Tanya

It was late when Tanya got home. She way yawning as she entered the house.

Maybe she should take up Leroy's offer and move to the space station. Get away from all the stress.

She tried to be as quiet as possible, in case Christian was asleep.

Christian

Christian looked up from the cough in the livingroom where he'd been laying in the dark.

He flipped the nearby lamp on.

"Hey, another late night," he grinned, "might have to start giving you a curfue."

Tanya

Tanya laughed.

"Sorry dad," she joked.

Then she gave him a second look.

"I like the do."

Christian

"Thanks," Christian smiled.

"I swear though. You keep staying out this late you're gonna stress out the baby."

Tanya

Tanya nodded.

"Yeah, I know," she replied. "I need a holiday. But that's the problem with being one of the most powerful people on the planet. Because no one else can do what you can do, there's always a demand for your services. I'd like to give up field duty for good."

She sighed.

"Oh, by the way. Taylor's been abducted again. I swear those Hansons attract trouble."

Christian

"You should give it up. Leave it for that other guy to do."

Then he hesitated as what she just said sunk in.

"Taylor's gone?!" he bolted up, "gone where?! By who?"

Tanya

"Blakesley of course. Who else?" Tanya replied in annoyance. "They've taken the girl... Natalia or something, as well."

She sighed and rubbed her temples.

"Spook, Blakesley, Craig, Guffery, Lucious, Manning... I swear the lot of them are conspiring to make me go insane."

Christian

Christian sneered.

"I warned Blakesley," he began in a low voice as his fists clenched, "I $#!+ing warned him."

He ran his fingers through his hair and looked away.

"This asshole is going way too freaking far. I swear, the next time I catch up with him..."

Tanya

Tanya nodded.

"He is going to be a very dead man. And I hope it's one of his cross breeding experiments. Destroyed by his own work, maybe that'll be a lesson to others."

Christian

"I want to... I want to $#!+ing kill him. But not straight away. I want to make him suffer. Like he made Taylor suffer."

He gulped for a moment, and looked up.

"I wouldn't get in trouble for that, would I?"

Tanya

"Torturous misdeeds are usually overlooked when done to people with death warrants on them," Tanya replied with a small smile.

Christian

"Great!" Christian face lit up, "because I plan to. Oh how much I plan to."

He cracked his knuckles.

"Any leads on where he could be? I feel like going on a hunt."

Tanya

Tanya shook her head.

"None that I know of, I'm afraid."

She yawned.

"I hope you don't mind, I think I want to go to bed."

Christian

"Ok," Christian nodded, his voice softening.

"If I'm not here tomorrow, you know I've gone hunting. I might go back to Tulsa and find Steel. That guy has more contacts than I've ever had."

He rolled his eyes.

"Good night."

Tanya

"Okay," Tanya nodded. "Good luck then, and good night."

She made her way to bed.
