Room69
Noah stepped up to the mike reluctantly. He hadn't wanted to come to P3 and perform, but the rest of Room69 had, and they needed him, so he said he would.
"Hi, we're Room69. And our first song is 'Tomorrow Will Come'."
Noah stepped back from the mike slightly and played the first the opening chords and started to sing.
They finished the song, played a few others and Noah tried to ignore the lump in his throat, which was threatening to make his voice crack.
As they were packing up, Pete came over to talk to Noah. "You ok, man?"
"Yeah."
"Liar."
"I was just thining about AJ."
"For a change."
"I know," Noah said quietly.
"Hey, man, I was kidding. Come on, talk to me. I'm not completely insensitive."
"I miss her. And I hate that."
"You hate missing her?"
"I loved her, Pete."
"Love, Noah, it's still love. Just a bit... look, things happen, right? But love always wins out in the end. Love's not love unless it hurts like hell."
Noah looked at Pete as if he was speaking a different language.
Pete cleared his throat. "That was a bit... girly. I'm gonna go over there and scratch myself, and get a beer."
Noah chuckled slightly. "You're underage."
"Damn. But at least I made ya laugh. Stay smiling, No."
