31 July 2003 - Doing The Right Thing

Kate and Faith

Kate groaned as she knocked on Faith's door. Faith answered it straight away, looking unimpressed.

"You," Faith said, her tone deadly calm. "Did something to my mind. Fix it. Now."

Kate nodded. "Look, I... I didn't think that would happen, how the hell was I supposed to know you'd turn out to be a raving loony."

Faith smiled sweetly. "You'll fix it now, or I'll become the raving loony and kill you."

"Fine, fine, whatever." Kate rolled her eyes and stated searching through Faith's mind. She patched up the floodgate she'd opened in the first place, and let her prescence wander out. "It's done. Happy?"

"Happier. Now go."

"You can't just expect me to do you a favour then tell me to leave! How rude do you wanna - " Kate was cut short by Faith punching her. Hard.

"I'll be as rude as I want, and I think under the circumstances, you are in no position to tell me what to do. Bye now." Faith closed the door and went into her gym to train.

Kate winced as she touched her jaw. She rubbed it gently, then hitched her bag on her back and headed out to find a cab to get back to New York.
