Isaac
It was early morning when Isaac slipped out the front door. He had left a note on the kitchen bench so his family wouldn't worry.
Hey everyone
I'm going looking for Taylor.
Don't try calling me, I would hate for it to ring at the wrong moment. I'll call you if and when I have news and a chance to communicate it.
I'm tired of just waiting around. I'm sure you guys are too and this is why I have to go.
Love you all
Isaac
He wasn't entirely certain where to start, but as he had previously observed to Natalia, alien hunters were all the same. He would simply bring them to him.
All he needed to do was make a target of himself.
Ash G
Ashley shut the door of his car, after parking out front of the Hanson home. Looking up, he saw Isaac leaving.
"Hey, Ike!" he called, getting his attention.
"Where are you off to?"
Isaac
Isaac spotted Ash. Great. He had been hoping to get away clean.
"Hey..." Isaac replied slowly. "I'm going on... a trip of indefinite length. I'm going after Taylor, and don't you dare try to talk me out of it. I'm sick of sitting on my hands."
Ash G
Ashley raised his hands in surrender and shook his head.
"Hey man, I didn't stop you last time. Ok, so I didn't see you last time..."
He put his arms down.
"I mean heck, we've lost Taylor. Why not lose our guitarist too?"
Isaac
Isaac gave a sigh of relief.
"Well, Zac'll be happy," he joked. "He can go solo and have all the girls to himself. Wait..."
Ash G
"That's not a good thing," Ashley chuckled, wagging his finger at his friend.
"I was coming to organize something for my birthday, but seeing has you have more important things to do... it can wait. Need any help man?"
Isaac
"Hmm... sure if you want," Isaac replied. "C'mon, I want to get away from home before they come after them too. See..."
Isaac then went on to explain how he had put in his plan to make himself a target.

"Should we take him down now, sir?" A soldier asked his commanding officeer respectfully.
"Well, it doesn't look like the other man is going anytime soon. Try and take them both."
"Yes sir!"
A sniper nodded as he recieved his orders and shot a dart of tranquilsers at Ike.
Isaac
Isaac caught the dart, but didn't drop it. Instead he emptied it just before he let it hit him.
"Tranks," Isaac warned, dropping down as if the drug was doing its work.

Another muffled crack of the rifle, and the sniper sursed as Ash move just before it hit. "A miss, sir," he reported.
"No matter, we'll go in now." The commmanding officer picked up another radio set. "Alpha team, move in now."
Ash G
"Holy..." Ash cut himself off, not sure of what to do.
He knew Isaac was faking it, so that they'd take him. But there was no way he was going in.
As he spun around, he suddenly saw the soldiers advancing. He kenw the only way to duck the darts was to use his power, so...

"Roger that, sir," one of the soldiers spoke briefly into his mouthpiece. "Moving in. Set up a cordon."
"Roger."
The soldiers moved in cautiously.
"What recon do we have?"
"One on the grounds a telekinetic, no info on the other one."
Ash G
Ashley smiled slightly, even though knowing he wasn't out of danger.
This could be interesting.
"Good luck man," Ashley looked down at Ike for a moment.
He shook his arms out, making them wobble like rubber, then stretched them and began to shift into a sparrow.
Written by Tegan
"What the *hell* is going on there?" The commanding officer barked into the handset. "Get the kinetic and forget the other one. We don't have the facilites to deal with it."
"Yes, sir!" The soldiers raised their rifles and the the safeties clicked off.
Ash G
Ashley soared upward, and flew in small circles, watching what was happening to his friend.
Once they advanced on Isaac, he flew off to find a spot to return to normal.
'Good luck man. You're gonna need it.'

Two of the soldiers bent and picked Isaac up. "He's heavy," one of them remarked.
"Never mind about that, let's get off the streets."
Isaac
"Found how pretending to be unconscious takes so much effort," Isaac mused.
He concentrated on keeping his breathing regular and making sure he didn't tense any of his muscles. That would have been a real giveaway.

The soldiers hefted Ike into the van and onto a hospital stretcher. "So, how's Claire?"
"Claire? Where have you been? It's Lexie this week." The soldier chuckled. "And whoo, she has this thing she does with her hips..."
"Show off." They tied Ike's hands and feet to the corners of the bed, then wrapped a blindfold round his eyes. "She have a friend?"
The engine of the van started.
Isaac
"Rats," Isaac thought. "Now I can't see where we're going. Oh well, I suppose I should have expected it. They do know I'm a telekinetic.
He settled for listening instead. Maybe that would give him a clue.

"I can ask. When's your next leave?" The first one asked.
"Oh god, who the hell knows anymore? Bloody Blakesley..."
"Careful what you say, or you know what'll happen."
