Logan and Nyx
Logan inched his way out of Nyx's arms and she sighed, before rolling into the warm spot he'd left. He dressed in his gi and then walked down to the spot by the lake he liked to meditate in early in the morning. He started to go through some Tai Chi movements to warm and loosen his muscles from sleep. Dawn was barely even breaking and it was a bit cold but worth the few moments of solitude before his students joined him.
Dani, Doug and Johan
As Dani approached Logan, she could tell he was meditating. She started to slow down & attempt to walk silently. She thought to herself "Who am I kidding? He probably heard me leave the building!" but continued sneaking anyways.
As she snuck towards him, she could hear running behind he & turned to see Doug & Johan running right towards her. Then Johan ran through Dani saying "Hey" & Doug stopped to stand next to Dani.
"Hey Dan" he said with a smile & a nod.
"Um..hi. What are you guys doing here?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.
"We've been doing this for like a month now Dani." Johan said, looking at her oddly.
"It was good to see they are still friends", Dani thought to herself. She knew all about Doug finding out about Johan. She knew that Doug wouldn't care what Johan was. But she also knew that Doug doesn't like being lied to. She was happy their friendship was able to rise above it.
"Yo, Mister Logan?" Johan asked.
LOgan
Logan opened his eyes. "Mornin'." He didn't move from his crosslegged posture on the ground. "Well, you know the drill. Sit down, close your eyes and listen to the sound of your heartbeat." He closed his own eyes again. "Breathe in and out with it. Feel the peace that coming into contact with your own body brings."
Dani, Doug and Johan
Doug & Johan sat down & got confortable almost instantly. Dani could tell they had had practice doing this. Dani on the other hand didn't & was uncomfortable. Then she finally was able to get comfortable & started doing as Logan said.
The Mavericks and Logan
Mordred, Vortigern and Octavian ran up, panting. Logan cracked an eye open. "You're late."
"Spike overslept," Vortigern explained as the three sat down in a comfortable position. "He kinda slayed the alarm clock."
"See it doesn't happen again."
"Hai, sensei," the three chorused. They soon settled their breathing down and there was silence except for the sounds of the group's gentle breathing.
Dani, Johan and Doug
Dani looked at the trio & started to feel guilty. She had no clue who any of them were. She knew of their names...kind off, but had no clue about them. She shoke the though tout of her mind & started concentrating again. After about 15 minutes, Dani started seeing an image in her mind. A silouette. She couldn't make it out.
Meanwhile, Johan was trying really hard to concentrate but couldn't. He was too busy thinking about the person sitting across from him. It was Vortigern. There was just something about him that had Johan entranced.
Doug on the other hand was thinking about Rahne. She was still avoiding him after all this time. It was really starting to frustrate him. He then opened his eye & looked at everyone else.
"I wonder what they are thinking" he asked himself.
Logan and the Mavericks
Octavian worked hard on letting images come to him, then letting them go. Not worrying about what they were. Just knowing that the ideas were there.
Vortigern settled himself and wondered how quickly Logan would get this over with today so he could crawl back into bed with Spike.
Mordred, from the outside looked calm, but on the inside he was worrying about Gwen. He decided to firmly push her from his head for the time being and concentrate on his breathing.
Logan, after about half an hour, stood up. "We're going to try some Tai Chi movements now."
Dru
Dawn put on some sweatpants and a tank top and joined the group, quietly. Giles and Buffy had taught her Tai Chi, Tae Kwon Do and Karate. SHe really enjoyed martial arts, and was happy for the practice.
Logan and the Mavericks
The group copied Logan's graceful movements. The sun grew brighter, and soon Logan called the session to a close. He bowed to them, and they bowed back. "See you tomorrow, same place, same time. Just...people who aren't on time tomorrow get to run a cricuit of the lake."
"Hai, sensei!" They chorused and Logan smiled.
"Class, go now. Have a shower, eat and so on." He picked up his mat and rolled it up before walking inside. The male Mavericks quickly followed, talking quietly to themselves. They ignored Dawn rather obviously, still not having got over the turning Octavian into a girl thing.
Dani and Doug
Dani noticed the tension between the Mavericks & Dawn & got confused.
"Whats that about?" she asked Doug, pointing at the boys.
"Don't you know?" he asked, surprised she was asking.
Dani just shook her head.
Doug started laughing. "I don't know how you could have missed it! That chick, Dawn, turned one of them into a girl!" he said, smiling & started to make his way back to the main building.
"Are you kidding? That is so slack! Did he deserve it?" she asked.
