Christina T and Mouse
Christina drove her car carefully through the streets of Tulsa, humming tunelessly to her radio. A Hanson song came on and she grimaced, before reaching down to turn it off. Damn aliens. Why couldn't humans see what was right before their noses? She had a job to do however, and she'd been tracking this one for a while. She looked down at her notes. Jane Hall. Also known as Mouse. This one, and then perhaps she'd disappear to Mexico for a while. She'd heard that there was a colony down there. There were always aliens around.
~*~*~*~
Mouse walked down the street, smiling as Fafnir loped along at her side. Yesterday with Faith had been fun. She adored spending money. And now she was going to the Hansons. Yay! She couldn't wait until the actual ball. Fafnir ran on ahead.
~*~*~*~
Christina couldn't believe her luck. There was her target, walking down the street in plain daylight, and she couldn't see the wolf anywhere. Perfect. She pulled the car over and got out her rifle, quickly loading it and sighting along the barrel as the window slid down. She steadied the crosshairs on her target, and fired.
~*~*~*~
Mouse bent down to pat Fafnir as he came back, and then hit the ground hard as a bullet went wheet! past her head. She scrambled to her feet and bolted. What the hell?! As another bullet barely missed her, she knew it wasn't an accident. She ran faster.
~*~*~*~
Christina cursed, and ejected the spent cartridges before taking careful aim again. The silencer was keeping the noise to a minimum, but this target seemed to have the darndest luck. Christina squeezed the trigger.
~*~*~*~
Mouse fled down the street towards the Hanson house, bullets ricochetting around her feet.
~*~*~*~
"Goddamn alien!" Christina squealed the tyres and took off after Mouse.
~*~*~*~
Fafnir! Run!
What the hell do you think I'm doing?! Fafnir snarled, then yelped as a bullet struck him in the shoulder. Mouse screamed.
"FAFNIR!"
RUN!
NO! I won't leave you!
Run you stupid pup!
~*~*~*~
"Oh, lucky shot. And she's stopped." Christina's mouth twisted up in a feral grin. She swung the car in behind Mouse and opened the door, working the bolt action of the rifle and reloading.
~*~*~*~
Mouse looked up as a car swept in behind her and a woman that appeared to be of Indian descent got out. She had a rifle. Mouse saw that she was in front of the Hanson house, and screamed loudly. "HELP!"
~*~*~*~
"You know, you've been one of my most difficult targets ever?" Christina said almost cheerfully as she slid a new cartridge into the stock of the rifle and clicked it back together. "You're good. Pity you care so much about that animal. You could have run."
"I wouldn't leave him," Mouse said steadily, eyes fixed on Christina's face.
"Yeah, well, aliens get all sentimental about the stupidest things. Byebye, Mousey." Christina aimed the rifle at Mouse's head, and Mouse waited for the hunter to pull the trigger.
Isaac
Isaac thought he heard someone screaming, so he peered through the window at the stair case and saw a woman pointing a gun at Mouse.
Well, that could only be a bad thing.
And it also brought up the question, why did so many people try to hurt him and those he loved?
But instead of dwelling on these self-piting thoughts, he telekinetically pulled the rifle out of the woman's grip.
Amanda and Shakira
Amanda and Shakira were going for a walk. Shakira was bored again, so she had stopped by the apratment thatt Giles, Priss, and Amanda were renting, and she and Amanda decided to go over to the Hansons to see if Mouse was there, or if anybody wanted to hang out. They got the the Hansons' house and saw a woman pointing a gun at Mouse.
"No!" Amanda screamed, getting the woman's attention. Shakira sent a blast of water at the girl and pushed the gun out of her hands.
Isaac
Isaac grinned. He and Shakira had worked their kinesis at the same time! He still had hold of the gun, but it was waterlogged.
He put the gun down on the ground by Mouse's feet and then ran down the stairs, out the door and into the front yard.