"Christ almighty." The soldier leant back and studied his hands. "This is getting so screwed up..."
"Yeah, you get that. But we aren't here to ask questions."
"Yes sir, no sir, three bloody bags full sir, and where would you like your Hostile of the day?" The soldier spat in disgust. "This isn't what I signed up for."
"Who the hell did? Shut up and soldier, soldier." His comrade's tone wasn't as hard as the words would make it appear, rather just full of a bitter resignation and a sense of fellowship. "Ask for some leave, or a transfer if you can't hack it."
"Christ, you know I would if I could, but the pay..."
"Ah, yes. The pay." They shared a grin. "Didja hear bout what happened back in the Houston facility?"
"No..."
"They brought in another telekinetic. Something supposed to be special bout him. Course, Blakesley then tried to screw over the hunter who brought him in." They chuckled briefly. "The two of them tore that place apart. Her with her shotgun and him with his powers. Killed a whole bunch of grunts like us."
"So, aren't they worried this one will do the same?"
"Nah, they got leverage."
"Oh, and what's gonna stop him?"
"His brother. And he's supposed to have some connection to the girl."
"Which one?"
"Natalia. The mutant?"
"Purple eyes and that sweet mouth with that *fantastic* body? Who could forget her? Damn, but she's fine." They laughed again. "Seriously though, how the hell do the doctors think they're gonna keep him under control?"
"They'll have their ways...which base are we headed to, anyway?"
"Wherever they have the brother. I ain't too sure which one it is."
"Well, it won't be Nevada, Quantico or Houston. They're all banged up."
"Or New York either. Mutants tore that one straight up to hell."
"I heard they brough someone else in..."
"Yeah, some goddamned Scottish bastard. Real big on the protecting of the slut."
"Bet that went down well."
"Way I hear it, the alien tried to stop him from doing it. But the red haired idiot broke a soldier's nose, damn near killed another..."
"Well, I say good for him. Really. He's human."
"Which I hope to *god* you don't say to anyone but me. You're human too."
"And what the hell is with that? Huh?"
"Don't ask no questions, and you'll get no lies. Blakesley's...very thrifty. You know what happened to the Scot?"
"Heard something..."
"He's a f*cking werewolf now. Blakesley wanted to watch the evolution. Blew that Jase's brains out right after too."
"The hell you say!"
"Yep. Bye bye, wolfie. Blakesley had all he wanted...and no point feeding a wolf when you just made another one."
"Damn. He was a nice kid. Good poker player."
"Yeah, you get that..."
A silence fell over the inside of the van for a few moments as it kept driving.
"Got a smoke?"
"Yeah." A crackle of a lighter and the soldier leant back with a lit cigarette. "You know..."
"Just don't start. You always seem to get so f*cking philosophical every time we do this..." He lit one for himself.
Isaac
"Calm down," Isaac told himself. "Okay they're planning on using Tay against you - you knew that was a possibility. It's always done in the movies, after all. And these jerks have probbaly had a go at poor Natalia. And they've done something to that reporter. Turned him into a werewolf? Stranger things have happened. Just don't let yourself tense. They'll notice! And then they'll sedate you for sure. Calm down!"
A horrible thought occured to him. What if the trank was due to wear off before they reach their destination? Wait! When was it supposed to wear off?
The things you think of when it's too late!
"Just listen, Ike. It's all you can do."
Written by Tegan
"Hey, where are we going?" The soldier banged on the glass plate between the back of the van and the front.
"Conneticut," the driver answered.
"Oh, it's gonna be f*cking freezing down there..."
Isaac
"Conneticut," Isaac thought. "Who did I know that - that's right. Hunter came from there. Ahh, probably a good thing. Can't get picked up then. Wonder if they've picked up anyone from the anti-YIRAAS community there? Now that could be interesting..."

The van pulled to a halt and the soldiers manoveured the bed out. "Let's go then."
They moved Ike into a small plane, which soon took off.
"So..."
"Yeah, we get rid of this one, then we got leave, apparently."
"And thank Christ for that. I really don't wanna be there when he wakes up."
"Yeah..."
Isaac
Isaac fought to keep himself from smiling. If only they knew!
Written by Tegan
There was only the sound of the plane's engine thrumming as it flew to their destination.
"So. You owe me a drink."
"I what? Since when?"
"I bet you that we'd take under an hour to capture this one. Since we didn't, you owe me a drink."
"Fine."
"Good, cause I have a lack of cash flow at the moment."
"She has expensive taste then?"
"Like you wouldn't believe. But she's pretty, intelligent for more then a few minutes conversation, and she's great inb bed. What's not to like?"
"Eh. You sound almost serious about her."
"And what if I am?"
