Davyd

Davyd followed Mikey up to his apartment, nervous and slightly skittish. What was he doing? A guy like Mikey could never be interested in him, certainly not *that* way. He was useless and stupid, he knew that. Oh, please let him get through this without embarassing himself too badly, as vain a hope as he knew it was. Usless lazy no good layabout! Why you can't be more like your brother, why did the Lord give me a son like you, musta been to teach me patience because sure as heaven I need it to cope with you! He dug his hands into his jacket's pockets and tried to look casual.

Michael

MIkey looked at Davyd. "Okay, so, the big first date question. Kiss or no kiss?" He grinned. "I say we get it over with now," he grinned.

Davyd

Davyd blushed, but a slight smile tugged at the corners of his lips as he ducked his head. "If you want."

Michael

MIkey leaned in and captured Davyd's mouth with his own. HE held the kiss for several seconds before breaking apart.

"That was nice," he breathed. "Come in?" he offered, opening his front door.

Davyd

Davud smiled again, and entered the apartment ahead of Mikey. "You've got a nice place," he said, looking around. "The benefits of actually making it, I'd guess."

Michael and Leo D

He smiled. "You're making it. Look at this, your got a lead role in one of the biggest Broadway musicals there is." Leo walked in, shirtless, half asleep, his hair mussed from bed.

"Dude, you just woke up? It's freaking 6 in the afternoon!" Mikey said, giving Leo a noogie. "Li, this is Davyd, Davyd, meet Leo. Oh, and don't worry about saecrets, he's a mutant too," he said.

"Oh, cool," Leo said, holding out his hand. "I'm half Dathrian, alien. I can navigate time. How 'bout you?"

Davyd

"Pleased to meet you." Davyd shook Leo's hand politely. "I have a power I call Voice. It's handy for my acting." He pulled the same trick for Leo as he had for Mikey, making his voice shift and change, ending up on the one he normally used. "My cousin, Amadeo, is a mutant as well. But I only found out about aliens this afternoon when Michael told me. Bit of a shock, really."

Leo D and Michael

"Well, we were surprised when we found out about mutants. Anyways, I'm gonna go take a shower and then I'm going to a party, gonna leave you lovebirds alone," he smirked. Mike swatted at him.

"Oh, stuff it. Hey, we're just about to watch 'Catch me if you can,'" he teased, "Care to join us?" Leo grimaced.

"Oh, God, no, you know I HATE to watch myself." he shuddered. "Please, refrain from all embarrassing comments until AFTER I leave," he begged.

Davyd

"I don't think there'd be any embarassing comments to make. You're a really excellent actor," Davyd said shyly.

Michael and Leo D

"Thanks, but right now I stink," he grinned, and then headed off to the bathroom. Mike and Davyd settled down on the couch to watch the movie.

Davyd

By the time several dozen model airplanes were floating in Frank Abegnale's hotel bathtub, Davyd's shoulders were shaking with supressed laughter. This was a good movie. Quirky humour and witty banter was the type of thing he liked to watch...but there was some serious stuff in it as well.

Michael

"Oh, this is going to have some good teasing material," Mikey grinned. "He's always playing these little geeky kids," he laughed. He took the opportunity to stretch one arm around Davyd's shoulders, hoping the other boy wouldn't protest.

Davyd

Having grown up in a affection starved environment with very little touch, except an occasional hug from his mother, Davyd settled down happily and leant his head against Mikey's shoulder. "You have a point."

Michael

Michael snuggled into Davyd just enjoying the closeness of another warm body and watching the movie. It was very funny.

Davyd

"Good movie," Davyd said softly when the movie ended. He waited for Mikey to pull away. He was expecting it. "Don't what he was so worried about."

Michael

Michael held Davyd close to him. "Now, I SHOULD go and take out the disc, but I'm too comfy. Don't wanna move." he said, snuggling in close.

Davyd

"Me neither," Davyd said softly. This was so nice...felt safe. He felt...loved. Or at least liked. God, he wished he knew what that really was. What it meant.

Michael

Mike took a deep breath. "Davyd, I think you are a beautiful man, and I am very attracted to you. I would very much like to date you. There are so many things I want to explore with you, and just having you around makes me feel are warm and gooey inside. I don't want to pressure you in any way, but I thought you should know, that though I've known you less than a day, I feel very attractedto you."

Davyd

"You can't mean that..." Inside Davyd was already closing down barriers and withdrawing mentally. He didn't want to be hurt anymore. He already knew that he was worthless. He didn't want Mikey to tell him that one day. "I know what I am and someone like you could never be attracted to me. Thanks for the date an' all. It was nice." Nice? Wonderful. Amazing. He started to get up.

Michael

Mike put a hand on Davyd's shoulder. "Davyd, you can't possibly believe that, can you?' his eyes widened. "Oh my god, you DO believe that. Oh, Davyd, I don't know who has hurt you so badly that you think you're worthless, but I AM attracted to you. And I'm not that great of a person either. I've slept around in my time, been a bit of a slut, latched on just because I wanted to be loved. But I think it could be different with you, Dave, 'cause I've known you less than a day, but I feel like I've known you forever. Please don't leave!" he cried out, tears springing to his eyes. What was so wrong with him that he couldn't make a relationship work?

Davyd

Davyd didn't know what to do. God, he was an idiot. Useless, worthless fool. He sat back down and hesitantly touched Mikey's shoulder. "I...Mikey. You're gorgeous, beautiful, accomplished, successful. Me? I'm worthless. Been told that all my life and I believe it. Haven't ever done anything worth knowing about. But if you want me to stay, I'll stay. Please don't cry for me...not worth it."

Michael

MIke looked into Davyd's eyes. "You're worth it. Don't ever let anybody tell you you're worthless, because they're a liar, and I will zap them into oblivion," he said, honestly.

Davyd

Davyd decided not to correct him. "Well, ya know..." He shrugged almost helplessly, brown eyes bruised with an old hurt. "Different people have different opinions." He reached out and touched Mikey's cheek. "Please don't cry."

Michael

"Please, please don't ever give me a reason to cry over you," MIchael begged, as he enveloped Davyd's mouth with his own.

Davyd

Davyd melted. "I don't intend to."

Michael

Michael began to kiss Davyd passionately, and before long they fell back onto the couch, unable to break apart for even a moment.

Davyd

"I need to get going..." Davyd panted when they finally came up for air. "I have another job in the morning..."