Christina T and Mouse
"Oh, for the love of..." Christina muttered angrily and ran for her car. She had more weapons in there. "Goddamn aliens!" She flung open the door, got in the seat and drove away, tyres screaming as she struggled to close the door.
Mouse just gaped. This woman had tried to kill her because she was an alien? She hadn't even known she was an alien until a few months ago. Fafnir whimpered. "Shh, wolf, we'll get you fixed." Mouse ran trembling hands through Fafnir's fur. "Um. Thanks?" She was still in a bit of shock.
Meanwhile up the road, Christina was still fighting to get her car driving straight, the door closed and load a gun, more or less all at the same time.
Isaac
"Are you two all..." Isaac began, then saw that Fafnir was injured, "err, I guess not. I'll call Randy, but I don't know if he can heal animals."
He started back towards the house after a quick look to Amanda and Shakira.
MOuse and Christina T
Mouse panted in unison with Fafnir, the Pack bond between them more of a hindrance then a help. He whined and licked her cheek in search of reassurance.
Hurts.
I know. We'ff fix it. Heal you. Hurts.
Hurts.
Christina cursed steadily as she wrestled the door closed and sped off. Damn aliens. And now this one would know she was after it. God damn it all to hell. She pulled her seatbelt over her shoulder and buckled it, straightening the car's course finally. Once she was a few blocks away, she dropped to the speed limit.
Amanda
Amanda's 'spidey sense' that told her that evil was nearby was tingling.
"You guys, I don't think she's gone," the Slayer said. "But don't worry, if she's human, I can hurt her. Can't kill her, 'cause, you know, wrong, but I can hurt her," she said, smiling. She wasn't a vampire slayer for nothing.
Mouse
"Please do," Mouse said faintly.
Hurts.
I know, packmate, I know.
Help.
Will. Mouse shook her head and looked up. "Can we do something please? Fafnir hurts. I hurt. There's a lot of pain." She shivered s almost convulsively. Fafnir whined, and Mouse watched the blood seep from the wound. "We need to patch him up. Get the bullet out." She placed her hand over it to try and put some pressure on the wound.
Amanda
"let's get him inside," AManda said. "I learned a lot of first aid living on the Hellmouth, I'm pretty sure I can remove a bullet and my stitching isn't that bad. Let's just get inside. I think she's gonna come back soon. My Slayer sense is telling me the threat's not gone yet." Amanda helped Mouse to get Fafnir inside.
"Mouse, tell him that this is going to hurt, possibly more that the wound hurts now, but it has to hurt before I can fix it?"
Isaac
Isaac came back out.
"I just spoke to Randy. He said he's not in the habit of healing animals, but he's willing to give it a try, if Fafnir will let him, of course," Isaac told them. "He's on his way now."
Mouse
"We know." Mouse looked up, and then nudged the wolf. He whined. Up, we must get up.
As you say, pack. Fafnir rose wobbling to his feet and held his foot high, hunching his shouder against the pain. Hurts.
I know. They were both a bit glassy eyed with the pain. Mouse got to her feet, and Fafnir leaned against her legs.
Amanda
"Okay, Mouse, tell Fafnir that's this going to hurt for a bit, okay?" Amanda said. Using her pocketknife, she gently dig out the bullet. "Okay, Ike, you get your mom's sewing kit, and some peroxide or alcohol, and if you have it, an electric razor," Amanda directed.
Mouse
Fafnir growled as the bullet came out but didn't make a move of protest. Burns.
I know. Mouse was breathing through gritted teeth. Ok, she's gonna havta shave the fur off round the wound, and then put stuff on it to keep the germs out.
Bit of a lick and I'll be fine.
Ok. When it swells up and the pus starts to run, you'll whine a fair sight louder.
Fine. I'll let her do what she wants.
Good wolf.
Amanda
Very carefully, Amanda svaed around the hole and then poured peroxide on it. She winced when fafnir howled.
"Somebody, please, knock him out before I start stitching," she begged. "oh, get Avie, she can sedate him telepathically, can't she?"
