Taylor
Taylor made his way into the small performance area of the Recher Theatre to meet his brothers.
"Hey guys," he greeted them, "did you hear some of those fans have been here since 2am? It's crazy out there."
Isaac and Zac
Zac beamed.
"See? I haven't lost my touch."
Isaac shook his head.
"Zac?"
"Yes?"
"Nevermind."
Zac grinned.
Taylor
Taylor chuckled.
"Let's get these instruments sorted. Have they brought the piano in yet? Or am I still waiting?"
Zac and Isaac
"Yeah, it's right there," Isaac pointed across the stage.
"It's so big and brown," Zac teased.
Isaac headed onto the stage and starting tuning his guitar.
Taylor
"Right," Taylor pulled a face as he rubbed his hands together.
"Yeah, you and your small instruments. Excuse me."
He left Zac to go and try out the keys. Everything seemed to be in order, so he went to check the keyboard.
Isaac and Zac
"You're just jealous that I play the tamborine so much better than you," Zac retorted.
Isaac snickered.
"Once upon a time, Zac was this little runt behind a huge drum kit. Now he's an enormous guy behind a couple of little instruments," Isaac paused and looked at Tay. "Do you thing he was compensating for something a few years ago?"
Taylor
"Yeah. And Zac? You've always been jealous that I could play keyboard better than you. And don't give me the drum talk. Who plays the drums on 'I Want You To Want Me'? I believe that would be me."
He chuckled as he stopped playing, glad everything was in order.
"I'd love to see you try harmonica actually," he looked to Ike with a grin, "now that would be a novel experience. Like the trumpet in the studio. 'Hide the trumpet!'"
Zac and Isaac
"My trumpet!" Zac exclaimed. "You people have no appreciation of good music."
"Uh huh," Isaac replied.
"It's true."
"Really?"
"Yes."
"Then why are you in a band with us?"
"Umm, slave labour?"
Taylor
"'Good music'?" Taylor pulled a face.
"Zac, you and a trumpet... 'your' trumpet shall we say... are not good music."
He laughed, looking at Ike again.
"More like an elephant with something shoved up it's ass."
Mouse
Mouse wandered onto the side of the stage and smiled as she watched them set up and do a soundcheck. So far the tour thing had been interesting...she was waiting for the magazines though.
Isaac and Zac
"What is the something that's shoved up the elephant's ass?" Zac asked.
"Umm, a trumpet?" Isaac suggested.
Zac poked his tongue out at Isaac before getting on the floor and adjusting one of the drum skins. Isaac shook his head, grinning at Taylor, and continued his tuning.
Mouse
Mouse just shook her head, smiling and then went to go find Natalia. She didn't like to leave the girl on her own too long. But seriously? Those guys needed to grow up, just a bit.
Taylor
Taylor caught sight of his girlfriend leaving the room, and sighed.
He finished tuning the guitar he was holding, and set it down on the rack with the rest.
"Hey, where'd that frisbee go?" he grinned, looking around.
Zac and Isaac
"Umm..." Isaac said.
"I told you," Zac put in, "we shoulda got a boomerang last time we were in Australia... they come back."
He snickered at his joke. Isaac shook his head.
"I think it's backstage somewhere."
Taylor
Taylor headed backstage and looked around. He finally saw it sitting inside an open guitar case.
Shaking his head, he grabbed it and headed back out.
"I'll be back in a moment," he grinned, before heading outside.
He looked up to where a herd of fans were standing on the other side of a fence. Someone spotted him, and suddenly a lot of eyes were on him.
He began to tease them, pretending to throw the frisbee. This accumulated a lot of yelling, so he finally threw it.
Just as a police car was driving past. It hit.
Taylor's hand flew to his mouth as the car skidded to a stop, then rushed back inside.
"Guys!" he exclaimed, trying to wipe the grin off his face.
"If the cops come in, it wasn't me, ok?"
Isaac and Zac
Isaac raised an eyebrow.
"What did you do?" Zac asked, his eyes glittering.
Taylor
"I kinda threw the frisbee just as their car was coming past," Taylor chuckled.
"It hit them and they hit the brakes. I didn't stick around to see if they were gonna keep driving or not."
Isaac and Zac
Zac snickered.
"Well, I'm done," Isaac said, checking his watch. "Hmm... time for the intreview. And then the meet and greet."
"And our first interview with the Hanson net reporter," Zac grinned. "Yay."
"Unless of course, they decide to ask us what colour our toothbrushes are."
Taylor and Ash G
"Cool," Taylor grinned, "so where do we go?"
"Hey guys!" came Ashley's voice as he walked up behind them, "the Hanson net reporter's here. You ready?"
Isaac and Zac
"Is someone getting a little ahead of himself?" Isaac teased. "We have that magazine one first."
Zac grinned. They did the interview and then got ready for the meet and greet, and the interview with the Hanson net reporter, which would be done after.
"Ahh... and the trouble starts," Zac said as the door opened.
Taylor
Taylor grinned as the fans entered the room, and a couple began to freak out.
"I guess this is someone's first time," he said under his breath.
He glanced at his brothers, then went to shake a girl's hand.
Isaac and Zac
Isaac and Zac were soon also caught up in the whirlwind of chatting with the fans. Before long, all but one fan departed. The Hanson net reporter.
"Let us know if we talk too fast for you," Isaac said.
"Okay," she smiled. "Umm... okay first one, what do you think of fans who go to multiple shows?"
"We really appreciate it," Isaac replied.
"We went to two stops on the last U2 tour ourselves," Zac added.
"Cool. Umm..." she jotted down her notes and asked the next question: "Will we ever hear finished version of Never Let Go or Bridges of Stone?"
Taylor
"We may," Taylor grinned.
"Umm... Which location are you most looking forward to?"
"Well we're just happy to be on the road."
"Southeast?"
Isaac and Zac
"We are hoping to get over to Japan, Australia, and the UK," Isaac began.
"This is conflicting with what we wanted to do in the Southeast and nothing has been confirmed for any of these places yet," Zac added.
"Do you think you have to work harder due to the fact that you started your career in the teen idol market?"
Taylor
"Well, you always have to work hard to get your message out. So, no," Taylor shrugged.
"WHat do you think of people who camp out all night before shows?"
Isaac and Zac
"We appreciate the enthusiasm," Isaac replied with an amused smile on his face.
"Would you sign with the Eagles inde pendent label?"
"Actually," Zac answered, "we have our own label, 3CG records (3 Car Garage)."
"Did you meet the president this morning?"
Taylor
"Actually we met Tom Ridge and got a tour of the White House. We did actually meet president Clinton, though when we did Christmas in Washington back in `97," Taylor amended.
Isaac and Zac
"And on that note, we have to finish up," Isaac said. "We need to get the last minute stuff done before the concert."
"Yeah. Hope you enjoy it," Zac said.
"Thanks. I'm sure I will."
Taylor
The girl left, and the guys finally made their way backstage.
"Good luck guys, and have fun!" Ashley grinned, shaking each of their hands.
"We will," Taylor nodded with a grin, before heading onstage.
He cringed a little when the screams hit his ears.
Isaac and Zac
Zac made eye contact with a few fans and smiled at them before taking his place.
They then proceeded to play their music, intereacting with the crowd between songs. Their song list included "Strong Enough to Break", "River", "Deeper", "If Only", "Rock n Roll Razor Blade", "When You're Gone", "Underneath", "Crazy Beautiful", "Penny and Me", "Misery", "Hey", "This Time Around" and "MMMBop".
