Rachel
Tobias hadn't wanted to leave Rachel behind, but when Ax showed up and said it was imperative they leave NOW, he had to. He kissed a crying Rachel goodbye, and then morphed into Andalite form, and got up on the ship. He waved to his girlfriend, and Rachel broke down. She needed Jess, or she was going to freak out. She looked up the tour dates, and shifted into her eagle form, and flew off. She found the Hansons, and went into the hotel. She looked around and found Diana.
"Mrs. Hanson, do you know where Jess is?' Rachel asked, wiping the tears from her eyes.
"Rachel, dear, what's wrong?" Diana asked, concerned.
"It's Tobias. He went back to the Andalite home world today. I'm probably never going to see him again!" she wept. Diana enveloped her daughter's best friend in her arms, giving her a big hug.
"Well, Jess is out shopping. Adam drove up to spend the day with her. The boys are in the lounge, I believe," Diana said gently.
"Thank you, Mrs. Hanson," Rachel said, politely.
"Diana, please."
"Diana," Rachel smiled weakly, and headed out to the lounge, just hoping to see a friendly face.
Zac
Zac relaxed on the couch. He was feeling relieved. Saku was now napping.
This father stuff was hard, and he had only been at it a day.
Then he noticed someone enter the room.
"Rach!" he exclaimed. "Hey, how are you? What brings you here?"
Rachel
"Wings," she said, smiling grimly. "I was looking for Jess, but your mom said she was out with Adam. Tobias left today," she said, sighing as she sat next to Zac.
Zac
"Ahh. Toabis, he's the boyfriend right?" Zac asked. "Where'd he go?"
He patted the seat next to him in gesture for her to sit down.
Rachel
Rachel's eyes got teary again. "He's left the galaxy. He's gone to the Andalite home world with his uncle, to be with the rest of his family." She laid her head on Zac's shoulder. The Xena facade slipping, as her pain came to the surface.
Zac
Zac lifted his arm and put it around her shoulders. Well, well, this was unexpected to say the least. He sighed.
"Faith and I broke up today too," he said sorrowfully. "She was cheating on me with Ike! Of all people, Ike!"
Rachel
Rachel's eyes widened. "How could your own brother do that to you?" she asked, shocked. "I mean, maybe karmically it makes sense, but I bet it still hurts. " Rachel sighed. "So, we both got dumped today. That sucks."
Zac
"Yeah, it really, really sucks. Life sucks. Everything damn well sucks," Zac ranted.
He paused.
"Sorry. I didn't mean to go off like that."
He sighed and then kissed the top of her head.
Rachel
"It's okay. Misery loves company." Rachel looked at Zac. Suddenly, she remembered what she had found so attractive about him.
"Um, I hope I'm not to rash, but. . . " she stopped, and enveloped his mouth in a kiss.
Zac
Zac was momentarily surprised. But hey, this is Zac we're talking about, so it didn't take long for him to respond passionately. His hand (the one joined to the arm that was not around her shoulders), slipped around her waist. Tentatively (because this was his little sister's best friend) he sent his tongue on a survey mission.
Rachel
Rachel was in heaven. Zac was good at this making out business. He knew exactly where to put his hands, where to kiss, and how hard.
"Mmmmm," she moaned, quietly. "HEy," she said, breaking apoart. "Do you have a room to yourself?" she asked.
Zac
"Sadly, I share with my treacherous brother. However, the bathroom is not only free, but has a lock on it."
Zac traced the curve of Rachel's face gently.
"Why do you ask?" he inquired, his voice low.
Rachel
"The bathroom?" Rachel asked, exasperated. "What kinda girl do you think I am?" she snickered. "Stay right there," she directed. She morphed into a mouse and ran to the front desk, and swiped a key to an empty bedroom.
"Room 104, empty," she said, winking. "Whassya say we go check it out?"
Zac
Zac stood up.
"I like a girl who knows what she wants and goes out and gets it," he said.
Okay, admittedly it didn't take much to get Zac turned on, but he was really liking this never-before-seen side of Rachel. He put an arm around her waist.
