Room69, Amy and Alyssa
Noah drove up to Adam's house, Chris right behind him in his car. They both parked outside, and went into the house, where Adam, Amy and Lys were sitting in the living room.
"Where's my girl?" Noah asked.
"Mine's here," Chris grinned, walking over to Adam.
Adam laughed then realised what he said. "Shut up."
Alyssa grinned and hopped up and hugged Chris. She lifted her bag. "Right, I'm going with you. Duh."
"And we'll drive down together," Adam said, indicating himself and Amy.
"So that's me and AJ. Cool," Noah said, nodding.
AJ
"Not too cool," came AJ's voice as she entered the room.
She grinned at Noah.
"It is... well... it's autumn here now isn't it?" she looked confused.
Noah and Amy
"Yeah," Noah said.
Amy looked confused. "So? It'll be coldish, I guess."
AJ
"Depends on how fast we drive," AJ grinned.
"Just watch out for cops, and we'll be right. We goin'?"
Room69, Amy and Alyssa
Noah nodded and lifted AJ's bags up and they all headed out to the cars, and packed their bags in.
"We'll lead?" Noah said to Adam.
"Yeah!" Adam exclaimed.
"Let's do this!" Chris put in.
Noah hopped in the car, and waited for AJ, while Adam, Amy, Alyssa and Chris hopped into their cars. Once AJ was in the car, Noah backed out of the driveway and they all started the long drive to the beach.
AJ
"Woooooohoo," AJ stretched her back, glancing back at Chris and Adam's cars.
"Wanna lose them halfway or something?" she grinned evilly.
Noah
"They know how to get there," Noah said, grinning.
He glanced at AJ briefly before returning his eyes to the road.
"We'll have to stop somewhere along the way too."
AJ
"Yeah I know," AJ shrugged.
"Maybe we could... sneak away in the middle of the night. And set up camp a few kilometres away. Sorry, 'miles'."
She chuckled.
"Or maybe just rearrange the tents on the night so they wake up with a different view. That could be fun."
Noah
"And why for, Miss AJ?" Noah questioned, raising an eyebrow. "Do you have some sort of plan for us to be alone?"
He grinned.
AJ
AJ sat back and tapped her chin for a moment.
"I just have this habit of wanting to freak people out. And I must say I haven't had much of a chance to do that lately..."
She pouted again.
"I just wanna pull pranks. Maybe at a few towns we pull into if you want."
Noah
Noah rolled his eyes good naturedly.
"If you're too mean you won't get the surprise."
AJ
AJ folded her arms.
"Well I'm not gonna mean to you, does that count?" she looked up with a sad look in her eyes, even though her eyes were giving away a smile.
NOah
Noah shook his head.
"I don't know, I'll think about it."
He reached back for his CD's and put in Reel Big Fish.
AJ
"Oh yeah!" AJ grinned, sitting up and untying her hair.
She began headbanging.
Finally, she threw her hair back and ran her fingers through it.
"You know you love me anyway."
Noah
"Oh I don't know about that," Noah grinned with a sidelong glance at AJ.
"Could've found someone while you were back home," he teased.
AJ
AJ pursed her lips and punched him in the arm.
"You're lucky you're driving or I'd have given ya a dead arm," she grinned.
"Besides, from what I hear from Adam and Lys, you were pining. And not even Bella could get in."
Noah
Noah grinned.
"Yeah, you have me there."
He raised an eyebrow.
"Or do you?"
AJ
AJ ground her teeth for a moment.
"Wanna wait until we're alone on the road before I try to confirm it?" she raised an eyebrow of her own, "I'll admit cars take a bit of strength, but it's nothing I haven't done before."
Then her eyes lit up.
"That's something I could do! Change the gravity of their tents at night!"
She burst out laughing.
"I wouldn't do it to Chris though. I'd have him hating me for all eternity."
Noah
"Then he won't teach you drums anymore."
Noah grinned.
"You know, Adam and Aimz will probably just keep having sexy upside down. I don't think it's gonna affect them too much."
AJ
AJ hesitated thoughtfully.
"If they make too much noise I might have to experiment... 'How many directions can a couple fly in?' or something."
