Gwen and Paige
Gwen snatched up her phone hastily and dialled in the Halliwell's number. She h ad to leave this place, because she honestly was driving herself insane, knowing that Mordred and her were still in the same country.
"Hello?"
"Hi, it's Gwen... Faith's friend, is, uh, Paige there?"
"This is she. Hiya!" Paige said chirpily.
"Paige, I need a favour."
"Hmm, ok, I spose so. What's up?"
"I need you to orb me into Australia. If that's - "
"Why does everyone need to go to Australia? Anyway, yeah, sure, it's cool. When?" Paige interrupted.
"Now?"
"Mmkay, I can do that. Be there in a flash."
"I'm at... nevermind," Gwen finished as Paige orbed into the room.
"Hi," Paige grinned. "You ready?"
Gwen smiled and hung the phone up, then grabbed her bags and took Paige's hand. "Yep."
"Cool." Paige orbed them out of the US and into Australia.
"Where abouts are we?" Gwen asked.
"Sydney Central Business District. Well, actually to be exact, we're in a toilet cubicle."
"Thanks."
"No problem. But if you don't mind me asking..."
"Uh... I needed a break."
"I see. Well, stay safe. Call if you need anything." Paige waved and orbed out again, leaving Gwen alone with her bags in the toilet. She opened the door and walked out, thanking her lucky stars no one else was in there. She left the toilet and looked around. She appeared to be in a train station, with people rushing around. She walked up to a station guard.
"Hi, can you tell me where I am?" Gwen asked politely.
"Central Station."
"Oh, cool. Um... are there any hotels around here, or anything? How do I get out of here?"
"That way," he said, indicating to his left. "Is QVB, Queen Victoria Building. There are hotels all over the city."
"Um... is there any kind of smaller surburban area around here?"
"You can catch a train. I'd recommend Cronulla. I live there myself, and it's a nice place, there's a beach, movies, shops, and a Rydges Hotel."
"Oh... how would... um..."
"Not a local?"
"You guessed from the accent?"
"Yeah, and all the questions. Here, follow me."
The guard led her to a ticket machine and pressed in the buttons for her. "I'd say concession, single, cronulla. $2.50."
Gwen nodded and reached into one of her bags. She carried all different types of currency in case her job required her to go out of the country. She found the Australian section and counted out the change and handed it to him.
He handed her the ticket. "And you just go down there... the train will take you all the way, and Cronulla is the last on the line, so you don't have to worry about missing your stop."
"Thank you," Gwen said, picking up her bags and heading off to catch the train. She ran down the steps and boarded, collapsing into a seat and staring out the window as the train took her to Cronulla.
An hour and a half later, she was there. Gwen got up and stepped off the train. She headed out of the station and looked around. Nice place. She headed through the Plaza and looked at a bunch of shops, then asked the nearest person where the hotel was. She was told, and she found it, checked in and went to her room. She dumped her things on the ground and lay on the bed.
Hopefully she'd be able to forget here.
