There was some part of Leroy that didn't like what he was about to do. He argued with himself: how was this any different from what he did when he was in the field? It wasn't!
But it was, and he knew it. Whenever Christian was involved Leroy just couldn't feel like he could trust Tanya. And he felt terrible for feeling that way, but he did even though in every other area he knew he could trust her completely. Leroy understood that she had a strong relationship with Christian... Leroy supposed that he felt this relationship tended to cloud her judgement.
It was with a heavy heart that he picked up the phone.
"Tad Forrest."
"Ahh, Tad," Leroy said. "Leroy Brown here."
"Sir! What can I do for you?"
"I'd like you to take on a few extra - confidential - duties for me."
"Sir?"
Leroy wished he would forget the 'sirs', but perhaps that attitude would suit his purpose better.
"I would like you to send me copies of the reports that you send Tanya. I would also like you to send me any additional information on these... friends of Taylors. Especially the Christian Thomas you mentioned."
Tad beamed. He knew that Leroy Brown couldn't be in on the conspiracy.
"Yes sir."
Leroy supplied him with approriate contact information and the two soon hung up. Tad rubbed his hands together. Good. At last they were going to quash this corruption.