"I dunno." Doug replied, still with a huge grin on his face, "All I know is that it was funny. Although, I do try to stay on her good side now!"
"Oh" Dani said & continued walking to the building.
Vortigern and Mordred
Vortigern sqeaked as Spike caught him just inside the doors, then hoisted him over the vampire's blackleather clad shoulder. "Right, pet, what did I say about leaving the bed?"
"Don't do it unless you know that I'm going?" Vortigern said hesitantly as Spike started to walk. His long golden hair fell over his eyes and he couldn't see where they were going. All he could see was Spike's ever so nice ass. Vort grinned slightly.
"See you in class, Vort," Mordred said, smiling.
"Quaite, old boy." Octavian grinned, before walking off with Mordred to their room. "So, what do you have today?"
"Yes, pet. That."
"Um. Sorry?"
Doug, Dani and Johan
Johan watched as Spike walked off with Vort over his shoulder & started to get jealous.
"Who are those two?" he asked Dani & Doug, pointing at them.
"Spike, he's a vampire & I think his name is Vort?" Doug said raising his eyebrow at Johan. "Why? You wanna join in Jo?" he asked with a smile.
"No!" Johan replied abruptly. Dani & Doug just laughed. Dani seperated from the two & went towards her room while Doug & Johan made their way to their own.
"You don't have to not tell me things now Jo. I know remember. You can tell me if you like the look of some guy." Doug said reassuringly.
"Well..." Johan started, "The one being carried is good." he said shyly.
Doug started laughing. "Good, coz if you were going for the other one, I'd have to start calling you a necrophiliac!"
Octavian
"He prefers the term, alternitively alive," Octavian drawled, having overheard the conversation. "I wouldn't repeat that around any of the magically inclined people at the mansion, especially not Dawn. She'll take it out of your hide. Surrogate father figure." He grinned slightly. "Anyway, my name is Octavian. Nice to meet you."
The slam of Spike's bedroom door punctuated the line of speech, and Octavian winced.
"Thank god for silencing charms, that's all I can say. I know Scathach's noisy in bed from experience, but Spike...pretty sure he is as well."
Doug and Johan
"Ohhhh Kay!" Johan said.
Doug & Johan looked nervously at each other for a second & then Doug started laughing.
"Wow, this is really awkward! My name is Doug by the way!" Doug said, giving a wave.
"And I'm Johan" Johan added in, giving a shy smile.
Octavian
"Good morning. We haven't really talked much...wonder why?" Octavian smiled back. "Nice to meet you. So, how do you enjoy our morning sessions with the Wolverine?"
Doug and JOhan
"Nice to meet you as well" Doug said smiling. "I dunno why we haven't talked much. I suppose it's because we keep to ourselves.". Doug looked at Johan who was looking nervously at the ground. "Yes," Doug continued, "I love these classes. Especially because my powers are pretty shitty offensively. All I can do to hurt people or defend myself is swear at them in other languages!"
Doug & Johan started laughing. It was one of their personals jokes that no one else understood.
Johan stopped laughing & realised something.
"How much of our conversation did you hear?" he asked, scared of what the answer may be.
Octavian
"Bit. Just...don't hit on Vort when Spike's nearby. Vampire, very possessive. As in grrrr, mine." Octavian grinned. "He's alright otherwise. It's fantastic to have some other people to discuss football with, and I don't mean what you Yanks call football."
Doug and Johan
"Oh ok" Johan said uneasily as Doug just grinned. "Could you not say anything about what you heard to anyone?" Johan asked, trying not to sound worried.
Octavian
Octavian raised an eyebrow slightly. "If you don't want me to. Doesn't make much sense, but I won't say anything."
Johan and Doug
"Okay. Thanks!" Johan said relieved, "I owe you one!"
Doug was starting to get impatient.
"Hey, shouldn't we go get ready for our classes?" he asked.
"Oh yeah. Nice meeting you Octavian!" Johna said, "And thanks again"
"Yeah, nice meeting you" Doug said after him, "See ya around!"
Octavian and Mordred
Octavian shrugged. "Nice meeting you too." He went to his room and opened the door. Mordred was hopping on one foot trying to gte his boot on. Octavian pushed him onto the bed as he went to the wardrobe. "Those two are rather strange," he commented to Mordred.
"Why?"
"Well..." Octavian quickly related what he had talked about with Johan and Doug. Mordred listened as Octavian quickly got changed. "Why should anyone care if Johan was checking out Vort? After all, Vort is very hot."
"Eh, not all people are as comfortable with their sexuality as you and Vort are." Mordred shrugged. They went to class.
