Julie, Rogue and Shannon
Julie drove to the school gates. She had gotten her licence sometime ago and Zac's generous financial contributions helped her buy the second-hand car.
After being admitted, she was directed to the garage, and a parking spot. She pulled into her place, stopped the car and twisted around to smile at her two children, fast asleep in the middle.
"We're here," she said.
She opened up the door and started pulling her bags out.
"Hi!" called a cheery voice.
Julie looked up and smiled at the two people who had arrived.
"Hi," she replied a little uncertainly.
"I'm Rogue, and this is Shannon."
"Hi," Shannon greeted.
"I'm Julie," Julie replied.
"They don't know," Shannon replied.
Julie looked confused.
"He means, that we know," Rogue smiled. "Shannon's power is opposites."
"Oh."
"There's probably going to be more people here before long," Rogue went on. "Oooh! Are those the... well of course they are... who's who?"
Julie grinned.
"If you can give me a hand getting them out?"
"Sure."
"Don't allow you," Shannon said.
She leaned into the car and gave Julie a hand from the otherside gently removing the babies from the car.
"Thank you," Julie said.
"Yes, problem."
Rogue giggled.
Bobby
"Hey Rogue, Shannon," Bobby greeted.
He paused at the sight of Julie.
"Hi, I'm Bobby."
Julie, Rogue and Shannon
"Julie," Julie replied. "And these two are B'Elanna and Tom."
"We're so big!" Shannon cooed.
Julie and Rogue giggled. Shannon then realised what she said and poked her tongue out at them.
"How old are they?" asked Rogue.
"Umm... almost two weeks," Julie replied. "They were born on the fifteenth."
Bobby
Bobby grinned as he looked at the babies.
"Cool! They're cute," he said to her.
Julie and Rogue
"I think so too," Julie smiled. "Umm, so I don't suppose you guys know where my room is?"
"Oh! Sorry, you'd want to get unpacked huh?" Rogue grinned. "Umm, I'm not sure where they're putting you."
Bobby
Bobby scratched his head.
"Probably somewhere near you girls. I know there's a spare bed where Gwen used to be... but I doubt they'd put anywhere in there with Kate. Although she scarpered a few days ago, so I'm not sure."
Chelsea and Nathan
Chelsea wandered out with Nathan, her training as always continuing as Nathan felt his life slipping away. His fingers cut cards in a neverending shuffle. "Hey alls." Chelsea nodded. Nathan inclined his head slightly, black bandage wrapped over his eyes. Nyx had been going to heal them, but had never got around to it. Chelsea looked at the babies, and blinked hard. "Nath..." The figures swam in and out of her vision.
"Aliens. Powers. They try to hide themselves but it's all jumbled as our powers see them." Nathan shrugged. "Stealth, you see. They're good at hiding but I'm better at Seeing."
"Ah. K." Chelsea nibbled her bottom lip. "Well anyway. I'm Chelsea and this is Nathan. Nice to meet you all."
Julie and Shannon
"Hi," Julie replied as she set up the stroller. "I'm Julie. Umm... Shannon... is holding Tom, and Rogue, is it? Is holding B'Elanna."
"Are I... you a mutant?" Shannon asked carefully.
"No. I'm a hundred percent human. The father of these two is Dathrian though. I'm friends with Rachel, too, amongst others. B'Elanna and Tom both have a power called Steath. So yeah, my parents don't know, and I could sure use the help of people who do know. I might have moved in with the father but ahh... he's always travelling."
For some reason the idea of admitting the father was Zac Hanson made her feel awkward.
"Anyway... I umm, I hope I'm not sharing a room," she went on with a smile. "I don't think my roommate will appreciate being woken up in the middle of the night."
Bobby
"The Professor probably accommodated for that, don't worry," Bobby said with a reassuring smile.
"We could take you to see him now, if you like?"
Julie and Rogue
Julie smiled, taking the twins from Shannon and Rogue and putting them into the stroller.
"Thanks, I'd appreciate that."
"You can just leave your things here," Rogue said. "We can come back for them when we know where you are."
"Okay, thanks."
Nathan and Chelsea
Nathan knelt slightly and touched the hands of the twins. His eyebrows went up over the black bandage in an expression of surprise. "Well then." He tilted his head to look at Julie, and smiled. "You *are* the lucky one. Be good, little ones." With that, Nathan strode off. Chelsea paused for a moment.
"He sees the future, and obviously he saw something good. And oh, Nathan's a bit mad so he doesn't make sense all the time, but he's usually right. See ya!" And Chelsea darted off, red hair gleaming in the sun.
Julie and Rogue
Julie curiously watched Nathan and Chelsea leave.
"C'mon, Ah'll take you to the Professor," Rogue said.
Julie nodded and pushed the stroller after her.
Rachel
Rachel barreled down the steps and towards her good friend. "Julie!" she cried, hugging her fiercely. "How are you babe?"
Julie
"Rach!" Julie grinned.
She hugged Rachel back.
"I'm just great," she said. "I'm on my way to check in and find out which room we're in. Oh! You haven't met the twins yet. This is B'Elanna Tactia, and Thomas Yoshi."
Rachel
"Hey cuties," Rachel said, "I'm your Auntie Rachel," she grinned. "Can I hold one?" she asked Julie.
Julie
"Sure, go ahead," Julie smiled.
Everyone wanted to hold them, and Julie didn't mind a bit. She was grateful for the little restbits she got.
Rachel and Ducky
Rachel reached down and gently picked up B'Elanna.
"Oh, she's so tiny!" Rachel breathed. "And so perfect." Ducky came swooping down when she saw the babies.
"You must be Julie," she said, holding oput her hand. ":And these must be your babies! Oh, Babies!" she cooed. "You must always protect the babies," she said very seriously.
Julie
Julie nodded slowly.
"You must be Ducky," she said. "And don't you worry. I plan on taking very good care of my twins."
Kitty
Kitty came outside.
"Julie, right? I'm Kitty Pryde. Professor Xavier asked me to show you to your room. It's one of the double rooms, but the second half has been converted into a nursery, it's really nice. This way," she said, amiably.
Julie, Shannon and Rogue
"Oh thanks very much," Julie said smiling.
"In that case I'll grab some of your things," Rogue said. "Gimme a hand Shannon?"
"No."
"Cool."
Kitty
"Here, this way," Kitty said, bouncing. Rachel followed, carrying B'Elanna snugly in her arms. She couldn't get over just how perfect she was.
"Okay, This room is your. It has it's own bathroom, but the showers are down the hall. Lunk starts at 11:30, supper is at six, and breakfast is whenever you happe nto get up. Is there anything you need, or do you just want to get settled in?" Kitty asked.
Julie
Julie smiled.
"No, nothing else," she replied. "Thank you all for your help."
"It was no problem," Rogue replied, putting down what luggage of Julie's she had been carrying. "Or, in the words of Shannon 'it wasn't yes solution'."
Shannon and Julie giggled.
"Thanks again," Julie said.
She waited for everyone to leave and started getting herself settled in.
"Well," she said to B'Elanna and Tom, "this is home - at least until further notice."
