Madison, Chrissy and Paige
Madison turned to Chrissy and asked the question for the hundredth time.
"Are you sure you don't want me to stay here with you?"
"Mad, I'll be ok. Don't waste both tickets. Anyway, Paige is going with you, so you won't be alone."
"I just feel bad that you're sick and I'm going to a concert," Madison replied, bending down to fix her shoe.
"I'll be ok. I'll just watch a couple of videos, eat a bit, I'll be fine," Chrissy said. "Say hi to Ike for me."
"I will," Madison promised, her stomach doing backflips as she thought of Isaac.
Paige orbed in at that moment. "You ready? Hey Chrissy."
"Yeah I'm ready."
"Hey Paige. Have a good time guys."
"We will!" Paige squealed, waving as she took Madison's hand and orbed out into Palo Alto, to the concert venue.
Madison looked around at the bushes she was standing in, then turned to Paige.
"Hey, I had to orb us somewhere out of sight didn't I?"
"Good point."
"Anyway, who cares, we're gonna see Hanson!"
"Paige, you've seen them before. You've met them before. They played at P3."
"Oh shut up, you with your logic."
Madison shook her head and the two of them made their way inside the concert venue.
They watched the concert, Paige bouncing happily along, drawing strange stares from even the most hardcore obsessed Hanson fans. After awhile, it was sadly over, so Madison and Paige headed backstage to see Hanson.
Isaac
Isaac saw Madison arrive... with Paige?
"Hi," he greeted curiously. "Where's Chrissy? Not that I object to you being here Paige, but I was expecting Chrissy..."
"This is all I need. To spend more time with Madison than with Chrissy."
Madison and Paige
"Hey Ike... well, Chrissy got sick yesterday," Madison said.
"And she gave me her ticket," Paige explained.
Madison smiled apologetically, and wondered why her heart was suddenly beating faster than it had been before.
Isaac
"Oh," Isaac replied. "I wish I'd known."
"Like you have no idea."
"Did you enjoy the concert?"
Madison and Paige
"She's really sorry she couldn't make it," Madison offered.
Paige nodded. "Yes, it was excellent."
Madison giggled. "Yeah, it was really good."
Isaac and Zac
"Cool," Isaac nodded.
Zac took that moment to wander in, Saku sucking his thumb in his arms.
"Hi Paige, Madison," Zac greeted. "Oh, you guys wouldn't have met Saku yet."
"Saku is Zac's son," Isaac explained. "To Nyx."
"They all want me," Zac joked. "Want me bad."
Madison and Paige
"Hey Zac. Another baby?" Paige asked, raising an eyebrow. "I wonder if he knows about the child he nearly had with Faith..."
"Hey Zac," Madison greeted.
Isaac and Zac
"Yeah, another baby. I told you, women want me bad," Zac grinned. "Or at least... most of them."
He gave Isaac a pointed look. Isaac rolled his eyes.
"So..." Isaac said.
Madison and Paige
"So..." Madison began, noting the obvious tension between Zac and Isaac. Clearly the mess hadn't been worked out yet.
"So how's the tour been going so far?" Madison asked.
Paige, however, completely unaware of anything being wrong, was content to play with Saku. "Does Faith know about him yet? Well, actually, I don't suppose she would, unless you told her and that's why she went missing."
Isaac and Zac
"She's missing?" Zac whirled on Isaac. "Why didn't you tell me?"
"Hey, this is the first I've heard of it. Unlike what you choose to believe, I wasn't seeing her behind your back," Isaac replied.
Zac glared at him.
"I'm surprised you care," Isaac went on coldly. "I seem to recall you told her you didn't want to see her again."
"Careful, Isaac," Zac retorted sweetly. "Saku doesn't like fighting. He might throw fireballs at you."
Paige and Madison
Paige sighed. "Well then if she didn't run away because of you, I guess our worst case scenario has come true. Angelus took her, and seeing as I can't sense her, she's probably dead."
Madison shook her head. "Well, that was blunt."
Zac and Isaac
"D-d-dead?" Zac stammered. "No, no, no, no, no, no, no."
"Well, at least we know he still cares," Isaac thought.
"Who's Angelus?" asked Isaac.
Paige and Madison
"Angel, when he has his leather pants on," Madison simplified.
"It's Angel, when he's evil. He's lost his soul, obviously, and Faith was his target. I can fill you in, if you want, Zac," Paige said, indicating with her eyes that Madison and Ike should be left alone.
Zac and Isaac
Zac nodded quietly. Isaac decided this was a good opportunity to slip away. He realy didn't like getting death stares from Zac. He started walking towards the door, giving Madison a 'come with me' look.
