Isaac and Zac
The teleporter teleprted Isaac to the hotel room and then left to get a healer.
"Ike!" Zac yelled. "Ike! YOu're here!"
"Yes," Isaac smiled, turning in Zac's direction, "yes I am."
Zac stopped short, seeing Isaac's eyes.
"What... what happened?"
"Miette blinded me," Isaac replied. "She didn't want me to be able to use my powers. But... I can."
"You can?"
"Sort of. Can you show me a seat please? I want to get off my feet."
"Sure, sure."
Taylor and Walker
"Ike?" Taylor's brow furrowed as he entered the room.
"Ike man! You're back!"
Walker heard the voices from his and Diana's room, and glanced at his wife.
He left the room to find them. When he came to the open doorway and saw his eldest son, he sighed with relief.
"Welcome back Isaac," he said, entering the room.
Avery and Zoe
Avery heard voices from the room and ran in.
"Ike!" she cried happily, Zoe at her heels.
"Ikey!" Zoe exclaimed.
Isaac and Zac
Isaac grinned as he sat down, hearing their voice.
"Hi," he replied. "I'm so glad to hear your voices again!"
"It's good that your back," Zac replied. "Now, what's this about Miette blinding you so that you can't use your powers?"
"Miette... Miette's changed. Really changed. And in two different ways apparantly, but I only really 'saw' one. The one... the one... Her whole personality seems to have changed. She's..." Isaac frowned. "She's, well, mean. She seems to delight in the idea of people being afraid of her, things like that. Like she's a totally different person."
He paused.
"And... and I think... I think I know why. I think the Eye had something to do with it. She's in league with him."
Avery and Zoe
Avery wrapped her arms around Ike.
"It's good to have you back!"
"We missed you!" Zoe chimed in.
Taylor and Walker
"The Eye," Walker nodded, "the Eye paid us a visit just yesterday."
Taylor gulped, just looking Isaac over worriedly.
"He managed to form some kind of block that paralyzed Mackenzie. Separated his mind from his body and preventing him from any physical movement aside from life's essentials."
Isaac and Zac
There was no mistaking the black look on Isaac's face.
"You know... he even... he spoke to me. To gloat of course. And to torment me with threating you guys," he leaned back in the couch. "Darn bas- Is Mackie okay?"
"He is now," Zac replied. "Thanks to Avery."
Isaac smiled and hugged his sister.
"Good on you," he said.
Avery
Avery hugged Isaac back again.
"Thanks... I'm so glad you're ok!"
Isaac and Zac
"I'm glad too," Isaac smilied.
"Well, other than being blind," Zac pointed out. "You said... that she changed another way too? How?"
"I can't really vouch for this too much," Isaac began, "her power is, well, more visual. But she said she had been affected by the radiation in Kansas. Mutated, she called it. She said that she could turn into light, move at the speed of light and make solid holograms. SHe also said that she didn't have her atom manipulation any more."
He chewed his lip.
"She's also... really warm. I don't know if it's just my imagination or something, but she did seem to be hot like she had been out in the sun too long."
Jessica
Jess heard her brother's voice andran into the room and tackled him, hugging him tight.
"IKE!" she cried. "Oh, we missed you! Welcome back! Are you okay?"
Isaac and Zac
"I miss you guys too," Isaac replied to his sister. "Not a scratch on me that won't go away once the healer gets here."
"Okay next question... if you're blind... how did you escape? And for that matter you said that you could still use your powers?" Zac asked.
"It's..." Isaac paused thoughtfully. "I can sorta use... I can use them... physically I guess is the way to put it... For instance..."
Isaac, with his arms still around Avery, lifted her up telekinetically, and put her down again.
Mouse
Mouse entered the room, and smiled at Isaac. "You're back. That's good. What's wrong?" She tilted her head slightly and frowned as she caught the mixed emotions of the people in the room.
Taylor
"Mouse?" Taylor looked up.
He glanced at Ike, then got up and made his way over to her.
"He's blind," he said softly as he put an arm around her shoulders.
Avery
Avery looked at her eldest brother for a long while, then she noticed something strange.
She made her way over and looked at the bare bit of chest she could see, with a colourful mark on it.
"Um..."
SHe opened his shirt a bit more to reveal a neatly burnt "M" in his chest.
"Uh... maybe we should get someone to look at this," Avery said, gesturing for people to look. "It's an 'M'."
Isaac and Zac
"What?" Isaac asked.
"There's a coloured letter 'M' on you chest, Ike," Zac told him.
Isaac moved his hand tring to find it. It was at that moment that the teleported returned with the healer.
"My, we've certainly drawn a crowd," said the healer. "I'm guessin you're Isaac?"
"He is," Zac affirmed.
The healer nodded and put her hand on Isaac. After a minute Isaac blinked, then lifted his hand to shade his eyes.
"Whoa..." he said, still blinking, "bright..."
"Thank you," Diana said to the healer.
"No problem," she replied. "Better now?"
"Yeah... thanks," Isaac answered. "Just got to get used to seeing again..."
"The 'M' is still there," Zac said, pointing.
"What 'M'?" asked the healer.
Isaac looked down to his chest and saw the mark for himself.
"It was sore there..." he murmered.
"There was some burns," the healer said. "But whatever that is, it's nothing I can heal."
Avery
Avery peered at it with interest.
"Why can't it be healed? I mean... it is an injury, right?"
Isaac and Zac
"I healed the injured part," said the healer. "That's boyond my power. I'd say it was a tattoo, but I can get rid of tattoos."
"Mi's a light manipulator," Isaac pointed out. "She can change hair colour and stuff. Maybe she changed the skin colour."
"But, Mi doesn't burn stuff to do that, does she?" Zac frowned.
"I don't think so. But I guess she's the only one who can answer that question."
Mouse
Mouse nibbled her lip for a moment. "Well, maybe the kitties could get rid of it." She ran her fingers over her Claiming tattoo, which as always was faintly warm to touch. "It almost looks like Bastet's one on my arm, except a lot bigger...and more colours. Maybe magic can get rid of it, if aliens can't."
Isaac and Zac
Isaac traced the 'M'.
"Thanks," Isaac said genuinely to Mouse, "but I think... It's no big deal. I think I'd like to see what comes of it."
"Like what?" Zac asked. "If you ask me, Miette seems to think that your hers. I mean, who does she think you are? Her husband?"
Isaac just gave him a wry smile.
Mouse
Mouse shrugged. "Your call. I know that *this*," she flicked the tat, "annoyed me more then a little for a long time. She didn't ask, that was my major annoyance. But if you ever change your mind..." She smiled at him. "Glad to have you nack, Ike."
Isaac
"Believe me, Mouse, it's good to be back. I might take you up on that offer if it starts bothering me and nothing else will get it off," Isaac replied.
He yawned.
"Umm, would anyone mind if I went to bed? It's late and don't we have a concert tomorrow?"