"What does she think about...this?"
"What this? There is no this, not according to the records of the US government."
"Very good point."
"We'll be there soon."
"Good."
Isaac
Well, now that was interesting.
"What? You expected the government to keep records on alien experimentation? Well - not offcial records."
Isaac wondered - and not for the first time - just how far all this spread.
Written by Tegan
The plane bumped slightlym and one of the soldiers fell out of his seat.
"Watch it, you jackass!" He got up to check Ike's bindings. "Better give him another shot, it'll wear off soon if this weather delays us anymore..."
"Nah, nah, we're there. Let Blakesley deal with it."
"Oh Christ yeah. He gives me the creeps."
"Oh, I know what you mean. Didja ever see him work?"
"Only once, and that will stay with me forever." The soldier shuddered. "He *flayed* some poor bastard alive."
"He's seriously f*cked in the head."
"And he gets paid thousands more then we do. Go figure."
The plane landed.
"Let's go then."
They wheeled the bed out of the plane and it was placed in another truck.
"Have fun, ET."
"And good luck. God knows you're gonna need it." The doors slammed closed, leaving Ike alone as the truck drove down to the base.
Isaac
Isaac waited. Nothing else for him to do. The truck ride was a bit rough though, lots of bouncing going on, but he used his telekinesis to steady himself. Before long the truck stopped and he was being wheeled out.
Natalia and Ewan
Blakesley strode into the room with Natalia, Ewan and Taylor. He grinned at Taylor, who was sitting on the floor staring into space. "I have a surprise for you."
Ewan snarled deep in his throat and lunged for the scientist, eyes dilating into black. "I'm gonna kill ye!" The silver chains holding him to the wall held him fast.
"Oh, the light..." Natalia put her hands over her eyes.
"Your brother has recently decided to join our hospitality. Isn't that pleasent?"
Ike was being wheeled into the cell next door and chained to the wall as Blakesley spoke.
Taylor
Taylor didn't move for a while, hugging his knees to his chest.
Once he finally registered what Blakesley had said, he looked up at the doctor, startled.
"Wh... what?"
Blakesley
"I said, your brother has recently decided to join us here in this facillity." Blakesley strode over to the switch for the one way mirror and flipped it.
Ike was chained to the wall across from it, blindfolded and hands above his head.
Taylor
Taylor's head shot to the mirror with a gulp.
His eyes widened.
"I... Ike?" he stuttered in barely a whisper.
Ignoring that something could happen if he moved without being allowed, he crawled over to the window and placed the palm of his raight hand against the glass. He stared for a moment, before shaking his head.
"No... Ike, no..." he whimpered.
Ewan and Natalia
Ewan stared with stony eyes.
Natalia started to whimper, and Blakesley kicked her absently.
That brought a snarl and teeth snapping from Ewan.
"Yes, I told you that sooner or later, we would have them." Blakesley smiled coldly. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a new guest to attend to..."
He started towards the door.
Taylor
Taylor sat back, hand still against the glass as he stared at Isaac.
"Please..." he began with a shaky voice.
"Please don't hurt him."
Blakesley
"Think about what you just asked me, then think about what you know about me." Blakesley crossed the room to squat next to Taylor. "What do you really think I'm going to do?"
Taylor
Taylor flinched away from him, tears filling his eyes again as he glanced back at his brother.
He remembered full well when Blakesley had said he didn't need either Isaac or Zac alive.
"Please... don't..." he shook his head, "he didn't..."
He gulped.
"He hasn't done anything."
Natalia
"No. He hasn't. But I'm sure he will." Blakesley smiled and stood again.
"No, leave him be!" Natalia cried out. "Leave him alone, the knight protector. He doesn't, he doesn't..."
"Be quiet, Natalia." Blakesley's voice cracked like a whip, and she shut up, shoulders shaking as she wept silently.
Taylor
"He won't do anything if you don't hurt him," Taylor's voice shook.
He was honestly confused. Isaac could get out of this so easily, he knew. Aside from using his power when he was blindfolded, he still had atom manipulation...
Taylor rubbed his eyes, but kept them on his brother.
Ewan
"But there's that thing again. I happen to like hurting people. A lot." Blakesley walked over to the door.
Ewan growled.
"And someone really should muzzle that dog."
"Bite me."
"I don't think so." Blakesley left the room and entered the room with Ike in it. "Hello, Mr Hanson. I'm well aware that you're awake, so you don't need to play dead."
Isaac
When Isaac heard the people who chained him up leave the room, he loosened them. He like the idea of having feeling in his limbs.
Then he went back to waiting until, finally, someone entered the room.
"Hello, Mr Hanson. I'm well aware that you're awake, so you don't need to play dead."
