23 September 2003 - Another kind of ailment

Michelle and Nessa

Zac

Zac blinked, and then slowly sat up in bed. He glanced at the clock, and discovered it was about ten in the morning.

He was defintely feeling better.

Much better.

He put his feet on the floor and slowly stood up. Damn it felt good to breath normally. And he wasn't so tired any more either.

He noticed an opened bag on the floor - one he had taken on the tour. Diana had obviously taken his clothes to give them a wash, for all that was in the bad were the unwashable kind of baggage. Book, pens, that kind of thing. He frowned, seeing a nptepad he didn't totally recognise, and flipped through the pages.

Zac was right. It wasn't his. It was Isaac's. He was about to put it down when something caught his eye. The title of a song he had written. There was lots of crossing out and rewritten portions of this song, but Zac managed to make sense of it:

I'm falling for a girl
The sweetest girl
The kindest girl
Her smile, her eyes
Just make me fall further
For my girlfriends' friend.

She calls me on the phone
It makes me nervous
So nervous
Her laughter, her voice
I'm scared I'm gonna break
And truth revealed

I'm falling for my girlfriends' friend
I hope she doesn't know
That I'm falling for my girlfriends' friend
I don't know what to do
I hate the ambivilance
It's driving me insane
But I'm falling for my girlfriends' friend
My girlfriends' friend

The wind blowing her hair
About her face
Makes my heart race
Her delight, her touch
Just seeing her makes me
Want her more and more

I'm falling for my girlfriends' friend
I hope she doesn't know
That I'm falling for my girlfriends' friend
I don't know what to do
I hate the ambivilance
It's driving me insane
But I'm falling for my girlfriends' friend
My girlfriends' friend

And tell me, what do I do?
What do I say?
Next time she comes my way
Each time it gets harder
To lock these feelings away

I'm falling for my girlfriends' friend
I hope she doesn't know
That I'm falling for my girlfriends' friend
I don't know what to do
I hate the ambivilance
It's driving me insane
But I'm falling for my girlfriends' friend
My girlfriends' friend

But I'm falling for my girlfriends' friend
My girlfriends' friend
My girlfriends' friend
My girlfriends' friend

Rage flared in Zac's eyes. He knew it! He knew Isaac liked Faith! Oh he tried to deny it, but this was proof!

It was a wonder in his fury that he didn't tear up the pages into pieces, due to Chrissy coming to mind. She deserved to know, Zac felt. After all, Isaac and Faith betrayal affected her too.

He went to the computer, went through the usual routine of turning it on, loggin in, blah, blah, blah and finally connected to the internet and his mail. He typed up the lyrics and sent them off to Chrissy with the following message:

Chrissy

I just thought you'd like to know what I found. I don't know if you know about Isaac and Faith, but they've been seeing each other behind our backs until I found out a couple of weeks ago. Sorry I didn't think to tell you earlier. Anyway, I thought I would share with you this song I found that Isaac wrote. It was in my bag.

Sorry I have to do this, but I felt it was only fair that you knew.

ZAC

That done, Zac sighed and then noticed a piece of paper on the desk. Randy wanted him to give him a call if he was feeling better. Zac picked up his phone and dialed, and while the phone rang, he walked over to Saku's little bed to check up on him. Poor little tyke.

Chrissy

Chrissy was about to sign off when the "You have mail" voice started. She smiled and opened it, thinking it was going to be something from Ike.

Well, it was from a Hanson.

She opened the email and read through it, feeling her heart start to race.

Isaac liked someone else?

Faith?

She re-read the lyrics and that's when it hit her. He didn't like Faith.

He liked Madison.
