Forget Something?

Written by AiMsTeR and Michelle

Taylor

Taylor had banished himself to his room to mull over what had happened the day before. It was the only way he could get away from everyone, including Tad, though he was sure at least someone was outside to make sure he didn't go through the window. This was worse than being in a freaking mental institute.

He was suddenly pulled from his thoughts by his cell phone ringing. Groaning to himself, he leant over to answer it.

"Hello?"

"Good morning Sir. Is this a Mr. Jordan Taylor Hanson?"

"Ah... yes?" Taylor frowned, confused.

"We are aware that your previous residence suffered a natural disaster this week. The YIRAAS were brought in due to the knowledge that Dathrians were in fact in the area, and we've managed to secure some of your belongings that obviously humans should not encounter."

Taylor hesitated, trying to think of what that was.

"You didn't happen to find any musical instruments intact, did you?"

"...None that we know of. Do you wish to pick these belongings up, or should we have them delivered free of charge?"

"Delivery would be great."

"Can I have your new address then Sir?"

Taylor gave them Zac's address, and soon hung up.

Isaac

Later that afternoon, a courier arrived at their doorstep.

"I've a package for a Taylor Hanson," she said.

"I'm his brother," Isaac replied, having been the one to answer the door bell.

She nodded and held out the clipboard and a pen.

"If you could sign here please?"

Isaac signed the spot indicated, the courier relinquished the package and departed. Isaac took up the package and headed inside to find Taylor.

"Hey, Tay," he said, when he found him. "Package for you."

Taylor

Taylor hesitated, confused, then his eyes widened.

"Oh! It's something... something the YIRAAS found at the apartment..." his exclamation gradually dropped to a murmur as he got up and took it from Isaac.

Still wondering what it could be, he set it down on the diningroom table and - using his finger as a guide - used his atom manipulation to separate the tape that held it together. When he pulled the box open, his eyes widened and a grin spread across his face.

"Tay-Tay!"

"Flavian!" Taylor exclaimed, reaching in to pull him out.

He also noticed Meena, Xanthe, Mya and Dorian in the box.

Isaac

"Oh wow," Isaac said. "I can't believe we forgot them. Hey little guys!"

Saku, as a cat, came poking into the room. He jumped up on the table and peered in the box. Oh... it was just those balls of fur that he wasn't allowed to chase. Bah. It wasn't like he wanted to eat them or anything. Just chase them. Fuzzles were more fun to chase than jumping insects.

Taylor

"Ikey!" Flavian squeaked.

"I can't believe it either," Taylor's eyebrows rose, as he suddenly began to feel very, very guilty.

"S'okie Tay-Tay," Meena insisted, "we found! We good!"

"What happened to you guys?" Taylor shook his head incredulously.

"Big house go boom!" Xanthe exclaimed, jumping at the last word and falling over onto her side, rolling around a little before she could pick herself up again.

"We hide. Big, big cupboard. Bam! Came crash down! We stay hiding. Long, long time. Big person come. Knew what were..."

"Soldier peoples! Day brought us back!" Mya ended.

"Ok well, as long as you guys weren't hurt or anything," Taylor insisted.

"Dori hurted footsy, but ok now," Xanthe admitted.

Isaac and Zac

Saku shifted back into human form.

"Hewoo wittle fuzzlies," he said.

"Well, it's good to have you guys back, safe and sound."

"Who's safe and sound?" asked Zac, wandering in.

"Taylor's fuzzles. The YIRAAS found them at our former abode and sent them onto us."

"Ahh!" Zac exclaimed. "Cool! No worse for wear I hope?"

He looked inquiringly at Taylor.

Taylor

"Dorian apparently hurt his foot, but that's all I know," Taylor shrugged.

"Otherwise, they're fine. Thank God. Now I just have to work out what they're going to sleep in..."

Zac and Isaac

"How about a bed?" Saku asked.

"Volunteering your kitty basket?" Zac asked cheekily.

Saku considered for a moment.

"Yeah, they can have dat!" he said agreeably. "There are much, much better places to have catnaps."

Zac shook his head, and Isaac looked at both of them.

"Why do you have a kitty basket? Surely you have an actual bed?"

"Of course he does," Zac replied. "But he kept pestering me for a kitty basket, and of course when he wants a catnap he never uses it. That's not to say that he neccesarily uses his bed either."

Saku giggled knowingly.

Taylor

"Well, great. As long as it's not too big it should be perfect," Taylor gave Saku a short smile.

"Where is it?"

Saku

"It's in the playroom," Saku replied. "But it doesn't need to stay there."

He peered in closer at the fuzzles, his little face halfway in the box.

Taylor

"Great," Taylor nodded, picking up the box.

"Guess I'd better go and get these guys settled in. Want to show me where it is, Saku?"

Saku

"Okay," Saku said cheerfully.

He shifted back to cat, and juped gracefully down off the table. In typical feline fashion, he sauntered off to the playroom, expecting that Taylor was right behind him, to show hin where the kitty basket was.
