Vulpe and Mouse

Vulpe bounced as she sat next to her parents. Going back to Italy for a bit, but she'd wanted to see Mouse before she went. They arrived in front of the Chicago hotel the Hansons were staying at. Hey, the Thieves Guild had a very good infomation network. They made their way into the hotel, by other then conventional means. Vulpe grinned wildly as her father laid a fond arm across her shoulders.

"Aspettare con impazienza di vedervi elle vostra amica prima va a casa?"

"Si, padre." Vulpe nodded, body humming with barely restrained excitement. She saw her friend, and broke away from her parents. "TOPA!" Vulpe ran towards Mouse and hugged her tight, ignoring the people with her. "How have you been? I been so worried, you alright, what's been happening?" Vulpe said quickly.

"Vulpe?" Mouse blinked in shock. "Vulpe, what are you doing here?"

"And what kind of question is dat? I asking you, poppa, can't I come see my friend before I go back to bella Italy?" Vulpe looked back at her parents, before dropping to her knees to greet the canines. "Yo, Bets, Faf..."

Fox. Bets nuzzled Vulpe's neck briefly.

Fox. Fafnir greeted her calmly, licking her hand. Vulpe bounced back up again, ears pricked and laughing with joy.

"Oh, I'm so glad to see dat y'alright!" Vulpe calmed down suddenly. "Jane, I would like you to meet my parents."

"Honoured to meet you, signora," Stefano mumured as he picked up Mouse's hand to kiss it, bowing over it. Anna Maria came forward and hugged Mouse, before smiling happily.

"We have heard so much of you from our daughter. It is good to meet you at last. My name is Anna Maria, and this is my husband, Stefano. Non essere cosí scortese," she scolded her husband, slapping his arm slightly. Stefano smiled before dropping a kiss on her forehead.

"Si, mia cara." He looked at the people with Mouse. "My name is Stefano Rossinni, and I am the Patriach of the Thieves Guild in Italy. This is my wife, Anna Maria Rossinni. It is a pleasure to meet you all."

Taylor

"Grazie. Nizza per venirla a contatto anche," Taylor nodded, standing behind Mouse again and putting his hands on her shoulders.

He was still acting uneasy around Vulpe, but was glad for the bilingual company all the same.

Vulpe and Mouse

Vulpe squeaked and picked up Mouse's hand. "Mouse, oh, I'm so happy for you!" She kissed Mouse on both cheeks exuberantly. Mouse giggled slightly at the Italian show of joyous affection.

"Calm down, fox."

"Figlia, spiega prego," Anna Maria said in mildly scolding tones.

"È agganciata," Vulpe tossed back over her shoulder, admiring the diamond on Mouse's finger. She looked up at Taylor. "Nice rock. Sia buono lei, o li ucciderò lentamente e penosamente. Preferirei non devo fare quello." She grinned. "Capisca? Ow!" Anna Maria pulled on Vulpe's ear firmly.

"Chieda scusa immediatamente, Vulpe Rossinni,' Anna Maria said scoldingly. "Pensereste che alzato in un granaio, elle sensa vi comportate!"

"Ow, madre!" Vulpe whined. "Poppa!"

"Introito gradisce una donna, Vulpe. Non sto ottenendo in causa." Stefano smiled slightly. "Permetta che me offra le mie congratulazioni a sentire tali notizie joyous. Il Dio di maggio li benedice insieme e mantiene durante tutti gli vostri anni," he said to Mouse and Taylor, bowing slightly.

"Ora chieda scusa," Anna Maria told her recaltriant daughter firmly. Mouse watched the byplay between the family with wistfulness, wishing she had that.

"Spiacente," Vulpe said sullenly.

"Per che cosa?" Anna Maria said warningly and Vulpe cringed.

"Per minacciare la vostra vita."

"Ragazza buona." Anna Maria patted Vulpe on the shoulder, and turned back to Taylor and Mouse. "I am so happy to hear of this. Jane, I hope that your life with Taylor is happy and long." The Italian matron put her hands on either side of Mouse's face, and kissed her cheeks. "Ah, you are an empath! Buon. I as well, si?"

"You're an empath?" Mouse asked.

"Si, I am a mutant though, not an alien." Anna Maria smiled at the surprised Mouse. "Our house is your house, Jane. I wish that you feel a part of our family as well. Vulpe has told us so much of you, I wish to know you all better."

Taylor

"Grazie, grazie," Taylor nodded to them, "getting attached somewhat?"

But there was a grin on his face as he said it. He knew what Italians were like, and Italian animals weren't much different.

MOuse and Vulpe

"Look at you, you're skin and bone!" Anna Maria said to Mouse disapprovingly. Vulpe giggled.

"Oh, now you're in for it, ragazza." The foxgirl grinned. "Look at you, you're so skinny, how will you ever catch yourself a husband that is what I would like to know, miss! Ai!" Anna Maria's hand swatted Vulpe on the bottom. "Well, it's true."

"Such an impertinent little madam," Anna Maria said fondly, then turned back to Mouse. "When are the babies due?"

"January, I think," Mouse said hesitantly. Anna Maria nodded.

"Such a sweet girl, perhaps you will rub off on the disgrace that is my daughter-"

"Una prova e un tribulation nella sua vecchia età! L'OH, il disonore!" Vulpe threw her hands up. "Ma sono un buon ladro che dovete ammettere, madre."

"Cosa impertinent. Il vostro angelo gaurdian deve piangere sopra voi." Anna Maria watched her wild daughter indulgently. "If you ever want to come to Italy, we would be honoured to have you in our home. The offer is always open." Anna Maria smiled at Mouse.

"Si. Is least we can do." Stefano nodded. "And if there is any need of our...specialised services..."

"You have only to ask." Vulpe rubbed Fafnir's head, sly amusement sparkling in her red eyes.

Isaac and Zac

Zac cracked his knucles.

"Zac," Isaac began.

"What?"

"Why do you have to do that?"

"Because."

"I see," Isaac shook his head. "So, are you guys coming to the concert?"

Vulpe and Mouse

Stefano shook his head. "No. I have to get back to work." Vulpe turned imploring eyes on him. "Colloquio alla vostra madre," he shifted the responsibilty of talking to his daughter onto his wife. Anan Maria gave him a steady stare.

"È di destra, noi deve andare stasera di nuovo all'Italia." Anna Maria shrugged fluidly. "Ci sono cose che devono fare. Vendetta. Per uno."

"Quella media io ottiene uccidere la gente?" Vulpe inquired.

"Non ancora. Ma presto, cara, presto." Stefano smiled coldly. "Nessun tocchi la mia famiglia senza pagamento nell'anima." He turned backt to Mouse and the Hansons. "It has been a pleasure to meet you all. But we must get going."

"Our flight, you see." Anna Maria hugged Mouse, and Vulpe held her hand tightly for a moment. "Pietro gets impatient."

"Come see me in Italy! We'll fly you out," Vulpe told Mouse. "It'll be fun, raggazza. Italia is beautiful."

"I don't know, have to see." Mouse smiled hesitantly.

"When the bambinos are born, we will definetely come visit." Anna Maria smiled serenely. "Or for the wedding. Which ever comes first."
