Angelica wasn't allowed anywhere near Rusty as his power's started to rage out of control again, leading to his being isolated. The heat generated by him was so intense that even Peter couldn't go near him. Rusty ended up having to be made to go to sleep telepathically.
Angelica went to see him the next morning. His power's had gone quiet for a while so she took the oppurtunity to go find out what happened.
She walked in the room to find him lying on the floor, curled up. She looked at Peter, who escorted her, is disgust & he said "He burnt his bed."
Angelica walked over to him & whispered into his ear "Rusty...wake up...It's Angelica."
Rusty pulled up his head weakly & looked at her.
"Hey" he said in a small & weak voice.
Angelica started to cry. She had never seen her friend so weak & helpless before & it really scared her. Especially because that could be her one day.
"What happened? How did this happen?" she asked.
"Me & Sally had a fight...and I couldn't stand being their any longer. So I left..." he said slowly.
"Go on" Angelica said, helping him sit up & letting him lean on her.
"And I was walking when all of a sudden, my powers they...they...they like burst out of control!" he said, staring into the distance as if he could see it happening.
He took a deep breath & continued, "And everyone was looking at me horrified. I've never felt so hated in my life. Angelica I felt like such filth!"
"Don't think that Rusty! Your not!" she said hugging him, trying not to hurt him as well.
Suddenly Rusty's eye's opened wide & he crawled as fast as he could to the corner away from Angelica.
"Get out!" he screamed. Angelica did as she was told & ran to Peter, as Rusty's powers started to rage uncontrolably.
"Do something!" she yelled at him. He ran to the phone & said "Get Moira!"
Within minutes, Moira MacTaggert, Rahne's aunty & one of the world's leading experts on mutants came running in the room.
"Is the lad alright?" she asked looking at Peter.
"Take a look for yourself" he said grimmly.
The three of them looked in to see him surrounded in flames in the corner, curled up again.
"I...can't, I...I...gotta go!" Angelica cried & ran out of the room.
Angelica ran upstairs to find Sally running towards her.
"Is he alright?" Sally asked distressed. Angelica called her last night & Sally had just arrived to see how her boyfriend was.
Angelica just frowned & did what she thought she should do & led Sally to where Rusty was.
