Red Carpet

Oliver and Yvette

Oliver looked around at the front of the cinema with raised eyebrows.

"What do they think this is? A Holywood Premiere?" he whispered to Yvette.

Yvette giggled. It was opening night of Yvette's latest movie and there were people crowding outside the cinema. Yvette and Oliver were all dressed up, along with other members of the cast and crew and their partners. There was even red carpet adorning the deck. Red carpet, that they were walking down to the entrance.

"Okay, seriously. I know that for surivival reasons we've had to act like humans. But when we're amongst our own, can't we cut out the crap."

"It's not crap," Yvette rebuked, waving to everyone. "It's fun. And need I be the one reminding you that're you're half human."

"Is there a way to disown DNA?"

"Haha."

They finally entered the cinema (as Oliver made a comment about drawing the line at papparazzi, to which Yvette agreed) and were escorted to their seats.

"Have I ever mentioned I hate watching myself?" Yvette asked.

"You do?" Oliver inquired. "Then why are we here?"

"Umm, to save face?"

"Ahh, I see."

"I'm just going to go through this whole movie watching myself and going 'okay I could have done that line better' or 'why did they have to use that take'."

Oliver chuckled, and soon the movie began.
