8 June 2003 - Talking to the Mouse

Christina T and Mouse

Christina sat by Mouse's bedside and slowly decreased the strength of the sedatives. Soon, her patience was rewarded as the girl awoke. "Good morning, Mouse. Well, for all you know it's night time..." Christina smiled unpleasantly as her target's brown eyes tracked over to her. "Rule one, any attempts to alter my emotions I will do this." She pressed a button on a handheld remote. Mouse's eyes rolled up in her head as the electricity spasmed through her and she jerked convulsively. Christina took her finger off the button and Mouse whimpered as the pain took over. "Rule two, any attempts to escape, and I will do this." She pressed a different button, and this time Mouse screamed in agony. "Rule three, I see any animals and I will kill them in front of you. Slowly. Rule four, you don't speak unless I give you permission. Any questions?"

"Why...why are you doing this?" Mouse whispered through a dry and cracking throat.

"You've been too much trouble. I want more then one alien after all the problems you've put me through." Christina shook her head. "You're bait. Now, be a good girl and I might give you something to drink."

Mouse moaned, still wracked with pain. "They will find me..."

"That's what I'm counting on." Christina got up and walked towards the door. She switched off the light and closed the door behind her.

Mouse tried to stare into the darkness and started to sob with terror. Her mind imagined all types of horror hidden by the darkness and the drugs messed with her mind. Oh god. What if they did find her? She didn't want anyone to die. She didn't matter...but what if Taylor came? What if this hunter shot him? Mouse sobbed harder, the sounds echoing off the concrete walls.

Fafnir limped into Tulsa, footsore and hungry. He needed Pack. He whined deep in his throat, and then stopped for a moment to catch his breath. Whatever he had been shot full of didn't seem to wear off easy. He made his way into town and to the Hanson house. Oh god, he was so sore and he still felt so sick. He staggered into the Hansons's backyard and collapsed onto his side, whimpering slightly, eyes glazed over with feverish heat. Paaaaccckkk... Determindly, he dragged himself to his feet again and lurched towards the house, only to fall down again. He snarled, angry at his own weakness and panted rapidly.

Hey, wolf...whoa, you don't look so good. One of the Ka'Millians sauntered up to him, in the form of a dog for the moment. Fafnir curled his lip at the alien animal and started crawling towards the house. Where's Mouse?

Need...Pack. I don't know where she is. Get Taylor. Fafnir subsided into stillness as his body screamed at him. Please? He hated to beg, but Mouse was in trouble.

Ok, wolf. The Ka'Millian said agreeably. OI! Taylor!

Fafnir wished he could cover his ears.

An unmeasurable span of time later, the light snapped back on. Tears sprung to Mouse's eyes as the brightness burnt her sensitive eyes. She opened her mouth to speak, and was shocked.

"No talking. I'm not interested in your lies." Christina put a straw in Mouse's mouth and the empath sipped from it gratefully. "How do you like your accomadations?"

"Please, let me go."

"Not an option." Christina stood, and Mouse looked at the water longingly as the hunter made her way out. "Be a good little alien and maybe you can eat later," she said condescendingly as she upped the dosage of sedative and checked Mouse's bonds.

"Don't leave me in the dark!"

"Aw, poor little Mousey." Christina flipped the switch and the room was plunged into darkness and slammed the door behind her. The bolt spun and Mouse shivered. It was so dark in here...she felt the dizziness take over again and she whimpered.