"That's good," Isaac replied, smoothly. "Because these chains are rather uncomfortable."
And Isaac promply undid them the rest of the way.
Blakesley
Blakesley massaged the beidge of his nose lightly with his fingers. Why did no one listen to him? He'd told them that having a live telekinetic was a bad idea, but no. He sighed briefly. "Mr Hanson, while you may have your powers of atom manipulation. your brother most assuredly does not. If you wish him to stay mostly in one piece, I would suggest not trying my patience further."
Isaac
Isaac smiled and lifted the blindfold.
"Better idea. Anything you do to Taylor, gets does to you. Tenfold. Now, how about you and I go on a little tour of this hellhole? I have a mind to see the sights."
Natalia and Ewan
"How about...no?" Blakesley smiled back nastily. "You seem to think that you have power here."
He made a signal with his hand.
Natalia flinched back into the wall and then screamed as a hand slapped her across the face. "Oh no, please no!"
The sound came clearly through the speakers.
"Leave her the hell alone!" Ewan shouted with desperation. "You SICK cowardly- unggghhh!"
Taylor
Taylor fell backwards as the soldiers hit Natalia, cowering against the glass so he could still see his brother.
"Ike, no..." he whispered, so no one could hear.
"Wait... please..."
Isaac
Isaac's face turned stone cold.
"You knew they'd threaten you in someway Ike," he reminded himself. "You knew this was not going to be a walk in the park."
"I see," he said, forcing himself to be calm. "You want to do it the hard way. I can play that game too. Oh, and on a side note, I have a fun little grip on your heart and lungs. It's a trick I taught myself to do after my fiance was murdered in front of me. Basically instead of putting telekinetic pressure on them, like we usually do, it's keeping it off. Suffice to say, I fall unconscious for any reason, you die."
While he was saying this, he noticed the mirror.
"Y'know," he mused. "In the movies, if there's a mirror in the cell, it's a two way. Did you also know, the side with the brightest lights is the mirror. But I don't think I need to kill the lights to see who's on the other side."
Isaac shattered the mirror, taking care the pieces didn't fly anywhere. He wasn't interested in hurting anyone.
Taylor
Taylor cried out and sprang backwards as the window shattered. He knew his brother would have heard that, but his first thought was that he'd have to pay for anything that happened.
He scrambled backwards further until he felt soldiers' hands on his shoulders.
Isaac
Isaac's eyes widened as he saw the scene before them. Taylor, Natalia and Ewan all obviously injured. Natalia naked. Taylor with one of those collars, Nat seemed so obsessed with wearin and Ewan chained.
He glared at the soliders.
"Get away from them!" He exploded.
He grabbed hold of them and threw them up against the wall. He also flung Blakesley against the wall and pinned them all there. Then he unlocked Ewan.
"Are you guys okay?" Isaac asked worriedly, his burst of anger gone. "Okay that's a stupid question. Better question, do you need medical attention or anything?"
Taylor
"Oh man..." Taylor moaned as he shook his head, his eyes refusing to look in Blakesley's direction.
He knew what he'd see.
"Ike... Ike you shouldn't be here, you shouldn't..." his voice shook.
Isaac
"I know," Isaac replied gently. "And neither should you."
What had these people done to them? What had they done to Taylor to make him so scared? Unfeeling, xenophobic murders!
Taylor
"Ike you're gonna get yourself killed," Taylor cringed, tears forming in his eyes again.
"Please... don't... get out of here while you can."
Isaac
Isaac shrugged.
"I die, he dies," he replied. "One less unfeeling, xenophobic murderer in the world. I ain't going unless I can take you with me Tay. And while I'm at it, I'm going to make it very, very difficult for these guys to start again."
He glared at Blakesley.
"That's a promise. Not a threat."
Taylor
"This isn't their only base Ike..."
Taylor ran his fingers through his hair, then put his head in his hands.
"I can't... I can't do this," he whimpered, "it's just going to make everything worse! I don't need more people dying trying to get me out of here when I'm only going to end up back again. I'm an easy target."
Isaac
Isaac stared.
"What have they done to you?" he asked quietly. "To make you despair so much..."
He shook his head in grief.
Ewan and Natalia
"They buried us alive, that's what," Ewan said quietly as his hands soothed the whimpering Natalia. "They've blinded Nat."
"Oh, oh, he shouldn't! Oh, oh god!" Natalia clung to Ewan, whimpering. He hissed slightly as the silver on her collar stung his skin. "Master Blakesley will be so angry..."
"And she's so very, very right," Blakesley hissed. Natalia cowered into Ewan and wept.
