Angelica & Dani -
After work, Angelica met Dani at the closest train station to Sallys place & they both made their way to Sallys. Dani wasn't sure going to this "Haven" was the right idea for her. She had never danced in public, or around so many people. The amount of people scared her the most. What if her concentration were to slip & her power worked on everyone in the room? Angelica said not to worry, but Dani couldn't help it.
They got to Sallys & got ready. Dani looked at what Angelica & Sally were wearing & the first word that came to her head was "sluts". She couldn't help it. Angelica was wearing tight jeans which flared out at the bottom. They had an embroidery red dragon on her right leg below her knee. She was also wearing a tight red tank top & a nice denim jacket. She had her hair done up really nicely. Dani thought she looked great but she also thought she looked like she was looking for a guy tonight. Meanwhile, Sally was slutty to the max. She was wearing a short denim skirt, "f*** me boots" & a tight lowcut white shirt with "angel" written on it. "Yeah right" Dani thought. But then she looked at what she was wearing. Jeans, a tight tanktop with "Superstar!" across the chest, the bottom of the shirt end just a few centimetres above her bellybutton. Her hair in a plat, which she normally had anyways. She didn't think that girls should have to dress like that to get a guy. But tonight, she wanted to go out & have fun, so she figured, if you can't beat them, join them.
Xi'an & Johan -
While Dani, etc got ready, Xi'an & Johan were already at Haven. It was set in a huge partially underground warehouse in New York. They made sure they got there early to ensure they got in.The doors opened & the music started about 7:00, so thye made sure they were there at 6:00. And their waiting paid off seeing as they were some of the first in. They both walked down the hallway that led to the main dancehall & through the door into a huge area. The main floor where all the dancing was set in was huge, & the entrance they just walked though was above that, on the 2nd level. Xi'an ran over to the railing & looked down at the dancefloor below & said to herself "This is gonna be soooo cool!"
Dani & Angelica -
It was 7:30 when Dani, Angelica, Rusty & Sally had gotten into the club. Due to Sally & Rusty being well known there, they got in easily. Dani noticed that the music couldn't be heard & that the lines to get in were inside the building. She looked around as they walked down the hall, towards the main room. She noticed a few people were wearing hats & trenchcoats. The four of them got stopped at the door by the bouncer.
"Ready to have a carefree night tonight guys & girls?" he said smiling.
"Sure am Guido!" Sally said as he opened the door, letting her & Rusty walk through.
Dani grabbed Angelicas arm & pulled her towards her, "Are you sure about this?"
Angelica just turned around & smiled. "Of course I am. You'll fit right in!"
Angelica turned back around & run through the door. Dani just sighed & followed her, looking at the huge man as she walked past him. Just as she had passed him, he said "Hey Miss!" & pulled the elastic out of her hair, & then used his big hands to undo her plat. Dani turned around outraged. He just smiled & said "You won't be needed this" & then pushed her into the room, closing the door behind her. She looked back at the door angry & then towards the dancefloor & was caught by surprise. The first thing she saw were two people floating in the air above the dancefloor, kissing. Then she realised, they were both female. One had blue skin, the other had butterfly wings, keeping them in the air. She couldn't believe her eyes. Then she heard Angelica yell in her ear "I told you you would fit right in. Welcome to Haven!" With that, Angelica grabbed Dani's arm & pulled her towards the stairs that led to the dancefloor.
The night had gone by nicely for both groups. They were all having fun, dancing, laughing, mainly just forgeting about whatever was going on in their lifes right now. About 9:00, Dani & Angelica walked over to the bar to get a drink. Dani looked down the bar to see Spike standing there. He looked up & noticed the girls & gave a sly smile.
"Shit!" Dani said to Angelica, "Spike is here!"
"So what." Angelica laughed back, "This is Haven. The places is mainly for mutants & gays, etc that are older than 15. I've been coming here since then. So have Sally & Rusty. Spike can't do anything."
Dani let out a sigh of relief. Her & Angelica got their drinks (bottles of water) & made their way back to the dancefloor. As they made their way towards were they last saw Sally & Rusty, Dani noticed a familiar face looking at her, dancing with another guy. They started to kiss & the familiar face opened his eyes & looked at her. It was Johan. His eyes opened wide & he ran off, running through people. Dani just ignored it. She, Xi'an & Berto were the only ones who knew that he was gay, so why would he run off. Then she realised, he shouldn't be here. No way would he have been given permission to leave the mansion on a saturday night.
Moments before, back at the mansion, Roberto & Sam ran into Johans room looking for him, only to find his bed messed up & him not in it. They looked at Doug, his roommate & asked where he was.
"I dunno." Doug replied. "He was gone when i came in. Hes been gone for a while now. Maybe in Shans room?"
With that they went to Xi'ans room to find no one in there either. Sam walked in the room, looking around the room to see if they were hiding or something. Roberto just sighed.
"Their not here. We'll have to go by ourselves." Roberto said, noticing a piece of paper on Xi'ans bed. He walked towards it.
"We can't" Sam said, turning around to face him, "We need Johan to get us through the wall with stealth so no one knows we're gone!"
