating precog."

"Tramp."

"Cheater."

"Slut,"

"Oaf."

"Please, please," Jessi asked. "Enough with the namecalling!"

Zac and Saku

"Okay, maybe not," Zac said. "Oh, well, you have a present to give someone else then."

"But it's funny when they call each other names," Saku said, giggling.

Orion and Cassie

Cassie and Orion handed a big box to Zac, as a thank you for letting them stay at his house. Inside the box was a bunch of baby clothes for Elektra, and a set of carved wooden cats, one for each doorway in the house. They were imbued with a protection charm, to shield the house from all evil and malicious intent. They handed Isaac a box of the same cat statues, so that what happened with Ashley would never happen again.

"Merry Christmas," they said together.

Zac, Isaac and Saku

"Hey, thank you," Zac said, smiling, seeing the presents.

"Yes, thanks," Isaac agreed. "Wow, these cats are amazing."

He admired the craftsmanship.

"Magic," Saku informed them. "Protection charm to shield the house of all evil and malicious intent. Good for your new house when you move out with Uncle Tay."

"Really?" Isaac looked interested.

"And to think, two years ago we knew nothing of this magic stuff," Zac grinned. "Thanks again."

Saku pulled out a couple of presents and gave them to Cassie and Orion.

"Merry Christmas!"

He had spent a great deal of time storing a little fire magic into bottles for his cousins. When released, they could either make a 'protection from fire' charm or something akin to a lighter (or flame thrower). Saku couldn't decide what, so figured he'd leave it up to them.

Cassie, Orion, Rachel and Jessica

"Oh, Saku, these are so cool!" Cassie said.

"Totally," Orion said.

"We made something for you together, 'cause it took a lot of magic and practice," Cassie said. Cassie and Orion had spent hours taking a handheld mirror, and putting their Sight into it. It would probably wear off eventually, but if Saku didn't ask it too many questions, it might last a few months.

Rachel gave both Cassie and Orion some new clothes for school, And Jessi gave everybody a woven bracelet she'd made herself. They werte all in different colours and patterns. Rachel's had three little babies on it, Cassie's had a cat on either side of a girl holding a sword. Saku's was red and black, with a small cat, with flames on either side. Jess had spent hours working on them.

Saku and Zac

"Ooh, Saku likes," Saku beamed. "Tanky Auntie Jessi!"

Soon all the presents were unwrapped and Zac heard his stomach growl He glanced at the clock.

"Okay, now it's not too early in the morning for breaky," he said.

Cassie, Orion, Jessica and Rachel

"Eggs?" Cassie said hopefully.

"BAcon?" Orion suggested.

"I'm making pancakes," Jessi declared. "I'll go fire up the griddle. But we can cook pancaked and eggs and bacon at the same time, if somebody else wants to prepare them."

"Mmmmmm," Rach said, "Pancakes."

Zac and Saku

"I shall help," Zac said, getting up.

He went into the kitchen and started getting stuff out.

"Yay, bacon and eggs and pancakes!" Saku bounced.

Jessica

"We should go visit MOm and Dad today," Jess suggested, "Since it's Christmas and all. Or are they gonna come visit us?" She asked as she flipped pancakes.

Isaac and Zac

"Actually, I believe Mum and Dad are out visiting other relatives today," Isaac said. "They said something about going over to Uncle... Uncle..."

"John?" Zac suggested.

"We don't have a Uncle John."

"No, but we have so many Uncles we may as well have an Uncle John. Have a bunch of Aunts too."

Jessica and Rachel

"We have an Uncle John," Jessi said. "Uncle Mike's first name is John, Mike is his middle name," Jessi said.

"You have too many people in your family," Rach declared.

Isaac and Zac

"Oh yeah, I was forgetting that," Isaac said.

"Yeah... and I just added to that number," Zac smirked. "And come February, there's going to be another one... and I don't even have any nieces and nephews yet."

Jessica

"Well, I'm waiting until my wedding night," Jessi said. "No kids til after husband. What about you, Ikey?"

Isaac and Zac

"Agreed," Isaac said. "But I want a wife, not a husband."

"Rats, I was hoping you wouldn't notice what you said," Zac said, snapping his fingers.

"Why? You wanted to make some comment about my sexual orientation?"

"Yes. And then you had to spoil it."

"Nah nah."

Jessica and Rachel

"Why do you think I said husband and not marriage?" Jess said, waggling her eyebrows.

"It's a conspiracy," Rach said to Ike seriously.

Isaac and Zac

Isaac nodded, regarding Jess.

"I think you and Zac got a little too close during your year away," he said decidedly. "You've both been rather buddy buddy since you got back."

"That's cause she is my bud," Zac nodded, putting his arm around Jess's shoulders.

Jessica

"He's my big sister," Jess explained. "Oh, and I've decided, that if Zac is Tigger and I'm Roo, Julie must be Kanga."

Isaac

"Uhh, how does that make Julie Kanga?" Isaac asked. "Kanga is Roo's mother, isn't she?"

Rachel

"Kanga's are always pregnant!" Rach said, laughing at Jessi's joke. "Please pass the eggs," she said to Zac.

Isaac and Zac

"Ahh, I see," Isaac nodded.

Zac passed the eggs to Rachel.

"There you be," he said.

Jessica

"What time is Church?" Jess asked Zac.

Zac

"Nine, I think," Zac replied.

And they all spent a fabulous Christmas day together doing lots of Christmas day type things. Yay.