Ewan detached himself from Natalia and glared at Blakesley, and then he *snarled* like a rabid dog. The soldiers cocked their rifles, and Ewan swung around as his pupils dilated and his hands became a bit pawlike, fingernails and canines lengthening.
"Ye think I have absolutely no idea what ye've done to me? And guess what, lads? I know ye don't have no silver in those guns. Now, it'll hurt a hell of a lot, but it ain't gonna kill me," Ewan growled out. He raised his head and scented the air, before cocking his head. "And I can smell ye on *my* love. Ye die fer that." He turned to look at Blakesley. "And you're next." His lip curled upwards to show animal like teeth.
Isaac
"None of that," Isaac scolded.
He telekinetically took their rifles away. Then he went his captives looked for keys.
"Good," Isaac smiled, bringing them to him. "I can see that to do tenfold to you would kill you prematurely, Blakesley. I promise, Ewan, you can do whatever you want to Blakesley, but after he's - well, lets just say people have this tendacy to kill the bad guys, and then realise they need them afterwards. Let's just say I have some plans that require Blakesley alive. For now."
Isaac gave Blakesley a knowing smile, then detached him from the wall and herded him to the door.
"Come people," Isaac said. "I'm going to lock our friends in here, while our good friend Blakesley gives us a little tour. I'm sure there are many others who wish to trade places, amongst other things. And don't forget Blakesley, I die, you die. Unless, of course, you manage to survive with crushed heart and lungs."
He started toward the door.
Ewan and Natalia
"So, ye don't care what happens to the soldier boys then?" Ewan asked.
Natalia put her hands over her eyes. "Don't, oh, DON'T! You don't know what you're doing, you don't know, you don't know, you don't know, oh oh oh, god..."
Blakesley dug his heels in. "I really would suggest you listen to your brother and the fair Natalia."
Taylor
Taylor just pulled his knees in to his chest and wrapped his arms around them again, rocking slightly.
Not only was Natalia freaking him out, but his own brother... He had no idea what Blakesley would do to him if this didn't turn out the way he planned.
The way he saw it, he was torn between clinging to his brother, and being crucified.
Natalia
Blakesley turned slightly to look at Taylor. "You think what has happened so far has been painful, perhpas even horrifying? My dear boy..." Blakesley's voice dropped to a hiss, "I've barely even gotten started. And if your brother fails in what he's doing, as he almost certainly will, you do know what will happen. I suggest you convince him to release the hold he has on my body. About five minutes ago would be perfect."
Natalia wailed loudly, rocking back and forth in a foetal position.
"And do shut up, Natalia."
She shut up.
Taylor
"Oh GOD!" Taylor cried, covering his eyes again, tears beginning to spill down his face.
He knew Ike could get out, and he wanted him to. But he knew he wouldn't leave without at least one of them.
Blakesley didn't know Ike, and Ike didn't know Blakesley.
Isaac
Isaac sighed.
"You, shut up," he said to Blakesley, and telekinetically shut his mouth. "Ewan, seeing as Tay and Nat aren't feeling very happy about all this, maybe you'd like to hold down the fort here?"
He tossed Ewan the various keys he had gotten from the guards, but kept the ones from Blakesley.
"I'm going to go wreck some havoc of my own," he said.
Isaac opened the door and pulled Blakesley out with him.
Natalia and Ewan
Ewan grinned nastily at the guards, and they shrank back into the wall. "I really wanted to try out what you've done to me. But then again, you're just doing your jobs, right?" He turned to Natalia and stroked her hair. "You alright, bonny?"
"Oh god, Ewan...he's going to get us all killed."
"Mebbe, mebbe...but mebbe not."
Blakesley followed Ike reluctantly, mind already wokeing on how to turn this to his advantage. But how? How could he make this idiot let go of him, and then get rid of him? Maybe if...
If looks could kill, Ike would be supremely dead.
Isaac
Isaac knew this was where the real danger was. He was reasonably sure he could hold off most of an attack. Maybe he should free Blakesley's mouth - he may be useful to ward off an attack. On the other hand, 1, he might not care or 2, the soldiers might not care if Blakesley dies.
One thing was for certain, he had to nutralise the security system first.
He killed cameras as he went along.
Ewan and Natalia
"How are you holding up?" Ewan asked taylor, holding a gun on the soldiers. "I know this can't be good for either of you..." He kissed Natalia's forehead briefly.
Blakesley fumed as he walked after Ike.
"FREEZE!" A voice ordered and the clicking of weapons followed this statement. "Get DOWN on the floor, alien!"
Taylor
Taylor turned his red, tear-stained eyes on Ewan for a moment, then gulped as he hid his face again.
"It's... it's like a nightmare," he said finally, his voice cracking, "a neverending one. Ike doesn't know what he's doing."
