Diana
Diana opened the door to see Randy standing there.
"Hi Randy," she greeted. "Come in, come in."
"Thank you, Diana," Randy smiled.
"What can I do for you?"
"Actually, it's more what I can do for you."
"Oh?" Diana asked as they sat down.
"Diana... you'll remember the flu epidemic we had some months ago?"
"Yes?"
"The results of the cure that we found for that has had some interesting side effects we didn't predict. There was a healer who caught the flu who had Verizik. Somehow the flu cure caused a... a chain reaction, if you will. It reactivated his ability to heal himself, just enough so that he could cure himself of Verizik."
Diana stared.
"Randy? What are you saying?"
"I am saying that we now have a cure for Verizik, in all stages."
Diana gaped, and Randy smiled.
"I can heal you now, if you want."
Unable to say a word, Diana nodded, but barely. Randy put his hand on Diana's shoulder and concentrated. Slowly, Diana started to feel emotions again. The change was so incredible it was hard for her to comprehend that she had survived on feeling so little without noticing.
Soon Randy took his hand off.
"Better?"
Diana nodded again, her eyes wide.
"I... I never realised... Randy, thank you so much!"
Randy grinned, standing up.
"Was my pleasure, Diana."
Diana stood up as well, and smiled back.
"I know."
