Faith

Faith lay on her bed, her body aching from the previous days work. She reached for her phone and dialled Zac's number and listened to it ring, then heard him pick up.

"Zac, it's me."

Zac

"Faithy!" Zac greeted happily. "Hey, I missed you. You done saving the world yet?"

Faith

Faith smiled.

"I missed you too... and much to tell you. But the short version? Yes, it's done. So you want to come over? I've left my door unlocked."

Zac

"I'll be right there."

They hung up and soon Zac was at Faith place. He walked through the open door.

"I'm a burgular!" He exclaimed, with a grin. "And I've come to steal your heart... again."

He laughed.

Faith

Faith smiled as she looked up at Zac.

"Hey."

She stood up and gingerly hobbled over and kissed him.

"You never gave my heart back, so you can hardly steal it again."

Zac

"Rats. There goes that plan."

Zac kissed her back, then regarded her in concern.

"You've been hurt?"

Faith

Faith shrugged his concern off with a little smile.

"A sprained ankle, a little stabbing, it's all good. Nothing as drastic as I expected."

Zac

Zac touched her face gently.

"Want me to kiss it better?" he asked with a twinkle in his eye.

Faith

Faith grinned cheekily.

"Well," she began, licking her lips. "I think I was actually injured more than I originally thought..."

Zac

"Aww, Faithy," Zac sighed, continuing the game. "I hope the saving the world was worth all the damaged it's caused you."

He picked her up and laid her down on the lounge. Then he kissed her ankle.

"Or was it the other one? Hmm... I'll kiss them both."

So he kissed the second one.

"Now, where else is sore?" he asked slyly.

Faith

Faith gave an exaggerated sigh.

"I'm just sore everywhere."

She lifted her head and smiled innocently at him.

"You'll have to kiss everywhere."

Zac

"You should take better care of yourself," Zac replied with authority.

And then he proceeded to kiss Faith, up, down and all over her body.

Faith

Faith smiled and brought Zac's face up to meet hers. She kissed him and pulled him on top of her, wrapping her arms around his neck.

"Mm, I missed you," she murmured.

Zac

Zac nuzzled her neck.

"Not nearly as much as I missed you," he replied softly.

He started kissing Faith's neck.

Faith

Faith ran her hands up and down Zac's spine, enjoying the feeling of him kissing her neck.

"It feels like I was gone much longer..." she whispered, remembering her time in Australia.

Zac

"You were gone forever," Zac murmered.

Then he pulled up and gazed down at her, a frown on his face.

"What... what happens when we go on tour?"

Faith

Faith sighed.

"I don't know... I can't bear the thought of being away from you for so long... but I don't know if it's the best thing for me to go with you. Especially if your mom ends up going."

Zac

Zac sighed and started playing with Faith's hair.

"I don't want us to be apart for so long either," he replied. "I want you to come with us so much."

One finger traced her jawline.

Faith

Faith closed her eyes for a second, thinking.

"I want to go too... but I guess, Paige could just orb me over at some point."

She sighed, and shifted her weight on the couch, one hand instinctively reaching for her stomach. She moved it back up and rubbed Zac's chin softly.

Zac

"Oh, I'm sorry," Zac said. "You're still sore huh?"

He got off Faith and touched her forehead, then he scooped her up in his arms and started carrying her up the stairs to her bedroom.

Faith

Faith smiled as she was placed on her bed.

"Kinda sore."

She lifted her shirt to show him the scar from the sword stabbing through her stomach.

"But it's all good."

Zac

"Ouch!" Zac winced. "I think that requires a lot more kissing."

Zac started kissing her stomach.

Faith

Faith giggled, then sobered at the memory.

"A girl died... it was... the whole thing was really bad."

Zac

Zac met her eyes, then climbed up on the bed next to her.

"Saving the world can't be an easy job. I'm sorry she died. Did you know her well?"

Faith

"Not really... I met her the second night I was there. She was like a mini Watcher."

Faith sighed.

"Unfortunately that's the fact of war. There are casualties... it was just, I don't know."

She looked away.

"And I almost didn't come back, and Xander was a mess, and... I figured I was going to die in there, but all of a sudden, it felt like that was what I had to do, and I wasn't scared about it. It's weird, but I realised then that it was my duty to die to save the world. And I'd never understood that before."

Zac

"Hmm..." Zac murmered. "I guess it's part of that change thing that happens. Becomes instinctual."

Faith

Faith nodded.

"Well, Paige orbed in and helped me out."

Zac

"Ahh. Always nice to have a friend who's a teleporter," Zac grinned.

He kissed Faith again, then brushed her hair out of her face.

"You are so beautiful, you know that?"

Faith

Faith grinned and kissed Zac back.

"Well, you're not so bad yourself."

She raised an eyebrow suggestively.

"You know... I'm not feeling all that sore anymore..."

Zac

Zac's eyes glittered and he kissed Faith deeply.

Guess.

The Zac said a reluctant farewell, and went home.