Roberto was looking at the piece of paper now. He just shook his head & looked back at Sam. "It would seem that Johan had already gone through the wall, with Shan."
Sam looked back at Roberto confused. The reason they were looking for Johan was so they could go find & maybe even save Dani & Angelica. One of the schools pre-cogs, Sarah, delivered a criptic message to Sam earlier that afternoon. She had said that "There will be blood spilt at the Haven". Sam knew where the girls had gone & ran to get Berto & Johan, so they could go make sure they were alright. The idea never came into his head to tell Xavier or another teacher.
"You mean Johan & Shan are at Haven as well?" Sam asked with a worried tone in his voice.
"Yep" Roberto replied.
"Crap! Okay, you & me are gonna go there now!" Sam said, running out the room.
"Great" Roberto said, watching Sam run down the hall, "Like I wanna go back there again" Before he left the room, Roberto made sure he left a note just in case anyone came looking for them.
Soon, Sam (with the use of the mutant only known as Boost, who could boost peoples powers by entering their bodies) was flying over the school wall, carrying Roberto. Once over, Sam started flying towards New York City, hoping they could make it there in time.
Back at Haven, Dani started pushing through the people, trying to follow Johan. She stopped & noticed Sally kissing another girl, while Rusty was kissing her neck. The girl looked at Dani & her face dropped. It was Xi'an. She let go of Sally & went to run but then she saw Angelica standing there waiting. Then Johan ran though Angelicas body & stopped in front of Xi'an,
"Dani's here!" he yelled at Xi'an.
Angelica walked up behind him & tapped him on the shoulder, as he had become solid now. He turned to look at her horrified & then back at Xi'an to see Dani standing behind her.
"You guys are in so much trouble!" Dani yelled when suddenly the roof of the building started to crumble. Angelica & Rusty sprang to action, blasting pieces of falling debris with their flame powers, while Sally used her forcefield powers as best as she could, to shield as many as people as possible. While Xi'an used her powers to keep people calm & make them leave through the exits calmly, Johan phased the people that Sally couldn't get & led them back to the forcefield.
Dani looked up at the hole in the roof to see a group of people hovering there. She pointed & yelled "Look!" Everyone looked up at the group that were lowering themselves to the floor. Dani counted 8 people. All surrounded by a green energy field. The controlling the energy let everyone down to the floor. Once they had their feet on the floor, they went to chase after the people, but most had escaped. One of them, male, yelled "Stop" & stared at Dani, Rusty, Sally, Angelica, Johan & Xi'an; the only people left in the whole room now. The male, who Dani assumed was the leader, looked at the furiously.
"You let them escape!" he yelled at the group.
"Well, if you hadn't made the roof fall down on us, they wouldn't have needed to escape. What do you want anyways?" Sally yelled back.
The one that control the green energy floated towards the group.
"We have come to recruit" she stated calmly as she stopped a few metres away from them. "We are the Mutant Liberation Front. Im am called Polaris. I am the mistress of magnetism. My teammates are Strobe who can generate great heat from her hands. Kamikaze who can detonate the air around his body in a large explosion. Reaper who secretes a paralyzing neuro-toxin via his scythes. Forearm who has four arms, hence the name. Dragoness, who packs a bio-electric sting which can manifest as flame. Sumo, the immovable object. Locus, our team teleporter. And lastly, Wildside, who can alter the perceptions of those around him, essentially warping their reality. Our purpose is to help free & defend mutants from around the world. That is why we came here to recruit. You all seem to want to do the same. Help save people."
Dani wasn't sure what to make of the situation. Were these people a threat? Or were they for real?
Dani was about to say something when Wildside suddenly punched Polaris in the head, knocking her out.
"What are you doing?" yelled Locus.
"Doing what all the group wants. We're sick of her being the leader. We all have different ideas to how things should be done. So, now I'm the new leader!"
Dani & Co. didn't know what to do. Thye just stood there, dumbfounded by what was going on. Then Wildside set his eyes on them & smiled.
"Aw crap!" Rusty said, as suddenly most of the MLF run/flew towards the group, while Wildside just yelled "If you won;t join us, then we'll have to take you down!"
Locus & Forearm just stood there. Obviously, they were the only ones not informed of what was going on.
Sally put up her shield around the group.
"What should we do?" she asked, looking towarda Angelica, as Strobe, Kamikaze, Sumo & Dragoness all tried to use their powers to break the forcefield.
"Fight!" Dani said determined, "We're not going to let them attack us. We've been trained for moments like these. So lets show 'em what we're made of."
Dani looked around to see that no one was as motivated as her. Angelica & Johan looked nervous, Xi'an confused & Rusty & Sally were standing there with their hands up, ready to point out they had no training. Dani didn't care. She saw them using their powers tonight & had faith in their abilities.
"The plan is that when Sally drops her shields, we are all going to acquire a target & stop them from getting anywhere near Sally. Sally, you are going to run to Polaris & once she is secure, we'll either run away or see if Locus will help us. Okay?"
They all said "Okay" & got ready to fight. Once Dani yelled "Now!", it was game time.
"NOW!"
