Zac paused as she was getting into bed.
"Okay," she said to herself. "That's was weird."
Plus then there was the whole bad indigestion thing going on. Zac started getting herself back into bed again when she felt a sharp pain and groaned.
Jessica
"Zac?" Jessi asked, waking up. "What's wrong?"
Zac
"I have no idea," Zac complained. "I've had this bad case of indigestion all freaking evening, I feel like I've wet myself and now I have this piecing pain in my tummy. As if the indigestion wasn't back enough."
It never even occured to Zac that she might be in labour.
Jessica
"It sounds to me," Jess said, "Like you're in labor. I'll go wake everybody up." She went out and got Rachel, Julie, Friday, Willow and Dawn. She decided to let the cats stay curled up.
Zac, Julie and Friday
Zac made herself comfortable on the bed.
Julie and Friday soon arrived. It was soon apparent Zac was taking awhile to get to point of full dialation.
"Never know Zac," Julie teased, "might take days. Some women do."
"You suck Julie. Friday! This is all your fault!"
"Ahh," Friday nodded. "The blaming."
Jessica, Willow and Orion
Four hours later, they baby had not come yet. Jessi got some ice chips for Zac to suck on.
Willow was a heavy sleep, but she soon woke up, and decided to cast her relaxion spell again, kissing Zac's forhead, and touching her belly.
Saku Orion said stretching. I smell babyness
Zac and Saku
Zac was muttering things about Friday being evil and he shouldn't have listened to Terry, and this and that. When queried about who Terry was, Zac just replied "an old friend". When asked what Terry had to do with the baby, he responded "Wouldn't you like to know?", not willing to divulge Terry's role in his agreeing to have a baby.
Saku poked his nose up in the air and sniffed.
Mmm same, he said. Dad or Julie?
He stood and stretched as well, then played follow the scent.
Guess it's Dad, he said as he arrived at the room Zac was sharing with Jessi.
Orion
Smells like a hard birth Orion commented.
Saku and Zac
Yeah... Poor Dad Saku said sympathetically.
Zac continue to blame and mutter for another four hours before the baby began to emerge.
Willow
"I see the head," WIllow said. "One more big push."
Zac
Zac would have muttered something about "That's easy for you to say", but she was too busy with that "one more big push".
Willow and Dawn
Willow eased the baby out of Zac. "It's a girl, and she's perfect," Willow said, grinning. She handed her to Dawn, who did her thing with the injections and cleaning her off and tying off the chord. Willow disposed of the afterbirth, and Dawn set the baby in Zac's arms.
Zac, Friday and Saku
"Aww," Zac cooed. "She's beautiful."
Friday felt a little awakward standing off to the side, and walked around to have a closer look at her daughter. Still feeling a little wrong, she changed herself into a boy.
"She is beautiful," he whispered softly.
D'wanna bless my half sister too? Saku asked. Me gonna bless her! Me bless her with, ummm... fire fingers!
Orion and Willow
Hmm Orion thought. I bless her from vampire side. I bless her with immunity to hypnotism!
Willow also blessed the baby, sensing her Potential. She wondered if she should tell Zac and Friday now or later.
Julie
"Aww," Julie sniffed. "Does anyone have a camera? It's such a photo moment... the way male Friday is leaning over female Zac and little Elektra."
Jessica
Jessi reached under her bed and grabbed her digi-cam, snapping a few pictures.
Julie
"Thank you," Julie said happily. "Have to get a good one developed and blown up and give it to everyone. So cute."
And soon everyone parted ways.
