Isaac
Isaac pulled up at Chrissy's house. He took a moment to take a breath and then headed to the door, a bunch of flowers in his hand.
He paused at the door, and then rang the bell.
Chrissy
Chrissy zipped up her boots and grabbed her bag and went to answer the door.
"Hey," she greeted shyly.
Isaac
Isaac, naturally, gave Chrissy the once over. He liked what he saw.
"Hey... you ready to go?" He asked.
Then he remembered the flowers.
"Oh, before I forget," he grinned, handing them to her.
Chrissy
Chrissy took the flowers and quickly put them in water, then came back out to Ike.
c the "Yep, all ready."
Isaac
"Great," Isaac replied.
He linked arms with Chrissy and lead her down to the car. Then he opened up the front passanger door for her and waited for her to get in, before getting into the drivers seat and driving to the bistro he thought would be the best place for dinner.
Chrissy
They arrived at the bistro and Chrissy hopped out of the car, adjusting her jacket slightly.
"Nice place," she commented.
Isaac
"I think so," Isaac agreed.
After locating a table, Isaac held out the chair for her and than sat down on another. Isaac looked at the menu.
"What would you like?" he asked.
Chrissy
Chrissy scanned the menu just as the waiter came over. They both ordered.
She picked up a glass of water and sipped at it delicately.
"So... what have you been up to lately?"
Isaac
"Well," Isaac said. "The other week, Tay and Zac and I had a recording session for this acoustic CD. We're going to release it on our own label - 3CG Records. It stands for Three Car Garage. Which was also the name of an album we put out a few years ago for the fans with some of our older songs on it. We're getting ready for a tour too, which is good, because my fingers are getting itchy."
Then he smiled.
"But you probably weren't interested in all that huh? HOw about you? What does your life entail?"
Chrissy
Chrissy smiled at Isaac and let out a short laugh.
"Well, Madison and I moved here in February. We're half sisters, I don't know if I told you that already, but yeah. Um... that's basically it. Not a whole lot to tell, really."
"Well, apart from the whole family dying thing... but that's too depressing for a first date. Or... ever," she added silently.
Isaac
Isaac nodded.
"Cool," he replied. "So umm..."
He tried to think of something else to talk about.
"You studying anything? Or just working at P3?"
Chrissy
"Just working at P3. There didn't seem to be a point starting to study anything, because Madison and I were constantly moving from place to place."
Chrissy took another sip of her water.
"What about you? Studying anything?"
Isaac
"Mmm... on paper, no. But I'm always reading up on stuff. Usually music related," Isaac replied.
Their food arrived and Isaac said grace before tucking in.
Chrissy
Chrissy smiled and started to eat once Isaac was done.
They chatted over dinner and soon they were finished eating and were heading out of the bistro.
"So where to?"
Isaac
"Well," Isaac replied as they walked to the car park. "Did you still want to see a movie?"
He held the car door open for her again.
Chrissy
"Yeah, that sounds good."
Chrissy hopped into the car and waited for Isaac. They arrived at the movies and she hopped out.
Isaac
They entered the cinema and started look at the movies that were due to start. After some hemming and hawing, they picked one and then raided the candy bar. It was going to be twenty minutes before it started, and they had to wait because another movie was still playing, so thye sat down at a table to wait.
Isaac felt awkward. He hated first dates.
Chrissy
Chrissy nervously fiddled with the straw on her drink.
"So..." she paused and looked around for a second, then returned her attention to Isaac.
"I hate first dates, it always makes me feel... weird."
Isaac
Isaac stared at her for a second, than laughed.
"I was just thinking the same thing," he grinned. "How about we call the dinner the first date, and this movie is now offically the second date, and therefore it can't be awkward any more."
Chrissy
Chrissy giggled. "Agreed."
She took another look around. "Ok, I'm feeling a little more relaxed now. So, tell me about you."
Isaac
"Ha, I was about to ask you the same question, okay..." Isaac grinned. "Hmm, well, I have six younger siblings. And of course, as you know I'm in Hanson, blah, blah, blah. Let me see... oh, I'm a telekinetic. Full blooded Dath. What about you?"
Chrissy
Chrissy smiled.
"Well, let's see. I'm a Dath/Human hybrid. Um, half sister, which you already know... I'm, hmm, I guess you'd call me an illusionist. I can cast illusions over... well anything, I guess."
Isaac
"Cool," Isaac replied.
He paused, trying to figure out what else to say.
"Be nice to dragons, for you are crunchy and go well with ketchup," was all he could think of.
Chrissy
Chrissy giggled.
"I'd like to think that I'd go better with barbeque sauce. After all, it's tastier than ketchup and therefore would enhance my natual human flavour. You might go well with ketchup, but I, I don't believe I would."
Isaac
"Ahh, yes I see your point," Isaac said thoughtfully, sitting back in his chair. "But I suppose that would depend on the dragon, wouldn't it? I mean, the dragon might this that ketchup is nicer. On the other hand, maybe the dragon prefers raw meat. Or maybe it likes mustard."
Chrissy
"Well that would be a whole new ballgame, wouldn't it? I mean, you do have a larger range of mustards than you do ketchup. I mean there's spicey mustard, the mustard with the little seed things in it, the English mustard, and the list basically goes on."
Chrissy pushed her hair out of her eyes. "So it would depend on the dragon entirely. Although... I'm still sure that I would taste better with barbeque sauce. Nothing will convince me otherwise."
Isaac
"And of course, these always soy sause and mint sause and all these other sauses," Isaac agreed. "But yeah. If you're a barbeque sause girl, then be proud."
Isaac checked his watch, seeing people come out of the cinema.
"I believe we can go in now," he said.
Chrissy
"I'm very proud."
Chrissy smiled and nodded and they got up and started to head in. They selected some seats after more deliberation and sat down.
Isaac
Isaac settled himself in his seat and soon the ads and trailers were over and the movie began. Isaac held the popcorn between them and occasionally their hands brushed together as they reached for some.
Chrissy
The movie ended and Chrissy and Ike walked out of the cinema together, and Chrissy felt much more relaxed.
"That was fun," she commented as they headed for the car.
Isaac
"Yes, yes it was," Isaac agreed.
As usual, he held the door open for her to get in before getting in himself, and started on back to Chrissy's house.
"So uhh... did you... would you like to go on a third date with me some time?" Isaac asked nervously.
Chrissy
Chrissy looked over at Isaac and smiled. "Yeah, I'd like that."
They arrived at Chrissy's house and she got out of the car and put her jacket on again.
Isaac
Isaac got out of the car as well and walked her to the door.
"Well, I guess I'll talk to you later then," Isaac said. "Have a good night."
He decided not to kiss her. Might be a bit much for their first - err, second - date.
Chrissy
Chrissy smiled. "You too... thanks for tonight. Night."
She opened her door and went in with a final wave.
Isaac
"Bye," Isaac replied.
He walked back to the car, and drove home. All in all, he thought the night went pretty well.