Normally he probably would have taken her arm, but he didn't want to on this occasion. Madison was making him nervous, and touching her would only make things worse.
Paige and Madison
Madison was sort of glad Isaac didn't take her arm to leave. She was verging on naughty thoughts about Isaac, and she shouldn't be. He was Chrissy's boyfriend, and so fate had thrown them together a few times, that was just a coincidence, nothing to get all worried about. Isaac liked Chrissy. End of story.
Paige grinned as she played with Saku. "So yeah..."
Isaac and Zac
Isaac leaned on the balcony.
"Nice night, huh?" He said.
Zac looked at Paige.
"So? About Angelus..." Zac asked.
"Dat's Serafina's daddy," Saku put in.
"Who's Serafina?"
"Sissy."
Paige and Madison
Madison nodded. "It is... you really were great tonight."
She leant on the balcony and sighed in contentment as she looked out on the city.
"I lived here for a bit once."
Paige sighed. "I'm guessing that's how he lost his soul then. He's... from what Xander will tell us, he's not the nicest when he's all evil. He pretty much targets the people closest to him when he's... good. So that would be Faith."
Isaac and Zac
"Yeah?" Isaac inquired. "I've spent a fair amout of time living in CA. Mainly to record."
Why oh why did Chrissy have to be sick? This was all he needed. To spend time alone with a woman he was thinking more about than his own girlfriend.
"Evil people aren't particularly nice," Zac agreed. "So, do you have any other siblings, Saku?"
"Kanika, Faolan and Victory," Saku replied.
"Ah ha! Faolan is Mordred's. Julie mentioned him."
Paige and Madison
"He's cute," Paige commented.
"Yeah, we've, Chrissy and I, have lived all over. We decided on Tulsa because we were kinda sick of moving. So it was almost by default."
Madison mentally kicked herself for bringing Chrissy up. Then she realised that was good, because otherwise she'd forget Chrissy existed and she'd act out on her feelings for Isaac.
Zac and Isaac
"Yeah," Zac agreed. "Saku is a cutie. And he's also the best chick magnet. You have Saku around, you're guarenteed to have women talk to you."
"It's nice to have a spot you can call home," Isaac smiled. "It's really great after a tour to go back home because, y'know, by then you're tired and all. It's really great."
Paige and Madison
Paige raised an eyebrow, but didn't comment. It wasn't her place. If Faith didn't tell Zac, she must've chosen not to for a reason. "Yeah, I can imagine."
Madison nodded. "Agreed. Home is definitely a good thing to have."
She bit her lip. "So, how long do you have left of the tour?"
Zac and Isaac
"Of course," Zac went on. "The problem is that I'm in the public eye. So I can't really do that too often."
"I'm not sure," Isaac said to Madison. "We're hoping to add another leg, but it depends on how the next shows sell."
Paige and Madison
"Yeah, that would be a problem," Paige replied, opting to just agree with what Zac was saying.
"Well judging by tonight, I'm sure you'll do really well. But then, we'd all miss you back in Tulsa. I mean, Chrissy would," Madison covered.
Isaac and Zac
"A big problem. Now, how am I supposed to pick up chicks with a baby without rumours that I'm a teenage dad getting out? It's not like the rumours are false..." Zac grinned.
"Aww, you mean only Chrissy misses me and no one else?" Isaac teased. "I feel loved."
"Erm, maybe I should have just dropped that..."
Paige and Madison
Paige nodded. "I spose you could always say it was Taylor or Isaac's baby."
Madison felt trapped. If she didn't say anything, she'd make it awkward, of course if she said what was on the tip of her tongue, she'd make it awkward anyway.
"Don't say it Mad, you'll regret it." Her brain told her.
"Oh, well I miss you too, of course."
"You idiot. I'm getting out of here!" Her brain said.
Isaac and Zac
"Now, there's a good idea," Zac grinned. "I'll say he's Tay's. He keeps getting blamed for pregnancies."
"Great," Isaac said. "Two people in Tulsa will miss me. That does so much for my ego."
"Oh yeah, Ike, that's works. Moron."
Paige and Madison
"Yeah, good idea," Paige said.
"I'm sure a lot of people will miss you, Ike. It would be hard not to," Madison said.
"You idiot. You complete idiot. Why don't you throw yourself at him harder?"
Isaac and Zac
"Why do you keep agreeing with me?" Zac asked.
"Okay, I think it's time to change the subject," Isaac thought.
"So, umm... how's work?"
Paige and Madison
Paige shrugged. "A safer option than arguing? Plus, I don't really have anything to argue with you about."
"Except about Faith... but that's really not my business."
