6 August 2003 - D-Day.

Joy, Michelle and Tegan

Kitty and Willow

It was that time. All of the hackers had gathered in the computer center on the spay-stay to try and stop Skynet. Hunter, Carmen, Kitty, Willow, Sabre, Forge, and Doug joined several other hackers at midnight, to get started. Tony threw a fit at Hunter and Carmen joining the group, but Willow pushed him back in his chair and told him to stuff it.

"We need all the help we can get," she reminded him. They worked for hours. Finally, a little after 6 pm, the first bomb was launched.

"Oh no!" Carmen cried. "The first bomb's been launched. It's headed toward central Kansas."

Hunter

"Well, stop them before they send out any more..." Hunter barely hissed, concentrating on the computer.

His mind spurred through the computer system. He loved putting his mind into the computer, and would be thoroughly enjoying this, if it weren't so serious.

Searching... searching...

Willow

Willow held her hands over the keyboard. The information in the computer passing through her mind. "Okay, okay, I can do this, I can do this," she told herself quietly. "Oh! I got the disarming codes for the rest of the bombs!" she cried out. And she turned them off. "But we still need to STOP them!"

"or

Sabre

Sabre snarled in frustration. "At least there ain't much there! If it's th' only one to get loose, we can count our blessings." His fingers raced over the keyboard, and his shoulders were hunched as he sought to stop any more bombs from falling. "The ones for London are offline! C'mon, ye sorry piece of equipment..." Sabre alternatively cursed and prayed as he hacked his way through Skynet and disabled its control over the bombs.

Hunter

Hunter whirled through the system shutting down as much as he could. He shouted out what he disabled as he went, all the while trying to find a way to defeat the root of it all.

Willow

"Okay, okay," Willow said. "I think we've got it. Skynet is still sentient, but it is no longer armed. Kansas, however, is in ruins. The bomb destroyed Topeka and Kansas City, and everything in between. Including Smallville, Grandville, and Metroplis." Willow hissed. "SOmebody's gotta call Clark."

Sabre

Sabre yelped, then his fingers flew faster. "Back up systems are coming on line!" After a few moments of frantic tapping on his keyboard, he sat back with a sigh. "Now, they're out." He looked up dazedly. "Is that it? Are all the teeth pulled on this nasty?"

Hunter

"I... I think so..." said another technokinetic in the room.

Hunter drew his mind out slowly. He was feeling very, very tired. It had been intense work.

Sabre

Sabre rested his head on his hands and closed his eyes. "I think we're done. Can I go get drunk now? I have a very pressing need to go get absolutely shitfaced."

Willow

"I hear ya, Sabby," Willow said. "And I think these younger ones," she gestured to Hunter, Kitty and Carmen, "Need to get some sleep. Let's go get drunk. Ooooh, wanna go to the World Without Shrimp?" She asked him.

Sabre

"No. I think I want to find Dru, get out the Lochinvarr and other really expensive stuff I brought up, and drink myself stupid. Well, stupider. And watch the earth which isn't being destroyed through a porthole somewhere." Sabre tried for a grin and failed miserably.

Willow

"Can I be joining you?" Wil.low asked, iccocently, as if she didn't have the hidden agenda of wanting to be in a very naughty threesome.

Sabre

Sabre grinned. Oh, this would be fun. He could smell the arousal pouring off her from where she was sitting down. The other people around them wouldn't have a clu what was going on. "Sure, lovely. I think I brought some absinthe up...I'll grab some glasses and a thing of sugar from the canteen or summat, and we can watch the world we saved. Not bad, eh?"

Willow

"Sounds good to me. Can you keep Dru from trying to go out to the stars?" She asked, giggling.

Sabre

"I've managed so far, haven't I lovely?" Sabre got out of his chair, stretching before going over to Willow. "C'mon, theres some bottles with our names on 'em waiting for us."

Willow

"Mmmm, sounds like heaven," Will said, as she stretched, tired from sitting there for so long, and followed Sabre to his and Dru's room.

"Um, I wonder who should have the honor of telling Clark?" she asked, her face darkening.

Sabre

"I'll tell Nyx, she can tell Xavier, and the mindwalker can tell the electroboy." Sabre shrugged it off, looking forward to getting very drunk. "Xavier can tell if he's gonna try and off himself." He started to dig through the cupboard he had stashed his stuff in. "Ah." He pulled out the Lochinvarr and placed it on the bed behind him before diving back inside.