Isaac
Isaac sighed, and lifted the guns from their hands without even looking at them.
"You kill me, you kill your boss," Isaac replied in a bored tone. "If I die, I'm taking him down with me. Rid the world of one - ooooh..."
An idea popped into his head and he took hold of the solider's lungs and hearts as well.
"And now," he smiled. "I go unconsious for any reason, you guys all die too. Don't believe me? Try it! I'm sure you're just doing your job and all, but your job involves threatening the lives of my friends and family, and I won't abide by it. Now, I'd suggest you take me to your secruity office. Or we'll see just what damage a telekinetic can do."
Ewan
Blakesley beat his head against his hand softly. Why oh why for the love of god was he surrounded with such idiots?
"It'll end." Ewan rubbed his hand over Natalia's shoulder. "Course, you'll just be leaving with memories." He barked a laugh. "I'm a werewolf...and isn't that a turn up for the books? God..."
Isaac
On the way to the security office (and Isaac made sure some of the soliders entered first) he dropped some of the locks he had on them. No need to tire himself out, and besides, they wouldn't know any difference. Heck, he could have been bluffing the whole time and once this was over they may never know either way for all they knew.
"Very good," Isaac nodded.
He looked around at the people inside the office, and held up his hands in a peace gesture.
"No need to worry, I'm not here to hurt anyone," he said, then as an afterthought, "except maybe Blakesley - but I think I'll let his victims have that privlage when I'm done. Now please, would everyone kindly move into that back office over there please? Unless of course one or two of you would like to help me in my rescue mission?"
Blakesley
Blakesley kept a bored look on his face as the group of scientists and soldiers moved into the back room. Fools. Weak, pitiful fools.
"Why isn't he..." A woman whispered to one of the soldiers, her face white.
"Hurting us? No idea. They usually have no problem with that, noooo problem at all." The soldier's face was grim. "Makes you wonder what he has planned."
"Oh, oh god..."
Isaac
Isaac sighed.
"No one wants to help? Okay. Well, like I said, in the back office you go. Except Blakesley. He's going to stay with me so I can keep an eye on the sadistic fellow. Please don't do anything stupid like trying to escape. You won't get far."
He gave them all a telepathic shove towards the back office and then sat at the nearest console. He mad sure that Blakesley did not have a view of what he was doing.
"Times like this you want a technokinetic, He thought.
Blakesley
Blakesley tapped his fingers against a cabinet. Let's see...what did he have in his pockets? Syringe. Scalpel. Wallet. Well, the first two could be useful...
A soldier eyed the back room they were ushered in to. "Private, you think you could fit through the vent?"
The small man nodded.
"Give you a hand up then." Silently, the soldiers got to work.
Isaac
Isaac did something he hoped was killing the security system. Then he destroyed the computers. By the looks of thing, the computer server was in another room, which suited his purpose. That meant he could still get on the network, and hopefully to the information he was after.
"C'mon you," Isaac said to Blakesley.
He picked him up telepathically and then paused... it was quiet. Too quiet. He walked over to the back office.
"Would one of you folks kindly come with me?" he asked. "I think I would like a hostage no one wants to see the death of."
He focused on one of the women.
"It seems so cowardly," he said, taking a hold of her, "but I'm only thinking of my safety here."
He pulled her out of the room and then locked the door. He knew sooner or later they'd break free, but he took the liberty of taking their weapons. He also checked their boots for conceled weapons.
Then he destroyed them.
And all the others he found in the security office.
Then he, Blakesley and the woman left. Next stop, Blakesley's office.
Ewan
Blakesley gritted his teeth.
Suddenly sirens and lights started to flash as the soldier reported what was happening to his superiors.
Oh great. Just announce the fact that you're worried to the alien. Idiots.
Ewan eyed the soldiers in the cell carefully. He didn't trust them at all. When one of them lunged at him and Natalia, he came out of his relaxed pose and sheared his teeth through the man's neck in a reflexive action. The Scot looked faintly surprised as the man collapsed at his feet, blood pooling on the ground. "Well...nae that I wasn't planning on doing." He licked his fingers as he stared at the remaining soldiers, blood painting his face. "Shows how close the wolf is to the surface, don't it?"
Isaac
"Okay, change of plan," Isaac said.
He headed back to the cell where Taylor, Ewan and Natalia were.
Natalia and Ewan
"Christ..." One of the soldiers whispered, staring in horror at the body that had been his friend.
Ewan's eyes glowed. "Tasted good, actually." He raised his head slightly, breathing in their fear. It smelt fantastic. But the silver was blunting everything. He kicked the metal further away from him.
Blakesley rolled his eyes, one hand fingering the syringe in his pocket. He just needed a chance...
The woman was crying softly in terror.
