Mouse and Theodore

Mouse watched dully as one of the scientests tended her wounds. Wounds that they had inflicted. God, she hoped the frostbite left her fingers in a usable condition. What use was a thief without nimble fingers? As much use as a lockpick to a snake. She closed her eyes wearily. One thing she could be thankful for though...not one of them had made a move to touch her in any way that wasn't professional.

"So, Blakesley...how did your experiments go?" Danjermon asked over the restrained subject.

"Quite well...interesting enough, its physiology is quite similair to a human being's. But for closer analysis, I would suggest you go look at Greene's results from his tests."

"He said they were quite ready yet...apperently he discovered several discrepancies in this subjects DNA as compared to the pure Dathrian and Semirellian data we already have."

"How intriguing." Blakesley busied himself with collecting his results. "Well, I'm going to collate this tomorrow..."

"Good work." Danjermond nodded approvingly. "Take this subject back to it containment cell." The orderly nodded and wheeled the bed out of the room.

Mouse kept her eyes closed and her fingers tightened around the metal sliver she'd managed to get. She slid it inside the cuff of her shirt. Maybe she had a chance to get out of this after all. No one would come for her...she was all alone in this.
