27 June 2003 - The Bikers Are Back

Kirk and Chloe

Kirk and Chloe pulled up at the Hanson home.

The only reason they'd taken as long as they had to get back to Tulsa was because Chloe had wanted to go sight-seeing on the way back. Figuring that Taylor would be pre-occupied with his girlfriend rather than his bike, Kirk agreed.

Kirk shut Taylor's bike off and wheeled it up the driveway as Chloe waited on Christian's near the letterbox.

Isaac

Isaac noticed a couple of people pull up out the front. Seeing as they didn't look like the conventional Hanson fans, he popped out to check the matter.

"Hey..." Isaac said, then noticed something. "That looks like Tay's bike... actually, so does that one. Who are you?"

Kirk and Chloe

Kirk recognized the voice... not to mention the face.

He grinned up at him.

"Hey Ike, Steel here. We spoke on the phone in... wherever we were..." he glanced back at Chloe.

"Just returnin' your bro's bike for 'im. And if Chris wants his... know where he is?"

Isaac

"Ahh, you must be Steel and Chloe, right? Tay's inside."

He gestured for them to follow him inside, as he started walking to the door.

Kirk and Chloe

Kirk glanced at Chloe, who shrugged.

She got off Christian's bike and lay it down, before following Kirk up to the door.

"Look man, we don't really need to hang around or nuthin'... just came to drop off the bike. Or bikes... depending where Chris is. I dunno if he wants it or not."

Kirk scratched his nose.

"Soon find out," Chloe smirked.

Isaac

"Suit yourself," Isaac shrugged. "No skin off my teeth. I think Tay's in the rec room."

Isaac started walked down to the rec room. He steped into the doorway.

"Tay?"

Kirk and Taylor

Taylor's head shot up, his eyes worried.

"Ike? What? Is it Mouse? What's up?" he fretted.

"Settle Gretel," came a familiar voice, as Kirk came up behind Isaac.

He grinned at Taylor.

"Long time no see. Came ta bring your bike back."

Isaac

"Everything's fine Tay," Isaac assured him, then checked his watch. "Y'know, when Zac comes back from the movies with Avery and Mackie, we should try and keep him here long enough to have a practice."

Taylor, Kirk and Chloe

Taylor sighed with relief, knowing Mouse was ok.

"So, about the bikes..." Kirk raised his eyebrows.

"Just... leave it in the driveway," Taylor waved his hand at him, quickly writing down the rest of the lyrics he'd come up with before they'd walked in.

"What about Christian's?" Chloe brought up.

Taylor hesitated.

"He's not here. I don't know where he is."

Kirk shrugged.

Isaac

"Pity," Isaac said. "I want to - well, it doesn't have to be me, someone anyway to talk to him about DNA testing the stalker's baby."

Taylor, Kirk and Chloe

"Oh God," Taylor ran his fingers through the top of his hair, "that's if we can get hold of her again. Or if she co-operates. Or if he co- operates in the first place."

"Don't worry Tay man," Kirk insisted, "they'll come 'round. Well, I dunno about the girl, but Chris will. We've just about got him wrapped around our little fingers at the moment anyway."

He grinned, wiggling his pinky.

Chloe whacked him on the shoulder.

"We could use the bike. Until we hear from him anyway," she said finally, "we'll see you guys later."

She waved, then headed to the front door. Kirk shrugged.

"See ya Tay. Isaac," he nodded to them, then followed her out.

Taylor just nodded back, waiting until they left. Then he looked up at Ike.

"What if they don't co-operate? What if she's too... you know. Thinks she's right no matter what?" he gulped.

Isaac

"If we can get the test done the way we want it done, it doesn't matter what she thinks. The results will make her look like a fool, whether she chooses to believe us or not. I don't know what to suggest if Christian doesn't agree. If she doesn't we can just get her with the 'what are you so worried about?' line," Isaac shrugged. "It's going to work out, man."

Taylor

Taylor hesitated, his lips pursed as he fiddled with his watch. Then he chuckled a little and stood.

"Thanks man," he smiled, "again."

Isaac

Isaac grinned back.

"No problem man."