Noah
"Well, I vote we just sleep away from them."
Noah's eyes never left the road as he switched the CD's.
"So, you need food or drinks or anything?"
AJ
AJ considered for a moment.
"Drink would be good. Coke?"
She raised her eyebrows.
Noah
Noah frowned.
"Should be some in the back... the cooler," he said.
He paused.
"Could you get one out for me?"
AJ
"Awww... maybe? If you beg me for it?"
She grinned and pulled her seatbelt off, watching out for cops as she did.
Then she leant over into the back seat and opened the cooler, fetching two bottles.
"Want it now?" she asked, sitting back after replacing the lid on the cooler.
Noah
"Might be nice," Noah replied absently, flipping his indicator on, and turning the corner.
"We could probably stop for dinner soon," he said, noting the fading light.
AJ
AJ raised an eyebrow, noting the tone of his voice.
"Everything alright?" she asked, handing him his bottle of coke after she opened it for him.
NOah
"Everything's lovely, babe," Noah said, turning to give her a smile, then returning his attention to the road.
"Well, actually my butt's starting to get numb, but that's about it."
AJ
AJ grinned.
"I'd take over if I had an american driving license, but you know... I'd probably end up driving on the other side of the road. I swear, it's like a mirror here."
She rolled her eyes.
"I'm hoping I'll get used to it."
Noah
"You will, depending on how long you stay here."
Noah grinned.
"So I'm hoping you'll stay long enough to work it out. Heard from your folks yet?"
AJ
AJ snorted, exaggerating only a little.
"I pruposely left my mobile... I mean, cell... in Oz so they couldn't contact me."
She shrugged.
"I'm guessing your Dad's kinda... been told and is on the lookout."
Noah
"Yeah."
Noah chuckled.
"He got suss about why I was at Adam's all the time, so Made up that I was going out with Lys. He seems to accept that."
AJ
AJ almost choked on her coke, then started laughing.
"And what exactly does Chris think of that? Or doesn't he know?"
Noah
"We said that Chris was heartbroken."
Noah grinned.
"Dad always wants to know why I never invite Lys around and I go to her house instead, and I say it's so we can have band practice as well. I'm a lying machine."
AJ
"Well... just as long as you don't lie to me too much."
AJ reached over and tapped his nose.
She looked back at the two cars following... sort of. Chris was a bit far behind now.
"Speaking of Chris and Lys, thay must be having fun..." she chuckled, "they're... a bit back."
Noah
"Probably stopped for loving. Actually..."
Noah picked up his phone and tossed it to AJ.
"Call Adam and ask where he wants to stop."
AJ
AJ looked through Noah's phone's phone book and found Adam's number.
She called it, and waited until she heard Amy answer.
"Hey guys... where do yas wanna stop?"
Amy and Adam
"Ummmm," Amy turned to Adam. "Where are we stopping?"
"There's a diner type thing... further up this road. They should hit it in about twenty minutes."
Amy relayed the message back to AJ.
AJ
"Okily dokily."
AJ hung up.
"Some diner thingy we're gonna hit in twenty minutes. Adam seems to know his way around," she grinned.
Noah
"Adam's done the drive before. Well, actually we both have."
Noah grinned.
"But let's not go into that."
AJ
AJ smirked a little.
"SHould I be worried? That tone kinda gives the 'you should be worried' feelin', ya know."
Noah
Noah let out a laugh.
"It's kinda a blur. We were drunk the whole time."
AJ
"Drunk?"
AJ sat up slightly.
"So who was driving? If it was either of you I would have loved to have been there if the cops stopped ya."
Noah
Noah grinned.
"We were ok, on the way there, then on the way home, Paige had to come and orb us and the car home."
AJ
AJ laughed.
"And I bet she wasn't too pleased about that. Why did she? Police road block? Or were you just too screwed to make it back?"
She raised an eyebrow.
Noah
"We were too wasted."
Noah grinned.
"But we gave her a present afterwards."
AJ
"And that was...?" AJ began, but hesitated.
"Or shouldn't I ask?"
She chuckled.
Noah
Noah grinned.
"Ok, I gave her a present after."
He turned into the diner and parked, then hopped out of the car.
"Rightio, let's go."
