Isaac didn't know why he was so nervous about asking his brothers about touring again. But he was. At the end of the day's band practice he cleared his throat. He had to say something sooner or later.
"Uh guys? I have a question."
"Then ask," Zac responded as he put his drumsticks away, "Ask and you may even get an answer."
"Well, uhh, how do you guys feel about us touring again next year? Early next year even."
Taylor
"Touring?" Taylor gulped, looking almost like a deer in headlights as he looked up.
He looked toward Zac.
Isaac and Zac
Zac matched Taylor's eyes as Isaac continued:
"It's been ages since we last toured, and we have all this material and we're not doing anything with it," he rattled on, "and we need to do something to maintain our fans if we plan on continuing on in the industry. And I don't know about you guys, but I'm getting a little restless for a good tour."
"Uhh, well..." Zac began.
"Please?"
Zac's eyebrows went up.
Taylor
Taylor's followed.
He quickly glanced at Zac again before hanging his head, his mind racing.
"Are... are you sure it's a good idea?" was the best he could come up with, looking up again.
"I mean... we're really out of practise when it comes to that. And I don't know... I think we should start off smaller. I mean I don't know if we - if I - could handle something on a large scale this soon."
He looked to Zac again for support.
Isaac and Zac
"Uhh, yeah... Y'know, Tay can't handle the crowds," Zac put in. "We should ease into it again, otherwise y'know... we don't want Tay's alterego to make a cameo appearence."
Isaac chewed his lip and nodded. He could see the sense in that - heck, he had even mentioned it to Ash! Now he felt bad because he didn't put two and two together earlier. He just really wanted to tour.
"Well, umm... how about a promo tour?" he suggested. "I mean... why leave all our material just lying around gathering dust, so to speak? We could release an album and go promote that... would that be small enough for you to handle?"
Taylor
"I don't know," Taylor shrugged, "I guess... I won't know until it happens..."
He gave Zac another worried glance, purposely not looking at Isaac.
Zac and Isaac
Zac gave Taylor a look, hoping he would get the message "we have to give him something".
"We should find somewhere local to record this stuff. When we're happy with it, we can make arrangements for the promo," Zac said. "Sound like a plan?"
Isaac smiled and nodded.
"Yeah," he said. "Thanks guys."
Taylor
"No... problem..." Taylor trailed off, getting up to put the guitar he was holding in a rack.
Isaac and Zac
"Great," Isaac grinned, putting his own guitar away. "Well, I'm going to get dinner."
"Okay," Zac said. "Meetcha down there."
Isaac left. Zac waited a moment, then turned to Taylor.
"You okay with this?" he asked.
Taylor
"No," Taylor replied straight away.
"But what choice do I have?"