Mouse
"Something like that would be good." Tears had started to roll from Mouse's eyes. "We haven't been hurt before...not like this. I didn't think the link went so deep..."
We are Pack.
We are.
Amanda
Tears came to Amanda's eyes as she felt the wolf shake when she jabbed the needle through the wolf's skin.
"Somebody, please, knock him out!"
Isaac
Isaac heard the doorbell rang, and left to answer it. When he reentered the room, Randy was with him.
"I see you started without me," Randy smiled.
"Can you do anything for the pain?" Isaac asked.
"I should be able to do that much at least."
Randy knelt down beside Fafnir and gently place his hand on him.
"Okay... you shouldn't be feeling any pain now..." Randy said. "I could try sealing it if you want?"
Mouse
Ahhh. Fafnir relaxed as the pain left.
"Thank you," Mouse whispered, shoulders slumping and breathing slowing. "Whatever you think is best."
Amanda
"Please, please do, I don't want to have to stitch him if I don't have to," Amanda said, wiping away her tears. The pain Mouse was feeling through Fafnir was getting to everybody emotionally.
Isaac and Randy
Randy nodded and concentrated. It took him longer than usual, because he was used to Dathrians and other humanoids, but soon Fafnir was all healed up.
"There," Randy said. "He should be right as rain now."
"Thanks Randy," Isaac said.
Mouse
"Thank you." Mouse looked at her hands. "I think I need to go and get cleaned up." Her hands were covered in blood from Fafnir's wound. She stood, and Fafnir curled up in a ball. She blinked slowly as she fought down a wave of dizziness then set off slowly to the stairs, trying not to touch anything and not to break down into tears.
Taylor
Taylor knew she was coming, and was waiting for her outside the bathroom.
When he caught sight of her, tears welled in his eyes.
"Mouse?" he caught her attention.
"I... I heard him screaming... and I couldn't..."
Mouse
"I know." Mouse looked at him and swayed on her feet. "I, I need to get cleaned up." She nudged the door open with her shoulder and ran some water, washing her hands clean of blood. "Je sais, mon amour, je sais. Nous sommes très bien maintenant. Il est guéri et je... j'irai bien." She watched the red tinged water swirl down the plughole. "It was an alien hunter. She...I think she's been after me for a while."
Amanda
Amanda sat back, edgy and upset. "Listen, I can't do this. I have to find this botch and kick her ass. And if I can't find her, then I'll find something else to kill, b ut something needs to get dead, fast," Amanda said, practically growling.
Taylor
"Je me suis juste senti si délaissé. Pardonnez ma crainte pour l'extérieur, svp?"
He made his way over to her, wrapping his arms around his waist and swaying her as two tears rolled down his cheek.
"I know he hurts. Y a-t-il quelque chose que je puis faire pour vous maintenant?"
Mouse
Mouse turned around in his arms and wrapped her arms around his neck. "Je ne vous blâme pas, ne pourrais jamais, pas jamais. Minds heal slower then bodies. I know, Tay, I know. Don't cry, please." She started projecting soothing emotions of her love and support for him. "He'll be fine. Really. We've just never been hurt that badly before. We've always managed to run. But a healer came and healed Fafnir completley, and Amanda got the bullet out." Mouse kissed him. "We'll be fine. I didn't know the link went that deep, is all. Shocked me some."
Taylor
Taylor just nodded sadly, letting her sooth him.
He closed his eyes for a moment and kissed her.
"They'll be expecting you back," he sighed shakily, "Soin pour lui d'une manière que je , svp."
He kissed her again and pulled away.
Mouse
"I would rather stay with you. Fafnir is asleep now, and I think they know why I might be delayed." Mouse touched his hand. "I feel that you hurt. I would much rather stay."
Taylor
"Je t'aime ange," Taylor smiled a little, "Mais vous savez qu'il n'y a pas beaucoup que vous pouvez faire..."
He ran his fingers through her hair, holding more tears back. Then he suddenly felt a headache coming on and his eyes widened.