"Let's go check it out."
Rachel
"I like a guy who let's the girl be decisive," she said coyly. They went to the room, and Rachel closed the door, and then pushed Zac back onto the bed, kissing him passionately. She was hurting. How could Tobias do that to her? Reject her like this? Why didn't he even have the decency to invite her to come? SHe would follow him to the ends of the universe, if he had asked. She suddenly understood how Dawn felt, when Clark left so abruptly.
She kissed him fast and hard, letting go of any restraint, or modesty that had been chaining her down. The problem with the rebound, is the guilt that pops up later, but everybody feels undesirable after being dumped.
Zac
Zac wrapped his arms around Rachel, one hand tracing the outline of her bra.
Zac decided to let Rachel be the aggressor on this occasion. Knowing all too well the attitudes she had displayed to his sleeping around habits he didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable.
Still, that resolve didn't stop him from kissing her neck.
Rachel
Rachel pulled Zac's shirt over his head, and then went for the fastenings on his pants. She pulled them down and started tracing the outline through his underwear with her tongue.
"Mmmmm, yummy," she whispered.
Zac
Okay, Rachel better not be teasing him. Because if she was he was going to be sexually frustrated for a week.
And let's face it, Rach did not sleep around.
"Rach?" he asked softly, stroking her hair. "Are you... are you serious about this?"
Damn... she really better not be teasing... her tongue was driving him crazy.
Rachel
"Absolutely," Rachel said, as she pulled down Zac's boxers and engulfed him, without the fabric curtain. Hmmm, he tasted different than Tobias, though she'd only done this once before. She was just feeling, so . . . unwanted. Why did he leave? Rachel was drawing little circles with her tongue, and then she started humming, letting the vibrations of her vocal chords do some magic.
Zac
Okay, this was just way too much. Zac twisted around and wiped off
Rachel's shirt in one swift movement, unhooked her bra and then got
started on her pants. His mouth and tongue all the while doing a great
deal of... exploring. Damn, but she felt so good in his hands.
Rachel
Rachel was in heaven as she and Zac made love. Each time that she and
Tobias broke up, she had hoped that Zac would ask her out. THis was
amazing rebound sex. And she felt wanted, attractive. She was just
glad she always kept a condom in her wallet. You know, just in case.
Zac
Afterwards Zac held Rachel in his arms, and gently caressed her
shoulder. After lying there for a few minutes, he sighed, kissed her
forhead and then sat up.
"We should get dressed and leave," he said. "Before they send out a
search party and all hell breaks loose."
Rachel
Rachel nodded and started to put her clothes back on. SHe picked up
the discarded condom, to throw it away, when she noticed something.
"Oh, shit!" she cried out. Swearing was not normal for
Rachel. "Look," she said to Zac.
Zac
Zac stared at the split condom and the colour drained from his face.
"It never fails, does it..." he said quietly. "Well... um... hopefully
it didn't break until after... There... it might not be... okay I know
it's hard to believe with my repuation, but it might not be an issue."
Zac knew it was completely obvious he was trying to convince himself as
well.
Rachel
Rachel's face mimicked Zac's in losing all color.
"Well," she said after a minute. "I've always wanted kids." She
sat down on the bed hard.
"SHIT!" she said again. "Why couldn't this have happened a month
ago? Before Friday fixed my uterus? Then there would be no issue. But
noooooooo. Damn."
Zac
"You're not..." Zac gulped. "You're not... at that... particular point
in your cycle are you?"
He felt stupid asking that, but hey just because he had gotten a few
women pregnant, didn't mean he was ignorant. He sat down next to her.
Rachel
"I, uh, I don't know. I'm not exactly regular yet. She just fixed
it. OKay, let's just hope for the best, and if I am pregnant, we'll
figure it out when the time comes." she said. Truthfully, she wanted a
baby so bad, she didn't care if she was only barely 17.
Zac
Zac nodded.
"Okay," he replied softly.
He took her hand and kissed it gently.
"I'm sure that, whatever happens, everything's gonna work out."
