Dru
Dru gathered her five new babies around her, Rosemary, Luka, Lilly, Samantha and Stephen.
"Now, children, dark times are coming, so you need to know where you come from. The first of our kind to walk this earth were Kakistos and the Master. They were paramours, lovers, together for millenia. The Master turned Darla, and Darla sired Angelus. Angelus sired me, and he and I sired William, Spike, together. A vampire with two sires will always be powerful, but conflicted. The four of us were known as the Scourge of Europe. You, my babies, are direct descendants of the first vampire to walk this world. We are the royal family of our world, of our kind, and once the new war begins, we will become the leaders of the underworld," Dru explained.
Sabre
"Yeah, beuase everybody else will be dead. But we will survive. And we will fight to make it so we stay that way." Sabre patted Rosemary's hair.
"We will be alright, won't we?" She asked him.
"Of course we will, lovely. And we will rule the night. It will be ours."
Dru
"I have forseen that we will survive. The stars tell me that only the line of the Master will thrive. He only died a few years ago you know. The Slayer staked him, and then bashed his skull into dust with a sledgehammer. Very sad."
Sabre
"I wondered what could make the old fruitbat dust for good. Never got on well with him. He didn't like Nyx much either. Always vampires will rule, all other forms of life or unlife are inferior...sounded like a KKK member going on about white supremacy." Sabre grimaced. The children giggled, and he thwapped one of them ovre the head softly. "I can laugh, but you lot better respect your elders."
"I respect Mama," Rosemary said seriously.
"So, how does this whole vampire thing work?" Lily asked. "How can we do?"
"Stake, decaptiation, sunlight," Sabre rattled off. "Heart removal. Crosses burn, holy water acts like acid."
"Cool."
Dru
"But, if you're all good little babies, and prove yourselves worthy of my family, I'll make you invul nerable," Dru said smiling. "Now, my Dark Prince, I'm hungry, let's take our children hunting!"
Sabre
"O'course, Dru lovely." Sabre got to his feet. "We can kill off another nightclub, if you want. But after last night, we better keep a low profile."
Dru
"No, we have many children now. And with hard times coming, they need to learn to hunt, stalk, and catch their prey. Especially little ones," Dru pointed out.
Sabre
"So, let's go." Sabre ushered them all out of the house. He called a taxi, and firmly told the new Childer they were not to bite the taxi driver, at least until they arrived where they were going. They didn't, but Lily did eat the man when they arrived at the nightclub district. "Dru lovely, I think this is your area of expertise. Tell them what it is to be a vampire."
Dru
"Children, what are your instincts telling you?"
"To kill, to feed," Luka replied.
"Yes. You need to kill to live. Rosie's been here the longest, Rosie, show them how to lure someone away, and eat. Everybody watch." Ropsemary picked a man and flirted with him a bit, and lured him to a dark corner, where she drained him.
"Lilly, you might be able to lure by flirting, but the little ones will need to make the people think they are lost. Everybody wants to rescue a lost child."
Sabre
"Make your eyes big, and cry a little," Sabre suggested. The twins nodded and Sabre lurked along behind them as they tried out their new fangs. They easily distracted a middle aged woman into walking with them, and when she came to the mouth of a dark alley, they drained her. "Good work, you two." They smiled at him, blood on their mouths.
"Thank you, Sabre."
Dru
"Are my children all sated?" Dru asked when they nodded, she decided for some more fun.
"Let's go down on the subway. Close quarters, and Spike killed a Slayer there once," Dru reminisced.
Sabre
"Sounds fun, Sire," Rosemary said, clapping her hands. "Oh, New York is so much fun!"
"Well, it's more fun then I thought it was." Luka grinned. "Let's go kill people."
Sabre smiled and led the band of vampires down to the subway.
Dru
On the subway, the killed every passenger, and right after they stopped, the conductor as well.
"Well, my pretties, the sun is almost up, and it can be so hurtful, let us go home!" Dr sang, as she led her family home.