"Hold that thought, I... I need something."
He rushed from the bathroom and back to his room. Flavian looked up startled as Taylor began rummaging through his drawers.
"Oh God, where is it?!" he yelled to himself.
Mouse
"What's wrong?" Mouse walked over to the doorway of his room, and blanched as his pain hit her. She put a hand on the wall, and then slowly crumpled to the ground. It was all just too much...first Fafnir, and now Taylor. All of the combined pain she'd felt in such a short time caught up on her and sent her into a dead faint.
Taylor
"JANE!" Taylor exclaimed, and ran over to her.
But then the pain hit him, and he cried out falling beside her.
"Oh GOD!" he yelled, covering his ears and closing his eyes as hard as he could, before trying to get himself together.
Through pain-stricken eyes he saw his last draw open, and began to crawl toward it. Rummaging through carefully he found the box of pills and ripped it open. He put one in his mouth and quickly swallowed it, choking a little.
Then he sat back, his head in his hands, as he waited for the pain killer to kick in.
It took a few minutes before the pain slowly began to subside.
"Man..." he groaned, before catching sight of Mouse again.
He crawled over to her and shook her shoulder.
"Jane? Jane? Baby, wake now," he pleaded.
Mouse
Mouse didn't answer him. Fafnir scrabbled up the steps and went to her side.
Pack? Pack, wake up. He nosed her side and whined anxiously. Please wake up. Leader, what do we do? He looked at Taylor with trust in his eyes. Wake her, please? He licked Mouse's cheek and whimpered in distress, but trusting Taylor to make it right.
Taylor
Taylor cringed and held his head.
It hurt when his mind automatically translated what Fafnir said.
"Jane... Jane..." his voice cracked as he shook her.
"She faint. Lots emotion, she faint," he tried to explain to Fafnir, "wake she soon."
He ran his fingers down the side of her face, tears falling down his cheek. Then he looked up at Fafnir.
"Fafnir is ok?"
Mouse
I'm fine. Bullet. Hurt. Gone now. Fafnir shrugged. Bloody Slayer girl shaved some of my fur off, and poured stuff on it that stung like the buggery but it doesn't hurt anymore. You alright? Don't sound fine. Fafnir nosed Mouse again, whining. Wake up, Mouseling. Please.
Mouse
"I be soon ok," Taylor insisted.
He patted Mouse's face, and eventually bent over to kiss her.
Then he took her hand a squeezed it, before moving her into a more comfortable position than which she fell.
"Come Mouse, wake," Taylor fretted, suddenly wondering if she really was ok.
Mouse
Fafnir curled up by Mouse's side and looked at Taylor anxiously. Last time this happened, we were caught in a riot, in a city. People died. She hasn't been out like this since then. He licked her cheek again. I don't know what's wrong, I don't.
Taylor
"Maybe help need," Taylor sighed finally.
He glanced at Fafnir.
"Can Faf' find Ike mom? Empath can know, mom."
Mouse and Diana
Fafnir nodded, and with one last scenting of Mouse's hair got to his feet and limped off. Right. He followed Diana's scent trail through the house, and found her. He went up to her, grabbed the hem of her dress between his teeth and pulled her towards the door. Come on, lady.
"Fafnir, what is going on?" Diana asked as the determined wolf tugged her towards the door. "Stop that!" She swatted at his nose, and Fafnir dropped her dress, ran towards the door and looked over his shoulder at her. She followed him. "Jane? What's wrong with your wolf? Oh!" She saw Mouse and Taylor on the ground outside Taylor's bedroom, and ran to them. "What happened?" She put the back of her hand to Mouse's head as she knelt down.
Taylor
"Emotion lots. No it handle."
Taylor cursed mentally to himself, realizing how much of an idiot he sounded. But he knew it'd last a few more minutes at least.
"She faint. Not wake. Ok?"
Avery
Avery ran out from her room and saw Mouse.
She came over carefully.
