Julie and Friday were headed down to meet the others for breakfast when Julie paused in the middle of the walkway, hand to her stomach.
"Julie?" Friday asked.
"It's time," Julie replied, meeting her friend's eyes.
"Oh, fun," Friday said wryly. "Back to the bedroom?"
Julie groaned.
"I think they're going to be quick, just like the others were."
Julie had been shocked (and even a little terrified) when she found out that she was having twins yet again.
"Okay," Friday said.
She picked up Julie easily (ahh, slayer strength), and started carrying Julie back to their room.
Willow and Dawn
Willow and Dawn were walking and joking on their way to breakfast. On the way they came upon Friday carrying Julie .
"Is it time?" Willow asked. "I can help."
"As can I," Dawn said.
Julie and Friday
"Oh it's time all right," Julie groaned.
"I figure our room is the best place right now," Friday said. "And any help would be greatly appreciated. Like opening the door when we get to the room."
Willow and Dawn
"How bout this?" Willow said, and in an instant, they were all transported to the room.
"Teleportation spells do come in handy," Dawn said, as she wen t to the stocked medicine cabinent. With all the pregnant females around, they had made sure that they would have everything they needed for baby delivery-- gauze, sterile scissors, a baby bath, and injection bottles and needles. Not that they needed anything with a godess living with them.
Willow kissed Julie's forehead and touched her belly, applying the same calming magic she had done with Rachel.
Julie, Friday and Saku
"Willow, you are a beautiful person," Julie said thankfully.
Friday grinned and put Julie down on the bed.
"Pretty good trick," she said.
"Thanks," Julie smiled.
Saku took this moment to let himself in.
"Ah ha!" he grinned. "I so knew I could smell babies being born."
"Saku," Friday frowned. "This isn't really -"
Saku turned into a cat and looked up at Friday with pathetic "Aww but I'm so cute and you know you want me to be here" kitty-cat eyes.
"You know what else is a pretty good trick?" Julie asked. "Baby number one, coming right now."
Orion and Dawn
Orion bounded in in cat form, the scent of Willow's magic calling him in.
baby! he said, as he watched Willow catch the new baby. We should bless these ones too!
Dawn grabbed the supplies to cut the chord, and the injection to give the baby.
Julie, Friday and Saku
Julie took a moment to catch her breath, before preparing to push baby #2 out.
"It's good that there's not much time between twins," Friday said. "I read somewhere that the... once the whateveritis is burst, babies aren't able to get as much oxygen or something. I think it's why people prefer the head to come out first."
Yeah! Saku agreed. We blessed Anakin and Krit and Elektra and if we bless these two then we have blessed all the babies born on this trip. Yay!
Orion, Dawn and Willow
What should we give these ones?
Dawn cleaned and wrapped the first baby while Willow and Friday delivered the second one.
Julie, Friday and Saku
"Aww, another baby girl," Friday said. "Congratulations Julie, you're now the proud mother of twin girls. Yay."
Julie smiled.
"Thanks," she said.
Hmm, Saku considered thoughtfully, I likes my danger sense blessing, but me not know if I wants to repeat myself. What do you think?
Orion
I think I'll give these ones blessing from my Sight. They'll be able to read people very well, and have a sense or feeling before good, bad or different things happen. Unconscious, but present. Orion said, and it was odd to see a cat wink.
Friday, Julie and Saku
"So, have you finally decided on names yet?" Friday asked, knowing she had gone through whole lists of combinations.
"Yep," Julie replied.
"And?"
"Cindy Ezri, and Dax Max."
Hmm... Saku said, sniffing the twins, They smell a little icy... I think I shall bless them from my fire magic with protection from fire.
Orion and Rachel
"I think my boys are going to sweep your girls off their feet," Rach said, as she wiped the sweat off Julie's forhead, and Willow disposed of the afterbirth.
Ew Orion said.
Julie
Julie managed a giggle.
"Is that a promise, threat or prediction?" she asked. "A good thing or a bad thing?"
Rachel
"How cute would it be if my twins married your twins in a little double wedding," Rachel said, gushing.
Julie
"Very cute," Julie agreed. "But a little premature seeing as Cindy and Dax were only born a few minutes ago."
Rachel
"Why don't you rest, since you just gave birth," Rach suggested, gently hugging Julie.
Julie
Julie hugged Rachel back.
"I will, thanks."
