Taryn was annoyed. She was feeling sick, and annoyed from all the media attention. It had been fun, but now it wasn't. To top it off, she was showing and she felt gross. Everyone was telling her how beautiful she looked, but to herself, she just felt fat.
And it didn't help that stupid Isis was prancing around with Ike, all skinny. She was annoyed at everyone and everything. Most of all Isis, and she wasn't sure why. All she knew was that she was going to tell Zada that Isis was the one who'd helped Zac escape. She'd kept this secret long enough.
Taryn left her room, putting a robe on to conceal the hated belly, but reminding herself that it would be worth it in time. She found Zada sitting on their back porch, smoking.
"Zada, I have some news for you."
"Unless you tell me that Zac is back in the basement, I don't give a shit."
"But it's - "
"If you whine about your stupid baby then I'm going to hurl a brick at your stupid head."
"Take a chill." Taryn pulled a cigarette from Zada's pack and lit up. Zada glanced over.
"Smoking when preggers harms your baby. Read the packs."
Taryn flipped her off and leaned back. "I know who let Zac go."
Zada turned quickly and grabbed her collar. "Tell me now."
"Isis."
"No, she wouldn't."
"Oh, I'm afraid she did. Scored a date with Ike out of it too. The only one of us who hasn't screwed it up completely."
"Oh she screwed it up. You don't mess with me." Zada's eyes narrowed. "Hey Isis!"
Isis came outside and sat with them, lighting up her own cigarette. "What's up?"
"How was your date with Ike?"
"Fantastic."
Zada grinned sardonically and put her cigarette out on Isis's arm. "I know you let Zac go. Mess with my plans again, and I will actually hurt you, sister, dear."
Isis slapped Zada. "You deserved it for what you did to him."
Zada grabbed her hair and yanked it, slamming her head onto the porch. "I hate you. You better watch your back." Eyes flashing dangerously, Zada stood and stormed into the house, slamming the door so hard the glass almost broke.
Taryn shrugged. "Bad day?"
Isis rubbed her head. "God, she's such a little bitch... how you feeling?"
"Sick of being preggers. But if all goes to plan, then I'll have my Tay-Tay before I know it."
Isis looked uncertain, but tried to smile encouragingly. "Yeah... Zada's pretty pissed, right? So I should stay out of her way."
"Yeah... you did foil her plan. Just slightly."
"Ok, she deserved to lose Zac, she was being awful to him. Besides, I got a date from it."
Taryn rolled her eyes and took a final drag. "Oh yeah."
"Smoking when - "
"Preggers harms your baby. I know and I don't care. This is my body!" Taryn got up and tried to open the door. "She's locked us out. Well... you, not me." Taryn waved and ported inside and unlocked the door.