"Oh my gosh... I heard everything... I just... is she going to be ok?"
Diana and Mouse
Diana nodded. "She should wake up soon then. Are you alright though, Taylor?"
He's not. Can smell it. Fafnir said bluntly, and then dropped down beside Mouse again, laying his head against her chest. Wake up, Mouse. Please.
Taylor
"Tay fine," Taylor insisted, giving Fafnir a stern look, "will be. Soon."
He tapped his temple.
"Telepath fit. Tanya's medic. I be ok when settle."
Mouse
Mouse was running in her head. Nightmare dreaming again. She screamed as whatever it was caught her, and then woke up, still screaming. She tried to run again, not realising she was awake but couldn't due to Fafnir's weight on her chest. "Huh, wha, ok." She glanced around wildly, then sighed. "Sorry. Bit of a flip out there. I was running, and then I woke up. Couldn't tell which was real for a bit." She looked at Taylor. "Are you alright? You hurt."
Taylor
"Jane!" Taylor exclaimed, bending over to hug her with a grin on his face.
"Faf' an' I worried. You for. You not wake."
He closed his eyes for a moment, trying to keep talking to a minimum until he could actually control it.
Mouse
"Sorry. I don't know what happened..." Mouse shook her head dazedly. "I feel so out of it." She looked at the wolf on her chest. "Off." He moved and she sat up. "Ow. Remind me the next time I faint to make sure there's something soft beneath me."
Avery
Avery smiled worriedly.
"I should go see how everyone else is. I'm glad you're up, Mousey."
Mouse
"Me too. I don't like my nightmares. They're rather terrifying." She grinned at them all. "But, hey. Awake now."
Please don't do that again. So worried. Fafnir said.
"Don't plan on doing it, really."
Taylor
Taylor pulled Mouse into his lap so he could hug her better as Diana left.
He suddenly felt the release on his mind, and grinned.
"I was so worried about you back there," he said, finally normally, "I had no idea... I mean, I know you connect with Fafnir that way, but not me."
He kissed her forehead.
"It's an after-effect of what I went through, but I have medication for it. If I didn't I'd still be out of it... and you probably would too."
Mouse
You're Pack. Fafnir said simply. To be Pack is to be one. Is to belong. He shook his head, growling in frustration. Ah, I can't make the words match what I mean. To be Pack is to be all. Pack is. That is all, and it is enough. Of course she felt it. I did. We do. He shook his head hard again, then looked at Taylor. I don't know the words. You'd havta to *be* wolf to understand. She understands it more then you do, but she doesn't get it all either. Pack is.
"I didn't know I had linked that hard," Mouse said thoughtfully. "Do you mind?" She looked at him, suddenly worried.
Taylor
"I don't mind," Taylor shook his head, then looked at Fafnir.
"I've been involved in 'Pack' before... it kind of happens when you communicate with animals."
He sighed.
"Except you know, unfortunately an animal's life span isn't as long as ours. I've lost so many close friends through aging. But birds are actually pretty good - you get friends through generation," he grinned, "like at the tournament, I sent a sparrow to find Ashley for some girls who's mother had done a similar job for me the year before. That sparrow had followed along as a baby so she knew what to do. I'm guessing next year she'll have her own young. Gloria's been there for many years, and I don't know what I'll do without her."
Mouse
I die when I die, and go hunting in the forests beyond the sky. Fafnir shrugged. Won't do it yet though. Want to see Mouse grow up a bit more.
"I'm sorry, Fafnir...I basically ruined whatever chance you had of having pups." Mouse's eyes welled with tears, and Fafnir looked up sharply.
Hey, none of that! I don't mind.
Taylor
"Well you know..." Taylor began with a grin, "there are some nice female dogs around here just under your age, and I know quite a few are getting to be on heat."
He grinned at Mouse.
"You should hear the kind of things they start saying at this time of year," he shook his head, "but you know Fafnir, if you want a girlfriend I'm normally a pretty good matchmaker in the animal kingdom. The door's open."
