The Adventures of Rogue: A call for help

Written by Michelle

Rogue

"Hello?"

"Oh, thank goodness you're there," Rogue said.

"Umm, who's this?"

"Oh, sorry. Ah'm Rogue. We met a couple of months ago... Ah traded you Rosa?"

"Oh! Rogue! How you doing?"

"Good, good. Well, except for one little thing..."

"What's that?"

"Well, accordin' to plan, Azure and Caleb hit it off. But not according to plan, Libahty and her partner Red... well... lets just say I had two pregnant fuzzles at once."

"I see. And..." Mitchel thought for a moment. "So they're probably both due about now?"

"Yes. Well, Libahty had hers about a week ago, and Azure just had hers then. They're absolutely gorgeous, by the way. Two aquahmarine, two magentah and two purple - lilac Ah think and a lavendah. Ah was kinda hoping for a spotted or striped one, but maybe next time."

"Maybe. And so now you're trying to figure out how to look after them all?"

"Yes! Ah completely forgot how much harder it is to look after newborns and now Ah have 12 of them! Ah mean, Ah knew it would be tricky but..."

"I know what you mean. Well, for the most part, the adult fuzzles will help you out. You only have to last until... Feburary and you can safely sell them off. But that's 4 months away, of course. And by that time I imagine that you'll have the next pair ready to go."

"Don't remind me."

Mitchel chuckled.

"Ok, that playground should be big enough to look after them all. Make sure you have enough food. And impress on the adults - the parents especially - that they're responible for their children. So when one of the kids muck up, wait for one of the adults to scold them, and if they don't, scold the child, and then scold the parents for letting them get away with it. You'll be fine. Plus you have an advantage in having a white one - she'll be quick to help get them into line."

Mitchel proceeded to give Rogue a few more tips, and she breathed a sigh of relief.

"Thanks," she said.

"No problem. So, where are you now, anyway, if you don't mind my asking?"

"Naw. Ah'm in Genovia. Actually, Ah should be moving on soon anyway. These amphllifiers are awfully useful - and there's so many places easy - and cheap - to go to now."

"They've got a couple in Australia now, I believe."

"Really? Cool. Maybe Ah'll go there. Or England. Ah always wanted to go to Europe."

Mitchel grinned, and the two continued chatting until Rogue had to get back to her fuzzles.
