Hunter and Ivan were waiting outside Tate's door as it opened.
"Well, hi boys," she said. "Were you waiting for me?"
"We heard you came back," Hunter nodded with a smile.
"Yep," Tate smiled back. "An hour ago."
"Well, we figured we'd give you a chance to settle in," Ivan said.
"Thank you."
"So, how was Australia?"
"Australia was awesome," Tate nodded. "In some ways they were as bad as the Americans to convince that equal mutant rights were a good idea, but in other ways they were just as easy as the Brits."
"Yeah? So, we have a treaty?" Hunter asked.
"As of yesterday," Tate confirmed. "They're going to be talking about it on the news tonight, so I'm not spoiling anything by telling you now."
"Do you have your next assignment yet?"
Tate groaned.
"I just wanna enjoy Christmas," she admitted. "But I've been invited to Max and Liz's wedding - "
"Oh have you?"
"Purely in a diplomatic capacity, as I've never met bride, nor groom. I feel so weird going to their wedding," Tate shook her head. "But a whole bunch of American diplomats and other important indiviiduals are going to be there, so of course, YIRAAS have to send their own."
She rolled her eyes.
"I don't want to think about work," she said. "What about you guys? Whatcha been up to?"
"Nothing as exciting as you," Ivan replied. "Although, Hunter and I can been thinking we might apply to become YIRAAS Agents when we're old enough."
"Yeah?"
"Yeah," Hunter confirmed. "But don't tell Yvette. You know how she is about that kind of thing."
"She'll probably disown us," Ivan said cheerfully. "Oh, cool, let's tell her!"