"It's good," Madison said. "Kinda. Been a bit stressful lately, what with Faith missing. So Piper's basically given up on going into work until she's found, so Chrissy and I have been working round the clock. Which could explain her being sick, I guess."
Zac and Isaac
Zac gave Paige a long look.
"Do you wanna have sex?"
"Oh, I see," Isaac said.
"So why Chrissy have to be the one to be sick? Take that back Isaac! That's not worthy of you!"
Paige and Madison
Paige raised her eyebrows again.
"Zac? One... you're only gonna use me. Two, Faith loves you. Well she does if she's alive, anyway. Three, no."
Madison nodded.
"Yeah... so... um..."
"Just tell him you like him, go on. Do it. Make things more awkward," Madison taunted herself.
She cleared her throat. "Nice night."
Zac and Isaac
Zac shrugged.
"Doesn't hurt to ask."
"Yes, it is a nice night," Isaac agreed.
"Good. A stupid topic. Very good. Stop you from saying things you'll regret."
Paige and Madison
Paige sighed.
"Yeah, well..." She stopped. "It doesn't matter anyway."
Madison nodded. "Yeah... it's kinda warm, but kinda cool."
"Yeah, the weather. Good choice of topic. Because that's not inane chatter. You're an idiot."
Isaac and Zac
Zac raised an eyebrow. He leaned over to her.
"Sure about that?" he teased in a lower voice.
"Yeah, and there's a nice breeze too," Isaac nodded.
Paige and Madison
"I'm pretty sure," Paige said.
She mentally kicked herself for almost giving in.
"Yeah... kinda keeps it from getting too hot," Madison replied, pushing some hair behind her ear.
Isaac and Zac
Zac put his hand on Paige shoulder, and massaged it gently.
"Really?"
"Why did she have to go and say the word 'hot'?" Isaac complianed.
"Right," he agreed aloud.
Paige and Madison
Paige glanced at Zac's lips which actually did kinda look inviting.
"Yeah, really."
She looked away and tried to focus on other things.
Madison looked away from Isaac. If she looked at him, she was going to just notice how good looking he was.
"So... you and Zac, still not a good situation?"
Isaac and Zac
Zac stroked the side of your face.
"Shame..."
Isaac sighed.
"Nope. He just... he just won't believe me. I've tried to tell him, but he just... argh."
Paige and Madison
Paige looked at Zac again, her resolve crumbling. Then she turned away.
"Yeah, a real shame."
Madison tsked sympathetically.
"I'm sure he'll get over it soon."
Isaac and Zac
Zac moved his face closer to hers so there was barely an inch between them.
"Could have been fun."
"I sure hope so," Isaac replied. "It's driving me nuts."
Paige and Madison
Paige bit her lip.
"Maybe, guess we'll never know."
Madison sighed. "I'm sure it'll work out. Give him a bit to cool down."
Isaac and Zac
Zac put his hand to Paige's hair.
"You could always change your mind," he breathed.
"Zac's not the only one who should cool down," Isaac thought to himself.
"I'll give him what I have. I just hope it doesn't take too long."
Paige and Madison
Paige leant closer to Zac, if that was possible, her resolve crumbling fast.
"I could... but I'm... not... going to."
Madison nodded.
"I guess that's all you can do. It'll work out in the end, I mean you're brothers, and he does love you."
Isaac and Zac
Zac smiled to himself, knowing his charm was working perfectly. He turned his face to kiss her.
"Da? What are you doing?" asked Saku.
Zac jerked away.
"Nothing, Saku. I'm not doing anything."
He turned his face from Paige.
"Now why did she have to say the words 'love you'?" Isaac groaned inwardly.
"I'm sure you're right."
Paige and Madison
Paige breathed a sigh of relief. Thank God for Saku.
"So... the show went well?" Paige asked, clearing her throat.
Madison nodded. "I've been known to be right a few times."
Isaac and Zac
"Idiot!" Zac said to himself. "Hello? Remember Saku? Your son is in the same room, and you tried to... you have issues, Zac."
"So umm, why don't we see what Madison and Ike are up to?"
"I'm sure you have," Isaac grinned.
"Okay does the word 'awkward' mean anything to you?"
Paige and Madison
"Yeah, Madison and I should uh, probably get going. Wanna keep searching for Faith," Paige said, emphasising Faith's name.
She started to head outside for Madison.
"Yeah," Madison said. She turned around to see Paige.
"We should get going... it was really good to watch you guys and yeah," Paige rushed, ready to go.
"Yeah, um, good show, have a good tour," Madison said awkwardly. She took Paige's hand and with a final goodbye, they were gone.
