Dru
Dru was gathering up her kittens things. They were preparing to return to New York, for the school term, at least. Dru wanted to check up on Dawn, she could feel muffled pain in their bond. She also wanted her babies to meet their family. She looked around to see Percy running around naked.
"Perseus! You must wear clothing, especially when we return to the mortal realm," she scoldedf. Grudgingly, he waved his hand, and was suddenly wearing a tunic, his silver hair in a topknot. Dru went to check on her other children, to make sure that they all looked presentable. A little calico kitten was rubbing against her ankle.
"Cassie," she said, smiling. SHe picked her daughter up, and started licking her fur, cleaning her the way her babies loved. "All right, my darling. WE must all be human when we show up at the school." The little girl shifted, into an adorable tot, wearing a simple white dress. It was obvious she'd inherited Dru's looks, and even as a young child, her beauty rivaled Cleopatra's. "Let's round up your brothers," she said, and the two stalked off, being all sneaky and huntress-like. They saw the black and white kitten lying curled up on a cushion. He sneezed, and wrinkled his nose.
"Time to shift, my Hunter," she said gently. Orion shifted, into a little boy with black and white hair, also wearinf a simple tunic, cut in the Roman style. Although he had grown stronger with age, he still tired easily, and was sickly child. Hapi had become his devoted nurse and protector.
"Hmmm," Dru said. "Now where is my little Dragon? Use your noses, little ones, sniff him out." They three sniffed, and then Cassie smiled, pouncing over to where her brother was hiding behind a curtain.
"Here I yam!" he said proudly to his mother. His orange hair was tied back loosely with a green ribbon, that matched his eyes perfectly.
"All right," Dru said, hoisting Orion up on her hip. "Let's find Daddy and Hapi, and then we can hop through a portal, and into my world," she said, happily.
Sabre
Sabre was talking with Osiris, handing over the responsibilty for the Western Bank's protection to him . Then he had to say goodbye to all his relatives. That took a while. Especially with Sakhmet and Pasht, his mother's littermates.
Orion and Draco
"Yay yay yay!" Orion said, from his perch on Dru's hip. "We get to meet Mummy's family!" he said, laying his head on his mother's shoulder. Draco tugged on Sabre's leg.
"Daddy, can I make the portal? I've been practicing!"
Sabre
"Better let your mam do it," Sabre said as he hugged Pasht one more time.
"Be good, dearling ones," the goddess fluted in her high voice.
"And remember what you are," Sakhmet growled in her husky one. "You're Egypt, in all her might and splendour. Tahmeri, the fertile land nurtures you, and don't you dare forget it. Or your magic will dry up and leave you."
"We trust thee to keep them safe," Pasht said to Sabre.
"As I will," Sabre said. "As I will."
Drusilla
"You can say the chant with me, Dragon," Dru acquiesced. SHe kissed her goodbyes to Sabre's family, and then she and Hapi placed the four crystals, oriented east to west, and they held hands, Draco in the middle, Orion still on Dru's hip. They chanted in Ancient Egyptian, and the portal opened, contained by the crystals. With a final goodbye, the family entered the portal, and exited on the lawn of the mansion.
"Feels good to bne home," Dru said.
Sabre
Sabre staggered slightly as all the magick he had been basking in for the last few months or however long it had been in the West Bank, deserted him. "I just left mine, lovely. Let's find out what the date is."
Drusilla and Dawn
"Okay," Dru said, as she twirled around, Orion still on her hip. "Oh, how much I LOVe this world!" she wandered into the foyer of the Mansion, Orion on her hip, and Percy hiding among her skirts.
"Lovey!" she cried when she spied Dawn.
"Dru!" the gril said, happily, as she ran to give her a hug.
"And who are you?" SHe asked Orion, who was currently hiding his face in Dru's shoulder.
"This is my littlest, Orion. We've been in the WEst Bank, so they've grown quickly."
"Hello, Orion, I'm your Auntie Dawn." OPrion grinned at the girl, showing off his fangs. Percy slipped out from Dru's skirts, and pounced on Dawn's feet.
"And who have we here?" she asked the little kitten as se picked him up.
I'm Percy, he told her, as he licked her cheek.
You smell yummy, like magick and chaos. I like it.
"Thank you Percy," Dawn said, kissing him on the forehead and handing him over to Dru. "I've got to get to class," Dawn said.
"ALl right lovey, but first, what is the date?"
"It's September thirtieth. Tomorrow is the first of October." she said, grinning. she kissed Dru on the cheek, and headed off to class.
Sabre
"Ok. We will celebrate All Hallow's day and Samhain. You'll like it, I promise," Sabre told his cubs. "Now...shall we go see what's changed?"
Drusilla
"Mmmm," Dru said, licking the side of Sabre's neck. "Can't that wait?"
Sabre
"Mmmmm. That can always wait," Sabre agreed throatily, leaning his head back slightly to allow her better access. "Later. After. Dammit what the hell am I saying?" His sense of responsibilty and his own curiosity warred with what he knew they should do.
Drusilla
Dru pouted. "Let's stay here the night. PLease, darling? If it's waited a month, it can wait another night. I want to stay here," she pouted.
Sabre
"I don;t think they have the room, Dru lovely," Sabre said huskily. "They have a lot of students at the moment. But we can visit before we go."
Drusilla
Dru put her foot down. "Our room has been waiting for us, lovey. And we will stay through the night."
Sabre
"Fine, lovely, fine." Sabre shook his head. He *really* didn't like having Spike around his Dru. Not at all. Not in the slightest. And he had the feeling that Vortigern didn't like having Drusilla around more then nessacry either. "One night. Then we have to go back and check up on our things."
They all went inside.
