7 July 2003 - And the Shaman & the Talisman enter

X-men - Trev

Dani & Forge stood in the hall, watching Mr Twoyoungmen & his daughter, Elizabeth entered the main door of Xaviers. Dani looked at them impressed by the look of them. They were dressed in casual gear & looked like avergae people. You wouldn't know that they were two of the most important people in the world when it came to mystics.

Elizabeth walked up to Forge & Dani. She nodded at Forge & walked up to Dani.

"Hello. I'm Elizabeth. You must be Dani." she said, offering her hand. Dani accepted.

"Yeah. I'm Dani. Nice to meet you Elizabeth." Dani smiled, & then looked down at their hands. Her hand was tingling, like she had pins & needles. "What is that?" she asked outloud.

"That's me." Elizabeth said, letting go of Dani. "My power is to dispell magic. You must have some running through your veins" she said confidently.

Dani laughed. "Oh I doubt that!"

"No!" Elizabeth said with a sterm look on her face "You do. It is in your blood. Never deny your heritage!"

Dani just nodded & then looked at the man standing next to Elizabeth. Elizabeth turned to him & said, "Dani, this is my father, Michael. But you can call him Shaman!"

Shaman

"Hello," Shaman said quietly as he also took Dani's hands. "My daughter is seldom wrong about these things. Yes. You are right, Elizabeth." He let go of Dani's hands and raised his head. "There is much magic here. Surrounding it in wards of protection and of peace. But I would say you have no seen much of that," he finished sadly.

X-men - Trev

Elizabeth turned to her father & said to him in a concerned tone "We need to go speak in private. The four of us. Now."

Forge could see why she had said this. They could not talk about the Bear around the children. To know of it could only bring them harm.

"Follow me" Forge stated & led the group down the hall, towards his private room. On the way there, he passed by Ororo Munroe, one of his collegues.

"Hello Ororo" he said with a nod as he walked past her.

"Forge? Aren't you going to introduce me to our visitors?" she asked, stopping as he walked away from her. Forge stopped & turned to look at her.

"I will later."

With that he turned & started walking again, as Dani looked back at the teacher confused.

"A little sexual tension there don't ya think?" Eliazbeth whispered into Dani's ear.

Dani turned to look at Elizabeth confused but then walked into Shaman.

"Oh! I'm so sorry Sir!" she said & then quickly walked into Forges office. The four of them sat down at the table in the middle of the room, filled with papers & machines & more of Forges mess.

Shaman

Shaman cleaned a space for himself to sit down. "Now. Where should we begin?" His eyes were filled with a sad sort of ageless wisdom. "The Spirit Bear is something that you will be unable to fight. It is an old and powerful being."

Dani, Forge and Elizabeth

Dani started to get nervous. She was worried that what she would soon be told about this Demon Bear would be things she didn't want to hear. About how indestructable it was, or how powerful. She was scared.

"Dani..." Forge started, taking in a deep breath, "The Demon Bear is an ancient being of darkness that plagued our ancestors for many centuries. Then finally it was trapped in a void by a group of powerful Shaman's. The void was supposed to trap it forever. It is said that the Demon Bear, if it ever escaped, would kill any living ancestor of the Shaman's that trapped it."

"What's this got to do with me?" Dani said, interupting Forge.

"You, Dani, are one of the ancestors. You have to be if you are having visions of it's return." Elizabeth said calmly.

"Oh" Dani said, trying to take in what she had just been told.

"I did some research on the way down here & it seems that there are only two of the bloodlines left. Yours, & another. But, thw two bloodlines have intertwined, resulting in you. The Bear is now close enough to return to our world." Elizabeth said, once again calmly, erking Dani.

"Wait a sec...your telling me that I'm the only ancestor?" Dani said, shocked & scared

"No. There's also your mother & father & grandfather." Forge said.

"Oh...okay." Dani said. She turned back to Elizabeth, nodding for her to continue.

"Dani, the shields that hold the Bear out of our world is wearing dangerously thin. The creature is pure evil. Even in it's exile, it can still spread it's evil. It may not be physically in our world, but it is spiritally. It is in every murder committed. Every selfish act. I have a feeling it will soon return." Elizabeth said, sounding concerned.

Forge stood up & headed towards his bedside table & grabbed two pairs or keys.

"Shaman & Elizabeth have agreed to stay here & help train you with not only your powers but your mystic abilities as well, in the case of the Bear ever escaping." Forge said & passed one set to Shaman, the other to Elizabeth. "Go have a rest now Dani. Take all this in."

Shaman

"Sometimes it is hard to suddenly be involved in things you have regarded as pure suprestition for most of your life," Shaman said reassuringly. "I am certain that you will be able to use his new side of yourself to your advantage. We can deal with the Bear." He smiled slightly.

Dani, Elizabeth and Forge

Dani just smiled & left the room, leaving Elizabeth, Forge & Shaman to talk amongst themselves.

"She seems to be taking it well" Forge said, looking at the dorr Dani just exited through.

"Not so" Elizabeth replied, "She is couragous & very good at hiding her fears. Luckily for her & maybe even the world, she is strong."

Shaman

"She will be fine." Shaman smiled slightly. "I can feel it."
