15 July 2003 - Taunting A Twin

Ashley O, Bobby and Kate

Ashley and Bobby sat on a bench a little way from the mansion. Ashley lay her head on Bobby's shoulder, their fingers entwined together.

"So Mary-Kate really hasn't called or anything?" Bobby asked, and kissed Ashley's head.

"No. She doesn't respond to me telepathically... she won't answer my calls. From what Piper has said, she's changed since she started hanging out with Kate."

"Kate?"

"That would be me. It's kinda rude to talk about people behind their backs you know." Kate grinned as she appeared from behind a bush.

"It's also rude to eavesdrop," Ashley shot back.

"Ooh, blondie is trying to pick a fight?" Kate asked.

"Just leave us alone, Kate." Bobby sighed.

"Nah. Don't feel like it. Anyway, Ashley and I might be able to get along, after all, Mary-Kate liked me straight off."

Ashley sat up straight. "Is she alright?"

"So you've started caring about your twin again, have you?" Kate asked, raising one eyebrow.

"I never stopped caring. How is she?"

"She's mighty angry at you, my dear. If she could stop being a twin, she would."

Ashley's eyes filled with tears. "But... I..."

"You what? You betrayed her, my dear. And she's not likely to be forgetting that any time soon."

"Kate, I think you should leave," Bobby warned.

Kate rolled her eyes. "Why so you can talk about me? Here," she turned around so her back was to them. "There, my back's turned. Go for it." She made a fireball in her hand and turned quickly and threw it at them.

Bobby raised his arm quickly and froze the fireball before it hit them. It fell to the ground and smashed.

Kate frowned. "Damn, good reflexes. Anyway, Ashley, I do have a message from Maz."

"What?" Ashley sat forward eagerly.

Kate threw another fireball at them, just narrowly missing Ashley's head. "Stay away from her."

"She didn't say that! She never would!" Ashley exclaimed.

"Looks like you don't know her anymore. See ya, losers." Kate gave a wave and sauntered off, giggling. Her work was done.

Ashley felt her tears falling and she hugged Bobby. "I've got to go find her again."

Bobby nodded. "I understand."

They kissed. "I will be back though, I promise." Ashley kissed him again and got up to leave. She gave a timid wave and headed off.

Bobby put his head into his hands. First Gwen had gone, and now Ashley.
