Christian & Lucious
The van came to a halt by the edge of a lake, and the men began to get out.
Patrick and other in the back - who Christian had heard someone call 'Duke' - began to unhook his handcuffs and shackles before pulling him out.
Lucious watched over them as they lifted him into their arms, before Michael led the way down a jetty to a boat.
Boarding, Michael began to fuss around before letting the others on board. As soon as they were, the engine was started.
Christian was sat on a sofa, the handcuffs taken off his left wrist, replaced by a pole at the back of the lounge. His shackles were removed, before Patrick and Duke left Lucious alone with him.
Lucious withdrew his presence from his mind.
Christian blinked for a moment - his eyes have dried slightly - before looking around.
"Welcome aboard," Lucious smiled, catching his attention.
"Where are we?" he demanded.
"That's not of your concern," Lucious insisted, "and don't bother trying. I've blocked your powers. Of course."
Then Christian realized he wasn't wearing the collar. He glared.
"What do you want?"
"For now? You. Out of the way."
"Out of the way of what?" Christian demanded, looked confused.
"Out of the way... of Craig's promising death."
"What?!"
Christian bolted up, though his wrist held him bending down. He glared at Lucious again.
"You touch him..."
"I don't have to touch him," Lucious held his hands up in surrender, "I'm not the one that's going to kill him. Young Avery Hanson is."
Christian frowned.
"Bulls#i+."
Lucious shrugged.
"We've been predicting it for a time now..." he revealed, "Michael is a seer, Patrick is telekinetic like yourself, and Duke there has Creation."
Christian gulped as he pulled on his wrist.
"And you won't be doing yourself any favours fighting it, when you know it's going to happen," Lucious pointed out.
"Why are you letting this happen?!" Christian exclaimed, "does he mean nothing to you?!"
"He means far less to me than he means to you."
And with that, Lucious punched Christian in the stomach.
"Sit down."
Christian gasped for breath for a moment, sitting back down heavily.
"And besides..." Lucious began, massaging his fist, "with Craig dead and you out of the way as his heir, I can form my own little... party."
Christian looked up at him through tired eyes.
"And what are you going to do? Kill me?"
Lucious seemed to consider it.
"We'll see how far things go," Lucious bent over and patted Christian's cheek, before leaving the cabin.
