11 September 2003 - That sickening feeling of deja vu

Tegan and Michelle

Natalia

Blakesley's face had healed...well, mostly healed from the cuts Christina had placed upon him. Feeling the stretchy scar tissue stretch a little, and the dull ache pain of the wounds on his chest. Hurting and vindictive, he had decided to take out his frustrations a little. Ah, there she was. Blakesley moved from his secluded corner and straight across to Natalia.

She had known there was something wrong, something off. The prickly feeling right between her shoulderblades...she'd walked out onto the street, just to catch her breath and then he was there. Blonde hair gleaming and blue eyes pinning her to where she stood like a butterfly trapped by pins. Flutter those wings, butterfly. Her heart skipping and then he was there, right in front of her.

"Natalia."

She just nodded, too afraid to move her feet. Oh god. Someone please come.

"And how have you been?" He cocked his head slightly. "You have my permission to speak. But call out for help..." he trailed off. She could feel the fear settling right down into her bones.

"Ok."

"Good, good. But you know you've been bad...soon, I'll be coming to take you back. You're mine. My...toy, my plaything. My work of living art."

She shuddered convulsively, trapped by training, mesmerized by his voice like a rabbit before the swaying and hissing of the snake. Oh god.

Isaac

"Natalia? Oh there you are," Isaac said, walking over. "It's time to..."

He trailed off, noticing that she looked really scared. And who was that man near her?

"Who are you?" he asked.

Natalia

Blakesley looked at Ike. "Ah, you must be the telekinetic. How...intriguing."

Natalia whimpered slightly.

"Your manners are slipping Natalia. Why don't you introduce us?" Blakesley's eyes gleamed with a private joke.

Eyes glanced wildly around, before dropping to look at the ground. "This is Master Blakesley."

Isaac

Isaac put a hand on Natalia's shoulder in what he hoped was a reassuring manner.

"Really?" he replied drolly, looking at Blakelsey. "I've heard so much about you. All bad things, of course. And what brings you to Indiana?"

Natalia

"A conference," Blakesley said smoothly. "And all bad things? I think I could possibly feel hurt about that..."

Natalia was shaking with fear under Ike's hand. God, please make him leave. Because if he says come, I'll obey.

Isaac

"Better leave," Isaac thought to himself. "Nat's shaking like a leaf and he's a sadistic, unfeeling bastard anyway."

"I find it hard to believe you could be truly hurt by anything people say about you," Isaac replied calmly. "Not caring what other people think - now there's a mixed curse and blessing right there. Have a nice life, Blakelsey. I hope I never see you again. Come on Natalia."

And he started to lead Natalia away.

Natalia

"Natalia and I were talking, Stay, Natalia." Blakesley's voice hit her like a whip, and she immediately stopped, swaying backwards and forwards. "Nevertheless, I think I will see you again. I wonder what would make you break?" He mused. "Natalia could tell you about breaking. And she tries so hard to be a good girl too."

"Good, good, I'll be good." The words jerked out of her, unable to stop the reflex and the shaking got worse. Get me out of here, I can't say no, I'm too broken by him to say no to whatever he wants.

Isaac

"Okay, this is going to be slightly harder than I thought."

"What would make me break? An interesting question," Isaac replied coldly. "But I've dealt with alien hunters before. Of all kinds. Each one has their own little thing, and you're no different. Understand this, Blakesley. Family is very important to me, and as far as I'm concerned, Nat is family. Touch anyone of us ever again, and I'll make sure you never touch again."

Isaac grabbed Natalia telekinetically. She was obviously still under Blakesley control psychologically, so she wouldn't move on her own. Isaac made it look like Natalia was moving normally, though, by telekinetically moving her legs in a walking motion.

Natalia

"Walk away from me, Natalia, and it will be worse when you're back," Blakesley warned in a sliky voice. "Perhaps...there is a video you might be interested in seeing. Taylor sat there and watched her be tortured when a word from him could have seen me stop. I think that would make you break. Watching your 'family' hurt and not being able to do a damn thing to stop it. It's what made Natalia break. That, and the repeated rapes from the soldiers of the base. Never my style, of course, but the mental effects from rape are quite useful at times..."

