Needing

Taylor

It was somewhere near the middle of the night when Taylor woke up for apparently no reason.

Finding himself unable to get back to sleep, he got out of bed and made his way to the bathroom. As he made his way to the basin, he carefully took off his left wristband which hadn't left his wrist for weeks now.

He looked over his wrist for a moment, noticing a few small scars here and there no doubt from cuffs or ropes. Minor ones that he'd neglected to get healed, and some that just hadn't been able to be healed in time.

Taking a deep breath, he took off the watch on his right wrist as well, and ran them under the water. Then he fetched some ointment from the cabinet and softly rubbed some in to his wrists before replacing both his watch and the band.

Then he looked up into the mirror at himself. Having a few mental flashbacks, he decided he didn't look too bad. Save for the constant bags under his eyes which he'd almost gotten used to.

Why didn't he look too bad? Why was he missing something?

His eyes fell to the basin again, and ran along the small bench in the bathroom. There really wasn't much in there at all. But as this was where they kept the medicine cabinet, he knew what he'd find if he looked behind the glass door.

He opened it and searched through until he found them. It was only a small pair of scissors. Used for cutting bandages and such only when they really needed it.Using his atom manipulation, Taylor lengthened the blades and eventually joined them together. Thinking carefully and taking the consequences of his actions into account, he lifted the front of his shirt a little and lay the silver blade against his chest.

He flinched a little as only a few drops of blood escaped, but he knew that was enough. Taking a shaky breath, he quickly returned the scissors to normal and put them away.He took a large bandaid, and after washing some of the blood away placed it over the cut.

When he was done, he turned the lights off and headed back to bed, satisfied for now.