Natalia whimpered, rocking slightly. "So bad...so very, very bad..."
Taylor
Taylor had begun to crawl backwards to the nearest wall when Ewan had attacked the soldier. He'd finally made it there, and huddled in on himself, eyes fearful and watching for what would happen next.
He gulped when he saw his brother and Blakesley returning.
Isaac
"Okay," Isaac said. "I had hoped to down the security system. Probably a backup system. Either that or I completely suck at using the computer."
He chuckled a little, and then turned his attention to all the hostages. Then he telekinetically blocked their ears so they couldn't overhear.
"This is the plan. I still want to get into their computer system. I want to try and find some information on who's at the head of all this, if possible and I'm going to make sure that YIRAAS get it. I don't know how successful they've been in such matters in the past, but in any case I'm sure they would like up to date information, if we can get it. We need to contain these people. I have no idea how big their security force is."
Isaac looked at the bodies and chewed his lip.
"I, personally, perfer not to kill. But I haven't been through what you guys have. Just... can I get you to help contain them, Ewan? Whatever you think is appropriate. We should probably free the other prisoners, but I'd rather get security and everything contained before we let them loose. No need to cause excess chaos."
Ewan and Natalia
Ewan lifted his lip slightly. "If I smell Natalia on any of them, you won't be able to hold me back."
With that out of the way, he started to strip one of the corpses so Natalia could put some clothes on. He shook his head slightly and managed to overcome the urge to feed. They were his prey, and he should eat them...but he couldn't while the others were watching. And he wasn't that deep into the wolf yet.
"Here, bonny." He dressed Natalia carefully in the overlarge clothes, but it was better then nothing. "They'll be scared of me, if nothing else. I'm a monster now. Werewolf..." He shook his head slightly. "Something out of a horror movie."
"Shh, shh..." Natalia petted at his face, and the pupils focused. He dropped out of the near wolf state and sighed.
"Sorry, love."
"I know, I know..."
Isaac
Isaac nodded.
"That's fair enough," he replied. "But we should get started before these guys get organised.
Isaac paused, then walked over to Taylor. He lifted his hair and went for the clasp on the collar.
"I hate seeing this on you, man," he said. "You are not someone's domesticated little dog."
He pulled the collar off and was about to throw it on the floor, when he got a better idea.
He put it on Blakesley.
Ewan and Natalia
Blakesley stared coldly at Isaac. Let them escape for now...when he got Taylor back, the boy would pay, and pay, and pay...
He turned his furious deadly cold eyes on Taylor and stared.
Ewan snickered. "Weel, that's jist great. He's mad nae....he wasn't so much before, but nae he's *really* pissed."
"Oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god..." Natalia whispered. "Oh no no no no no no no..."
Taylor
Taylor had frozen when Isaac had taken the collar.
As soon as he saw the look he was getting from Blakesley, he shrank back even further. Oh man was he in for it...
Maybe leaving while he could wasn't such a bad idea after all.
Isaac
Isaac used his powers to get the chains from the walls and then locked Blakesley limbs together.
"Maybe not tenfold," he said. "But, one, I don't trust you, and two, you deserve at least this much. What goes around, comes around, right?"
He made sure that Blakesley didn't have any decent movement, and then lifted him telekinetically. He would have to carry him everywhere now.
"We ready?" Isaac asked. "We need to get this show on the road."
Ewan and Natalia
"This place stinks of death and despair..." Ewan shook his head slightly, like a dog. "Let's leave."
He got Natalia to her feet.
"C'mon, bonny..."
"Oh, I can't, can't leave, can't I can't, I can't..." Natalia was working herself up into a hysterical fit.
Taylor
Taylor turned his head away so he didn't have to look at Blakesley, and leant against the wall as he finally stood.
"I want to get out of here," he said softly, looking up at his brother desperately.
Isaac
Isaac took Taylor's arm.
"Come on," he said.
Isaac lead them out of the cell, and locked the soliders in.
"Let's split up," Isaac said. "I'm headed for Blakesley's office - I'll detain whoever I come across on the way."
Ewan and Natalia
"I just want out," Ewan said softly. "God, you have no idea how much it *stinks* down here." His nostrils twitched. "I can find my way out. I'll take Nat."
"I can't oh god, can't leave. He's going to be so angry and the screams will never ever end," Natalia moaned. Ewan hugged her to his side.
"Don' worry, Bonny. You're never coming back."
"That's what he said," Natalia whispered, nodding at Taylor. "But he lied, he lied..."
Taylor
"Ike no!" Taylor exclaimed, grabbing hold of his brother's arm.
"Please... don't leave me. Don't leave me here. They'll... they'll..."