Natalia's breath rasped through her throat and she whined slightly.

Isaac

Isaac turned his head to look at Blakesley.

"You said it yourself. I'm a telekinetic. Nat's not the one walking. And you'll excuse me if I don't believe what you say about Taylor. You see, I don't know the circumstances, and for all I know you're leaving out some important detail - if it's even true at all. Now please, rack off before I do something you'll regret. Like crushing one of your lungs."

Natalia

Blakesley nodded slightly. "Deaththreats once again...you all seem so fond of them, yet somehow, I'm still alive. I'll be seeing you again, Natalia. Such a pleasure talking to you once again. Just remember...you are mine, and there is nothing that can change that fact." Blakesley turned and walked away.

"Oh god..." If Ike hadn't been holding her up, Natalia would have fallen.

Isaac

"I'm sorry," Isaac called after him. "Did you think that was a deaththreat? It is possible to live with only one lung you know."

He shook his head and looked at Natalia sadly.

"Maybe I should have killed him," he said quietly. "But I can't bear the idea of killing in cold blood. Not with two men's lives already on my hands. Does that... do you... nevermind."

He turned away and started towards the bus.

Natalia

Blakesley kept walking, then opened the door of the car and got in. "Airport," he told his chaffeur, then leaned back into the seats. Well, that had been fun...no blood, but mindgames could be just as fun.

"He's never going to forget I exist..." Natalia whispered in horror. "He's not going to just let me go." Her hand pressed down on the collar, feeling the blood well out of the cuts she had sliced so carefully and the sting of the pain. She walked over to the bus on shaky legs. "Thank you...I can't, I can't think when he's around."

Isaac

"You're welcome, Nat," Isaac replied. "Always happy to help. Don't worry about Blakesley. We're not going to let him get you again. You're safe with us."

Isaac spotted the car Blakesley had gotten in. One thing was for certain, he was not going to give the guy any helping hands.

All four tires blew.

He smiled a little to himself as he followed Natalia onto the bus.

Natalia

Blakesley sighed, and then let his head thump once again the backrest as the man who was meant to drive his car got out to change the tires. Damn aliens. He couldn't wait to have his hands on that one.

Natalia smiled slightly as the tires blew. "He's going to be oh so angry...you ruined his exit. He loves his dramatic exits." She tapped on the window as she stared out at the car. "Even when I was in no condition to appreacite them fully..."

Isaac

Isaac smiled.

"Good. I do like to spoil alien hunters' fun."

Natalia

Natalia giggled slightly, her shivers abating. "Yeah. Well, technically he's not an alien hunter. He lets other people do his work for him..." The man working on the car finally got all four wheels on and it drove away. "Thanks again. If he'd," she shook her head a little, "said the right things, I'dve just walked. But that wasn't the point here. It was just to remind us that he's watching, and if he wanted, he could do things...bad bad things. And we wouldn't be able to stop him. Though, thinking now, maybe...maybe it won't work out like he wants."

Isaac

"One must never underestimate oneself, or ones enemies," Isaac said. "I learned that the hard way."

He smiled at Natalia.

"I know you think you're broken," he said softly, "but I think there is still hope left for you. You may have come close to the point of no return, but I don't think you've breached that boundary just yet. I'm not saying it won't take time - it may takes years. I'm saying that there's still someone inside of you to be saved."

Natalia

"Maybe, maybe." Natalia shook her head. "Don't know. I can't find it yet, if there is. It's lost under years of pain, but just maybe...I'll be alright. If I can ever take these off, I'll be better." She flicked the collar and the cuffs, the silver rings jingling softly. "Can't yet. The trainings fixed too deep. But one day..."

Isaac

"One day you will," Isaac assured her. "One day you will."
