"Good Morning Students" Professor Xavier said to the Computing Studies class. "I have someone I'd like to introduce to you today."
The whole class looked at the door to watch an American Indian man with short black hair & one metal walk in.
"Class, this is Forge. He will be your new teacher & the teacher of anything else to do with Computers or technology." the Professor continued.
"Hello class." Forge said with a nod.
With that, Xavier left the classroom, telling the students telepathically to ask questions if they had any.
Doug was the first one to put up his hand.
"Why you so good with technology? Is it your power or something?" Doug asked, with a coy smile. He thought the teacher would have limited knowledge.
"Yes that is my power. It's a bit hard to describe but I'll give you two examples of my work." Forge said, looking around the classroom with a smile.
"One. The Blackbird. Two. The Danger Room"
"Whoa!" the class said all at once.
"Now, should we get to the lesson?" Forge said, & then started to talk about "HTML".
While Doug, Xi'an, Johan & Angelica were in their Computing Studies class, Dani & Roberto were in their cooking class.
"So hows the Angelica front going Berto?" Dani asked, looking at him & not the carrot she was chopping up.
"Great Dani! But why are you asking me & not Angelica?" he asked with a weery look on his face.
"Because, all I hear is her point of view Berto, not yours. She might think it's going great but you might think it's shit." Dani replied.
"Oh ok" Roberto said back to her, "But yeah, it's going great. I like her so much!"
"Thats good. What about Johan? Hows he going?" she asked sympathetically.
Roberto looked down & tried to think of something to change the subject but nothing came to mind. He looked up at Dani to see her looking at him as if to say "Well?"
Roberto let out a sigh & started letting out his frustrations.
"We're talking...kinda. More greeting. If I try to say something besides "hello", he either walks away or walks right through me. And theres a huge difference! And whenever Johan gets mentioned around me & Sam, Sam changes the subject. I think hes ashamed of me but I didn't do anything wrong!" he blurted out, waving his hands about, showing how frustrated he was. He looked at Dani to see a disappointed look on her face.
"You know thats not true Berto" she stated calmly, "I know, from the way Johan see's it, he read into the relationship too much & he knows that. But you did lie to him. And the way he found out,no wonder Sam is ashamed! I'm ashamed. I thought you were better than that." she said, calmly still. This made Roberto feel even worse.
"I...I...I know. It's just, I didn't know how else to do it...plus, it was all secret...I." he said with sadness in his voice. "I just want us to be friends again."
"Try saying sorry" Dani said reassuringly & then heard the door to the room open.
A grey skineed teenage boy walked in. From the looks of it, he had stretched skin.
"Uh...thanks" he said to the student who showed him to the room.
He walked up to the teacher, handed her a note & she then pointed at Dani & Roberto. He walked up & they both said "Hey!"
"Hey!" he said back, "I'm Angelo Espinosa. But call me Skin. Is Jono about?"
Sam & Rahne both had an hour between two class' at this time so they decided to go for a walk. They had ended up stopping at the seats near the entrance to the property.
"Sam..." Rahne started, but then stopped.
"Yeah?" he asked, with a concerned look on his face.
Before she could answer, they heard a car horn beep at the front gate. Straight away Sam ran toward it, while Rahne just sat there & said to herself "I like Doug" & then got up & followed Sam.
Once they reached the gate, they found a police car waiting there, with a black policewoman helping Rusty out of the car. Once he was out, she helped walk him to the gate, keeping her eyes on the ground as she walked. She looked up from the ground when she was in front of it & said "This boy needs help. He said you could give it to him. Now do it!"
Sam opened the gates & let them in. Sam & the woman both carried him to the mansion while Rahne ran ahead to get the Professor. He met them at the door with Peter & Sam & Peter took Rusty to the infirmery while Rahne & Xavier stayed with the policewoman.
"Thank you very much Miss?" the Professor asked,
"Officer Charlotte Jones. But, do not call my precinct. I'm not gonna get busted for helpin' the poor boy!" she said, looking at the door that Rusty had been taken through.
"What?" Rahne asked
The police officer looked at the girl. "His powers went out of control & we had to capture him. I found him trying to make his way here . He said he could get help here."
"He will. Definetly" Xavier replied. "Thanks you Ms Jones. I will never forget what you did for the boy."
Charlotte looked back at her patrol car & shrugged.
"Make sure you don't sir. If it were another officer, they may have captured him. Or killed him. Or worse. I have to go. Goodbye."
With that, the woman jogged to her car & drove away.
"Three new arrivals in one day?" Xavier asked himself, "Hopefully, a good omen."
He heard Peter scream his name with his thoughts & spun around his wheelcahir, hoping to help save Rusty.