Isaac
"Tay, Tay, calm down," Isaac said. "I'm not leaving you here. Came all this way to get you, not planning on leaving you behind. See you guys later. Planning on making a quick stop to Houston if you're interested."
He started down the hallway, holding Taylor's arm on one hand, the woman's in the other and Blakesley floating in the air behind them.
Ewan and Natalia
Ewan lifted his head and scented the air. He took Natalia's hand.
"C'mon, bonny."
They started towards the surface, Natalia's breath coming in quick pants of terror.
Ewan had to kill some soldiers along the way, snapping their necks with his bare hands and ripping out their throats with his teeth.
They got to the surface and Ewan turned slightly, breathing in the cleaner air. "Well. We wait for them then."
Blakesley was fuming.
Taylor
Taylor gulped.
"Houston?" he stuttered.
"Ike... what are you doing?"
Isaac
Isaac was about to reply when some more soliders appeared. Not feeling partularily kindly at the moment, he simply destoryed their weapons, pushed and locked them into the nearest cell - after letting the occupant out of course. An elf.
"Thank you," the elf said. "If you are... ever in... need of... some service... you can... count on me. I am... Raimi."
"It's no problem," Isaac replied solomnly. "You should get out while you can. I don't know how many guards there ae about, but I plan on going through when I'm done and releasing everyone."
"I can... do that... if you want... Just please... remove... the... collar first... Has been... fitted so... that I... cannot use... my magic..."
Isaac nodded and took the collar off. The elf seemed to breathe easier then.
"Thank you again."
They then parted ways, and Isaac soon found Blakesley's office.
"This is what I'm doing Tay. Every time we break you guys out, these guys just start up again. or, as you say, they already have bases all over the place. Well, I'm not prepared to rescue you, only to have you - or someone else - abducted again. The only way we're going to take this place down is by going to the top."
Isaac sat down at the computer. He tried a few things and then shook his head.
"I need a password," and he looked over at Blakesley. "I don't suppose you'd like to give it to me?"
He released Blakesley's mouth.
Blakesley
"Cognitas," Blakesley said. That would start showing the security videos...the reaction should be priceless.
Isaac
Isaac eyed Blakesley suspiciously.
"Okay... that was too easy..." he said. "The last thing I expected from you was a straight answer. You got something boobytrapped?"
He was quiet for a moment, considering.
"Different idea. I'm gonna disconnect the computer. And I'm going to take it and the server with me," Isaac decided. "I bet the server room is around here somewhere."
He turned off the machine and disconnected all the plugs, then picked up the tower and started out.
Blakesley
Blakesley rolled his eyes. "Aliens. You give them a straight answer..."
Isaac
"Sadistic, xenophobic scientists who are a few french fires short of a happy meal," Isaac replied. "You don't trust them, especially when they give you a straight answer..."
Then he looked at the woman.
"You're being awfully quiet. I didn't clam your mouth shut y'know..."
She chewed her bottom lip nervously and backed off a little.
"Gee, anyone would think I was gonna hurt you," Isaac sighed. "I have a far more sophistocated palate than that, miss. C'mon Tay, we have a server to abduct."
He led them all out the door and went looking for the server.
Taylor
Taylor knew his brother could feel him shaking, his grip on his arm was firm enough.
"Ike..." he began eventually.
"Can we just leave him somewhere? Or kill him now? Please? I can't... I can't stand it."
Isaac
Isaac looked at Taylor and nodded.
"Okay," he said. "We don't need him any more."
He put Blakesley down on the floor. He hated the idea of killing him in cold blood, but maybe is he left him here a prisoner would kill him on their way out.
"Let's go," Isaac said.
And he continued looking for the room they kept the server in. Fortunately, it didn't take much longer. Isaac disconnected it and carried it, and well as Blakesleys computer (and some disks and CDs he had noticed in the office) telepathically behind them. Then they headed for the exit.
"There's Ewan and Nat," Isaac pointed. "Well, miss, it's been nice knowing you, but we have to go now. I hope if we ever meet again you have a job is a far more honourable business."
And he sent her on her way.
Ewan
Blakesley rolled over and got to his feet. Fine. He would get this place under control, and then...and then he would see what he could do. He would begin. He went to find some soldiers.
Ewan petted Natalia, crooning to her in Gaelic. He looked at Taylor and Ike. "Ken I trouble ye for a ride back to civilisation, at the verra least?"
Taylor
"We have a way to get back, right?" Taylor asked, nervously glancing back at the building.
"I... I... guess you know where we are..."
Isaac
Isaac shrugged.
"Connecticut," he replied. "Come on, we'll swipe one of their trucks and get going. Well have to dump it somewhere, but it should get up somewhere where we can get something else."
And they did just that.
