Mouse

Mouse was lying on her bed in a heap of canine fur as Fafnir and Bets panted next to her head. She was dozing slightly, then sat up as she felt a new set of emotions enter the room. Two new sets. A black cat with a golden hoop earring blinked at her placidly while a tall slender man with intelligent sharp features stood next to her, looking at the mortal girl thoughtfully. His closecropped black curls were almost hidden under his broadbrimmed hat, and he carried a staff in his hand that was...hissing at her?

"This is her?"

"I can understand you, you know," Mouse said frostily. Fafnir and Bets growled low in their throats. "Calm down, guys. Goddess, remember."

Quite, sweetling. Bastet yawned. So many important things hinge on your babies. I don't trust this realm.

"And this has to do with me what?" The Mouse's mind caught up with the implications. She went white. "You...you sick manipulative scheming cat! You set this up! You, you made this happen to me!" Fafnir and Bets snarled.

Bastet looked unimpressed. There are more things at stake then you realise. They are nessacary.

"You EVIL disgusting creature!"

"Truly, you need to learn some manners," the man commented as he tapped the butt of the staff thoughtfully against the floor. He looked at Bastet. "We're supposed to look after this brat?"

"YOU WHAT?!" Mouse yelped. "The HELL I'm going anywhere."

You know, this really isn't dignified. Bastet said. You really don't have a choice.

"You can just KISS MY ASS! I'm not going anywhere, you scheming meddling bitch!" Mouse screamed. The abbeis woke up and started babbling.

^^^WHATWHATWHATWHAT?!^^^

"Great, now you've gone and done it!"

"Ah, the children." A pleased smile curved his lips. "Yes, Bastet, I think your plan will work."

My plans always work. Bastet licked an invisible speck of dust from her fur.

"Well, I'll get going then." He tapped his heels together lightly and Mouse's eyes widened. Winged. Winged shoes and a staff with two snakes coiled about it. Oh, *merde*. She jumped off the bed and scrambled for the door.

Bother. Catch her, Hermes, please?

"Anything for you, Bastet." He stroked her head and then took off after the two wolves. He touched Mouse's shoulder and a frightened scream hung in the air for a moment as she disappeared with him to Olympus. The two canines started to howl, baying death threats and wailing for Taylor. Bastet winked out.

Jessica

Jess was dreamwalking, when she felt and heard something to snap her back into reality. Bets and Fafnir were howling quite loudly. She hesitantly went into Mouse's room, only to find the girl not there.

"Tay!" she shouted, as she sat on the bed and tried to calm Bets down by petting her gently. She was still afraid of Faf.

Avery

Avery yawned as she came into Taylor's room.

"What's with the noise? People are trying to sleep."

Jessica

"Mouse is gone, and Bets and Faf are going crazy!" Jess said, upset.

Avery

"Oh."

Avery nodded and turned to leave when the news actually sunk in.

"OH!"

She turned back around again. "MOM! DAD!"

Fafnir and Bets

TAYLOR! Bets howled.

I'M GOING TO KILL THAT CAT! PAAAAAACCCKKK! Fafnir wailed.