Mouse
Well, me and the rest of the Folk fixed you two up pretty good. Fafnir's grin was appropriatly wolfish. Might be fun, ey? Although...half wolf pups can be a problem. They ain't quite dog, and they ain't quite wolf. But anyway, I'm off. Fafnir heaved himself to his feet. Hunting. I'm hungry.
"Ok." Mouse nodded. "See you when you get back."
Soon, probably. There's some very stupid rats around here.
"And I don't havta hear. I feel it. It's funny, sometimes." The wolf laughed as he loped down the stairs.
Taylor
Taylor grinned after him.
"If you do want to set him up, there's quite a few dogs that might suit him actually. Prixy might be too small, but there's always Gemma on fifth street - she's a German Shepherd, or Chloe's a border Collie. Her owner takes her for a walk around the next block weekly."
He suddenly hesitated, realizing what he was considering, and chuckled.
He began to get up, pulled Mouse up with him, and pulled her back into his room. He'd spent too much time out of there.
"Did you hear about Meena?" he asked, closing the door.
Mouse
"Yeah, isn't it cool?" Mouse bounced. "Baby fuzzles! And aren't you two just so proud of yourselves?" She cooed to the fuzzles.
Me dad! Yay! Flavian puffed up proudly. Meena good mom, I bet!
I bet you two will be perfect parents. Mouse smiled and tickled Flavian with her finger as she resolutely blocked the bad memeories she had of this room away.
Taylor
"Yeah, you're the daddy aren't you?" Taylor grinned, "and you just didn't bother to let me in on it."
He smiled at Mouse.
"Dad just told me yesterday. My dad, not Flav'."
Mouse
"Your dad's pretty cool." Mouse smiled back. "And Flav is excellent at keeping secrets. Remember?" Her grin got a bit mischeivous.
Taylor
"Yeah, my dad's cool," Taylor grinned, pulling her down onto the bed with him, "but you know, Flavian isn't the only good one at hiding things, huh?"
He kissed her neck.
"Maybe I've been a bad influence," he chuckled.
Mouse
"If you ask your mother, she'd say Faith was the bad influence. Her and Zac. But of course, it would never be all Zac's fault...grrr. Ignore me, you don' want to listen to me talk about that. But yeah. Corrupted. Poor innocent lil' me." She kissed him back. "Wanna influence me more?"
Taylor
"Zac and Faith? Ok, for one thing Zac hasn't been in my room for months, and I'm sure... ok well, I don't know what's happened when I'm not here, Faith may have been in my room with Flav' for all I know..."
He hesitated.
"Zac and Faith? Is Faith Zac's girlfriend then?"
Mouse
Mouse's eyes widened. "Bother. You're too good at figuring things out. But you can't tell your mom. She doesn't want to know what they are together, which is sparks and hearts, and oh, very much the lovebirds. But she thinks Faith isn't good enough for her precious child. It's annoying." She grimaced. "Hurts them both. Her not liking and accepting Faith. Anyway, I know Ike knows. And maybe Jessi, but I'm not sure about her. Your parents don't."
Taylor
"Well dad has the excuse, he's hardly ever home now they know about the bomb."
He almost choked out the last words.
"Ah sorry, nothing to worry about. Ok, so Faith's Zac's girlfriend. If I'd just heard that I'd be worried, but she must be ok if she's your friend."
He nuzzled her neck a little.
Mouse
"She's nice. She's fun to be around." Mouse relaxed back into his carresses. "Mmm. Nice."
Taylor
"Well I would have found out soon anyway," he considered, "I have my spies. Did you know Jess has a boyfriend? She sneaks him in all the time. One of the Ka'Millans gets worried about her so he watches her alot. Although he's kind of... you know, posessive of the whole family. If something's wrong with someone he normally tells me. He's the one that's usually the black dog. Used to be my white cat."
He chuckled.
"The other one's a bit more reserved."
