Chrissy walked back up the stairs of her house, looking and feeling tired. She walked through the door to find Madison calmly sitting at the kitchen table, sipping at her coffee.
"Where have you been?" Madison asked, looking up in concern.
"Not like you'd care," Chrissy replied bitingly, then headed for the fridge.
"We didn't mean for this to hurt you, you know," Madison started.
"Oh save it, Madison, I honestly don't care."
"I know you do."
"Oh, what, because you know me so well. The way I know you? Likely. I don't know who you are, I never thought you could do what you did to me."
"And I never thought you could do what you did to me and Ike. So I guess we're both on even ground, aren't we?" Madison shot back.
"Did you think I'd be ok with it?" Chrissy asked, ignoring her.
"Did you think I'd be alright with you ruining my chance of a relationship with Ike?"
"Like I give a shit. You ruined my relationship with Ike."
"Again, we're even."
"I ruined shit."
"You know, all this time, I never knew you were this bitchy."
"Yeah, well here I am. This is me. Deal with it."
"Chrissy... I don't want to fight with you."
"Good, then don't." Chrissy mindlessly cast an illusion of a circle of fire around Madison.
"Chrissy... OW!" Madison tried to walk through the flames, but they were hot. Obviously. She telekinetically threw Chrissy across the room.
Chrissy turned around, eyes blazing. "How dare you!" she screamed. She took the fire away and enclosed Madison in a cage. "You - " she was cut short by Madison throwing her against the wall again.
"Let me out, Chrissy!"
"How about... no." Chrissy stood up, brushing herself off. "And that was rude. Well... how about this..." She blindfolded Madison, then started to leave.
"Chrissy, come back here."
"Or you'll what, rattle your cage at me? Not freaking likely."
"Ike and I didn't mean to - "
"SHUT UP!" Chrissy waved a hand and a crown of thorns appeared on Madison's forehead. "Have a nice day, Maddy."
She skipped out, humming happily to herself, when she realised something. She could kill people with her illusions, and no one would ever realise what they died from.
Well, this opened up a completely new kettle of fish, didn't it?
