1 May 2003 - Zac comes home

Zac and Isaac

It was midday before Zac left the mansion. After bidding Faith a fond and a ffectionate farewell, he (and his guitar) got into his van and drove homw (just Zac drove - the guitar doesn't have a drivers licence).

After a cheerful drive with the radio blasting, he pulled up at home and got himself and his guitar out, and headed inside the garage to put the guitar away.

"Hi Zac," Isaac said. "I assume from you last of presence last night that you and Faith made up?"

"You bet," Zac replied happily.

"I covered for you, by the way," Isaac went on. "I told Mom you were at a friends place."

"Thanks."

Zac put the guitar away and headed to the house.

Avery

Avery came out of her room when she heard Zac pull up.

"Hey Zac!" She greeted, bouncing when she saw him. "I missed you yesterday, I had to talk to Isaac."

Avery snuck a sly glance at Ike. "Just kidding... I love you too, Ike."

Isaac and Zac

"Well, it's nice to know I'm so loved," Isaac laughed.

Zac grinned at him, and then at Avery.

"I'm gone a day and a night and look at the welcome I get," he said.

Avery

"Well, you've been gone longer than that, really. Coz you were all sad for the last week, and it wasn't you... it was some mopey thing that looked like you. So I've missed you. If you understand that." Avery hugged her Zac then hugged Isaac, jumping onto his back.

"I love you Ike... say... you wanna make me lunch?"

Isaac and Zac

"Mopey thing?" Zac repeated.

"C'mon Zac, you have to admit, that's fair," Isaac grinned. "Sure, Avie, I'll make ya lunch. Join us Zac?"

"Sure. Never pass up a free lunch. Unless it's poisoned of course."

Avery

"I wouldn't let Ike poison you... unless you were really mean to me. No, even then I couldn't, coz I'd miss you too much."

Avery hopped off Ike's back and walked side by side with Zac, stopping midway to poke him in the side.

She giggled happily, she was so glad that Zac was happy again.

Zac

Zac turned to Avery.

"Did you just poke me? I think you did. You realise what this means, now, don't you?"

Zac grabbed his sister.

"Tickle time!"

And tickled her.

Avery

Avery struggled out of his grasp giggling uncontrollably.

"No!"

She turned around and poked Zac some more in those pressure points, then snuck up behind Ike and gently tapped the back of his knee so his leg would give out.

She grinned wickedly, still trying to avoid Zac, so as not to get tickled.

Isaac and Zac

"Hey!" Isaac objected.

He turned to Avery and then picked her up telekinetically.

"Try to hit me now!" He said, grinning.

"All right!" Zac said, and leapt upon his sister to tickle her.

Avery

"Noooooooooooooooo!" Avery cried, still giggling. She reached her arms out trying to hit Isaac and keep Zac off her, but to no avail.

She was getting out of breath with laughing so much, and she was poking Zac, trying to annoy him even more. Even though she knew he was just going to tickle her more.

Kinda a lose lose situation.

But it was fun.

Isaac and Zac

"Mwa ha ha ha ha ha ha!" Zac laughed evilly.

"Ahh, this is boring now," Isaac said.

He put Avery on the floor and contined walking to the kitchen, where he sat on the bench and started making lunch.

"Who wants what on their sandwich?" he asked.

Avery

"Chicken please." Avery gave her eldest brother a cheesey grin and sat down at the kitchen table.

"Does anyone want a juice?" Avery stood a second later and retrieved some cups and the juice from the fridge. Well, the cups she got from the cupboard.

Isaac and Zac

"I'll have one thanks, Avie," Zac said. "And I'll have ham, Ike."

"I'll have one too," Isaac told Avery. "Okay, one ham and one chicken sandwich coming up."

Avery

"Ham? Bleugh." Avie stuck her tongue out at Zac.

She poured them all drinks and put the juice back in the fridge.

"So what are we going to do today? You're not going out and leaving me again... either of you?"

Isaac and Zac

"I have no plans to go out," Zac said, taking a bite out of his sandwich.

"If we can con Tay into coming out of his room, I was thinking we should have a practice," Isaac said.

"smmf ggfff tmmm."

"And that in English roughly translates to?"

Zac swallowed.

"Sounds good to me."

Avery

Avery paused, remembering when Taylor tried to teach her the harmonica again.

"Has he left at all? I mean, besides to use the bathroom. Wait, is he leaving to use the bathroom?"

Isaac and Zac

"If he wasn't, his room would be very stinky by now," Zac replied, with a chuckle.

"Very. Putrid, in fact," Isaac agreed. "Was there anything in particular you wanted to do Avie?"

Avery

"Um... I don't know. Just hang out I guess. Watch some movies and stuff? It's been ages since I've spent time with you."

Avery grinned.

Isaac and Zac

Isaac and Zac looked at each other.

"I haven't watched any movies for a while," Zac said.

"Gee, I wonder why that is?"

Zac poked his tongue out at him.

Avery

"Yay!"

She finished her sandwich and waited patiently for her brothers.

"Say Zac... where were you last night?"

Isaac and Zac

"Yes Zac," Isaac asked mischeviously, "where were you?"

Zac shook his head in amusement.

"I was at a friend's place."

Avery

"Oh ok. Did you have fun? Coz you look happier than you did yesterday."

Isaac and Zac

A silly grin crossed Zac's face.

"Oh yes," he replied. "I had lots of fun."

Isaac snorted.

"I'm sure you did. The quetsion is... good behaviour or bad?"

"Do you even need to ask?"

"I didn't think so."

Avery

Avery frowned.

"I don't get it. But I don't wanna know. You know why? Coz I'm only 12. Plus, you're my brother and I don't wanna know about anything you did if you're being all gross."

Isaac and Zac

"You know what Avie? I'm with you on that one," Isaac said.

"You're just jealous," Zac stated.

Isaac looked his brother up and down.

"Of what?"

"Of everything that makes up the life of me."

"Uh huh. You keep telling yourself that, man, maybe one day you'll believe it."

Avery

Avery covered her ears with her hands.

"Lalalala, not hearing anything that might be yucky!" She sang, grinning cheekily at her brothers.

Isaac and Zac

Isaac and Zac looked at Avery, and then at each other.

"So, Ike, did I ever tell you about the time that Maggie and I -"

Isaac clamped his hands over his ears too.

"I'm with AVie on that one, Zac. La la la."

Avery

"Lala, if you've finished being yucky, can we watch TV?"

Avery's hands remained over her ears.

Zac

"TV it is then," ZAc said.

And so they went into the lounge room and watched TV.
