Saveena
Saveena was very upset. SHe'd teleported to New York City to find Sabre, but so far had no avail. She went to the mansion he shared with Dru, but he wasn't there, so she followed his wscent to Westchester. She sat quietly on the front lawn of the school, watching the students, and the teacher. Then she spied the Cat, his arm linked through tha t of his vampiress'.
"My Lord, Sabre," the sphynx said, following the correct mode of address.
"It is an emergency. First, let me tell you how sad I am to hear of your mother, she was a beloved cousin." Saveena lowered her eyes.
"But we need you. With your mother's spirit in the ether, there is rioting in Hamunaptra. The souls are trying to escape, to leave the Land of the Dead forever. That is what happened with Glorificus in the first place. You need to come, and restore order. Your vampire is welcome to join you," she said, grimly. "But we must leave now."
Sabre
Sabre snarled at her, temper quick and his control fragile. "I'd suggest you'd find Nyx. It's her job now. Can't ye leave me be to grieve in peace? At least for the moment? Why does Osiris need me? Doesn't he have any control whatsoever?"
Dru
Saveena sighed. "Your sister is running. She's under attack. You are the first born, this is YOUR job, wheather you want it or not. We need you. The dead are escaping. Osiris has been taken ill with grief, and cannot help. Remember, Bastet was his daughter, his sister, his lover, his friend. PLease, lord Sabre, please come with me, your bride is welcome as well." The strees and grief was apparent on Saveena's face. She was barely able to handle it anymore.
Dru linked her arm through Sabre's. "My dark prince, I will follow you everywhere. But Hamunuptra is a place I'd like to see," she said, gently.
Sabre
Sabre snarled at Saveena. "Aye, I'll come. Ye have me shackled by ties of blood. I canna say nay. Bitch." He spat at her feet. "Let's go then."
Drusilla
Saveena waved her hand and the portal appeared. Drusilla linked arms with Sabre as t hey jumped through. She looked around wide-eyed.
"So this is the City of the Dead?" she asked, happily. To her, it was quite the tourist attraction.
Sabre
"Aye," Sabre said, still angry. "This is the City of the Dead on the Western Bank. Welcome to me home, lovely."
Drusilla
"Oh, it's beautiful!" Dru cried. "I love it!" she danced around in circles, her distended belly looking quite large.
Sabre
"Yeah, it's beautiful." Sabre was still angry. And he could feel the sorrow and grief bleeding through the air, colouring the stones and sky as the gods mourned. He was almost knocked off his feet by a tall woman with a lioness's head.
"Beloved warrior of the night, she is dead!"
"Sakhmet, hush. I'll work things out, I promise."
"The souls escape Osiris. Come, quickly."
Sakhmet tugged at his hand, tears still rolling down either side of her sloping muzzle. "I'll come. Will ye be alright, lovely?"
"She be fine, dark warrior. Quick, we needs must go."