Mouse
"Yeah...spent some time talking with them. Fafnir doesn't like them, says they smell wrong but yeah. They're nice. They adore you." Mouse closed her eyes, resting easy now.
Taylor
Taylor chuckled as he put his arms around her.
"Well we've had them for a long time, and I can't help being friends with pets... it's a bit hard not to."
He looked over at Flavian and Meena.
"But you know, I'm betting things are going to be a bit hectic in this room next month. Five or six little balls of fluff I have to live with," he chuckled, "I don't think I'm ever gonna sleep again."
Mouse
"Probably not. Sidhe's pretty active at night herself, and she can be a bit of a handful. She pulled my computer moniter off the desk the other day, nearly got herself squashed." Mouse smiled fondly. "But she's cute. And I bet the fuzzles will be cute too."
Taylor
"Oh they'll be cute," Taylor nodded insistently, "they always are in the beginning. Then they get into that teenager phase, then they become cute again when they're adults."
He chuckled.
"Until they go through their little menopause phase. I haven't had a fuzzle get to that stage yet, so I'm watching out for Flavian."
He heard the fuzzle give a little 'huff'.
"Don't start," he warned, "you know it's gonna happen."
The fuzzle sighed.
MOuse
Mouse giggled. "Don't be mean to the poor little fuzzle. He needs to get the nine to fve job and nagging wife yet."
Meena no nag. Flavian sounded confused, and Mouse laughed harder. Silly Mouse.
Taylor
Taylor grinned.
"Thank God they're not that much like us," he chuckled, "I've already promised Avery that she could look after one. I think it would be good to keep them all in the one house so they can stay close. Kind of like our family. Ike and I should have moved out ages ago."
He chuckled again.
"Do you want one? I could reserve one for you. I'm going to keep at least two or three."
Mouse
"Might be nice. Fuzzles are pretty sweet little things. But Sidhe and a live in fuzzle? Could be dangerous."
Taylor
"Well maybe I could explain to Sidhe that you know... one bite and she'll either choke to death or spend a few days trying to get the fur out of her throat," he chuckled.
"I'd love to know the colour combination we're going to get though," he added thoughtfully, making a point of not mentioning the black and whites, "I mean, blue and yellow make green..."
Mouse
"Can't you just see her?" Mouse giggled. "But I wouldn't inflict Sidhe on a poor little confused fuzzle. I would like one though...might take a bit of explaining, that yes, here is another creature she can't hunt. At least Nevyn can take care of himself..."
Taylor
"Well you and Avie can have one," Taylor hugged her closer, "I'm thinking of keeping at least one for myself. Maybe two. But you know, that's if the babies make it. For all I know they could be born premature. It happens."
He sighed and kissed her forehead.
"You want to stay here until Fafnir gets back?"
Mouse
"Nah, I better get home. Nevyn will be throwing a fit, I bet." She got up reluctantly. "He'll have felt it, and he'll know I'm alright but he'll want to make sure."
Taylor
"Ok," Taylor sighed sadly, getting up with her.
He took both her hands in his and bent down to kiss her.
"Please be careful out there. You don't know if they'll be hanging around or not," he pleaded before kissing her again.
Mouse
"It was only the one, I think. And she was so angry with herself...I don't think she'll try again for a while. And I'll be watching now." Mouse ran her thumb along his cheek. "Don't worry so much. I've dodged worse."
Taylor
Taylor kissed her again, then hugged her.
"Je t'aime, ange. Fais svp attention, je prie de vous," he whispered, before leading her to the door.
He opened it for her, before kissing her again.
Mouse
"Je vous aime aussi, chér. Pas l'irritation. Je serai beau. Seulement. ..come et me voit bientôt, bien? Ne pas vous regarder dans votre salle à jamais." Mouse kissed him again. "Je viendrai encore bientôt." And with that she left, willing the tears down. She wanted him to heal, oh so very badly. It hurt, seeing him like this. She went home, reassured Nevyn and waited for Fafnir to return from his huting.
