Rogue
Rogue crept down the hall and slipped into Dirk's bedroom, knife firmly gripping in her hand.
"Deserves to die. Little bastard. Hurt Julie."
She stepped to the side of his bed. Eyed the lump and then stabbed in the knife. Adrenaline kicked in then and she stabbed multiple times, before she realised that something was wrong.
Dirk wasn't in the bed.
Oh that's right. He was in the medlab after the beating he had gotten yesterday.
Rogue suck down by the bed and cried. Damn it, she couldn't believe she had just... just given in to Calvin like that! What if that had really been Dirk? She would have killed him.
"But he deserves it. Deserves to die. Deserves his blood to be spilt."
"Shut up Calvin."
A monster. That's what she was. That's what she had inside her. Monsters. And now she was becoming one too.
Without realising what exactly what she was doing she found herself walking to Bobby's door. She knocked tentatively.
"He's probably asleep..." she thought to herself.
She turned to leave.
Bobby
Bobby yawned and slowly got out of bed, adjusting his boxers. He opened the door and squinted in the darkness.
"Rogue?"
Rogue
"I, I'm sorry," Rogue said. "I know it's late... I don't even know why I came here..."
She chewed her lip, then shook her head.
"No... I do... it's Julie."
Bobby
Bobby blinked.
"Is she alright? What's happened?"
He stepped away from his door.
"Come in."
Rogue
Rogue slowly stepped inside.
"Nothing happened... well... no... but nothing..." she sighed.
Why were words giving her so much trouble right now?
"I... I tried to kill Dirk."
Bobby
Bobby sighed and put his hand on her shoulder.
"Can't blame you."
He pushed some clothes off a seat.
"Here, sit down. What can I do for you?"
Rogue
"Didn't work too well... he wasn't there, y'know, in his room," Rogue said as she sat down.
She shook her head.
"I don't know why I came to you... Well, I do, but I don't... Julie would..."
Bobby
"Julie would?"
Bobby's eyebrows crinkled in confusion.
"She'd what?"
Rogue
"It's because of her I'm here..." Rogue said. "Because I needed someone to talk to and you're who she would go to."
She looked into his eyes.
"She loves you, you know."
Bobby
Bobby chuckled.
"No, she doesn't."
Rogue
Rogue shook her head.
"No, really, she does. She won't admit it, but she does," Rogue insisted.
Bobby
Bobby smiled and lay back on his bed.
"No, she just finds me convenient. If she loves anyone, she'd love Tav."
Rogue
"Is that what you think you are to her? A convience?" Rogue asked. "If anything, it's the other way around. Althought I don't think she's actually use that word, but that's not the point."
Bobby
"No, I..."
Bobby looked at his feet.
"Look, she doesn't love me, it's just a no strings thing."
Rogue
"It's okay," Rogue said. "Julie won't admit it either. She's scared, y'know... scared that no one would ever love her that way so she pretends not to care."
Rogue shrugged, and pointed to her head.
"But she's in here now. And what she won't admit to herself she can't hide from me. You were why she said no."
Bobby
Bobby looked up at Rogue in surprise.
"But... I..."
He looked back down at his feet.
Rogue
Rogue chewed her lip.
"I'm, I'm sorry," she said softly. "Maybe I shouldn't have told you... I mean, it's Julie's secret... Argh it's so confusing..."
Bobby
Bobby rubbed his eyes.
"No, it's ok. I just... I don't know what to do with that particular bit of information at the moment."
He paused.
"I... I love her, you know."
Rogue
Rogue smiled.
"You should tell her that," she said softly, "when she wakes up."
Then the smile fell.
Bobby
Bobby sat up and touched Rogue's cheek.
"Hey, she'll wake up, it'll be ok."
Rogue
Rogue nodded slowly.
"I... I guess it's better... her being in a coma right now... At least when she wakes up she won't be in so much pain."
Bobby
"Yeah."
Bobby sighed.
"I might go see her."
Rogue
"Okay," Rogue said softly. "I... I'm sorry if I woke you up..."
BObby
Bobby smiled.
"Nah, I was just sorta lying here, don't worry about it."
He got up.
"Uh... thanks, by the way."
Rogue
Rogue smiled back.
"No, thank you," she said. "For talking to me."
She stood up to leave.
Bobby
Bobby walked with her to the door.
"No problems."
He left his room and headed down to the medlabs.
"Night Rogue."
Rogue
"Good night, Bobby," Rogue replied.
And she headed back to bed.
Bobby
Bobby walked into the Medlabs and sat by Julie's bed.
"God."
He sighed and took her hand, sitting with her for the rest of the night.
