Next applicant please!

Prince Harry and Miette

Prince Harry finished writing down his notes.

"Okay, who's next?" he asked.

"This one's Psylocke," Miette said, passing the file on.

Miette and Prince Harry were going through the applicants. It had been so exciting when the first one had come in, and now they had more than they could count. And it seemed to be rather common for them to have codenames at that.

"Interesting. Oh look, her real name is Elizabeth Braddock. Any relation?"

"Not that I know of."

"Telepathy and telekinesis. That seems to be a common combination. Guess we'll need to have at least one of those."

"She seems to think she has a bit of a spin on it though."

"Psionic sword?" Prince Harry raised his eyebrow. "Okay, bizarro world."

Miette chuckled.

"Fine ones are we to talk about bizarro world," she said, putting the tape into the machine. "Okay, Miss Psylocke. Let's see what you've got."

The two sat back to watch. Psylocke talked about and demonstrated her powers. Then the tape finished and while it rewound, the two refered to the application again.

"I think she likes purple," Miette said. "Purple hair. And her psionic sword was purple too."

"I'm personally surprised the sword showed up. I mean, it's some sort of telepathic thing, right?"

Miette shrugged.

"Well, in either case it makes her an interesting prospect," she said. "Fact is, we can see it, which does make it a point in her favour, I think."

"Ahh, her little spin which may actually succeed in putting her above the other telepath/telekinetics?"

"Yes."

"Hmm. Okay, what about experience," Prince Harry ran his finger down the pages. "Hey, she's a model."

"Yeah, but does she actually have any experience acting?"

"Ahh, you think all models are dumb?"

"No, but I'm naturally skeptical about anyone who makes a living out of their appearence."

Prince Harry chuckled.

"Well, you're in luck. Not as extensive as her modelling, but there are a few things here."

Miette scanned the page.

"Hmm. Maybe."

"Well, the power was a winner for you. And I think I should point out that most of the applicants we've seen haven't had much experience."

"A couple of them aren't even mutants."

"That too. Well, I say we bring her in for an audition. Prospects here, methinks."

Miette nodded.

"Okay," she said agreeably.

They updated their notes, and went on to the next applicant. An ever growing pile of applicants.
